Private A.I. (Test Page) (Patreon)

There's a bit of backstory behind this particular page, which was drawn by Katsu before starting Danger Zone One.

When I had first commissioned Katsu, I was undecided whether I wanted him to work on Danger Zone One, or another project titled Private A.I., so I had him do test pages for both.

This was the initial sample page for Private A.I., featuring the main character, Anri, in combat with a power suit. As a side note, this mech  was one of the original concept designs for the power suit that eventually turned up in the first chapter of Danger Zone One.

While I really liked Katsu's work on the Private A.I. test page, as seen above, I felt his style was better suited for Danger Zone One. I've always envisioned Private A.I. to have a darker noir aesthetic, while Danger Zone One was more lighter and fun--which fit Katsu's art perfectly.
