Pheeeewwww lots to dissect here. I was basically mentally dead by the end of this ep 😅 I tried to look at all the angles for each of the conflicts that occurred, hopefully I got to everything.

Sorry this took a bit longer to put out. The uncut version was 3.5 hours long (1.5 hours longerrrr than the actual footage 😂)

apparently the unaired battles were just uploaded in mnet's yt channel i think and they were better than the ones that have been aired 😭 you can totally see that this season has more diverse genre

Ok I think bc I was binging season 1 again, I can remember clearly. But in S1 Monika definitely was also there helping with directing for prowdmon’s main dancer part for their class the same way Kirsten is. If not wayyy more involved. She was like giving her feedback and even moving ppl around on the shooting day. The show spent like 30 secs on it though and no one else got an issue with it aside from a couple observation from the others. It’s weird that in this case, the class is so intensely judged about it. I think that’s hard to say it’s not at all allowed bc we’ve seen it allowed. I think Latrice still made most of the call about Kirsten is just there to say ok yeah that looks good, I think that’s ok. In reinas case, we see the other girls help her out too with arrangements. Since this is the class with less experienced dancers, I think not everyone would be great at directing, so it would be good to have a group effort. From the edit, it looks like latrices group did a lot of judging and not enough helping with ideas. It just seems a lot more tense than the cooperative environment Raina got (could just be the edits too). I think she’s not comfortable with opening up to them for help and just want to get Kirsten support to make sure she’s not doing anything wrong. Plus the whole “physical” drama that happened after the main dancer audition, she probably already felt discriminated against (whether that is happening or not) so I can imagine she put more pressure on herself and didn’t feel confident without Kirsten’s support. Idk it may jsut be the evil edits though. It’s hard to tell what’s actually happening.

ahhh ok. ya i don’t remember monika doing that (tbf it’s been awhile ahha). then if so, i guess ya it’s been done and there really isn’t anything wrong with it at the end of the day. i think i’m still very much wondering if it *should* be allowed - both in s1 and s2 because it is a class mission and it is an opportunity for the main dancers to do their thing and grow on their own. see what they can accomplish etc. yes even rookies because these people have seen how they are directed etc (tbf a lot of them are very experienced- they’re just newer to their respective crews) ps. i didn’t look into the whole lattice/redlic drama that was apparently cut so i’m not sure about the tension other than what i saw on the eps so far.

Since the ability to make the call to direct is like a privilege they earn for getting the main dancer position on top of extra points and not supposed to be a criteria or elimination or points deduction toward the main dancer, the show probably jsut didn’t put a focus on if it’s right or wrong to get help. I think one thing about this show is that they will put extra rules/challenges and privileges to mix things up and get ppl extra point but the end goal of each mission is still the same. At the end of this mission, the goal is to earn points and point out a “worst dancer” for elimination. The moment Latrice got the main dancer position she basically can do wev she wants. Lol it’s funny with this show. I think they want some loose rules so it’s easier to manipulate the footage later and make it into wev they want. Production can make it into something ppl overlooked or drummed up to be a main drama. Those Evil geniuses …

I already saw a lot of dancers doing SMOKE Challenge on my feed. 👏 Bada also shared some on her IG stories. The only Smoke challenge posted on her account were with Shotaro and Taeyong. Ofc it's SM artists. HAHA 😍 It was soooo good!!!

I think there's nothing wrong with Kirsten getting involved on set. The points are awarded the second they are awarded main dancer. Everything after that is about making as cool a video as possible. It works to the benefit of all the dancers if more people like and watch the final product. If there was an award for best video i'd agree with you.

mannequeen's leader was also in the set of the shooting but mnet didn't showed it the way they showed kirsten. Mnet is really finding all possible ways to put a drama on jam republic because they seem to just have fun and be positive with the show atp.

Funky-Y leader of Manequeen was also on the set of Mid class so i guess it’s normal for leaders to be there since they are the main dancer/choreographer. We also don’t know as to what extent the leaders were involved since it was only Kirsten being on the set for Latrice that was highlighted.

And the best choreo/direction in my opinion was Latrice’s. It was just perfect. Everyone had their own spotlight. So very generous of her.

The length is fine for me cuz I am actually watching (listening to) it while working and I enjoy it a lot!! Love you explanation on diff pov when it comes to how being on set can affect dancers and choreo, was very good to have that idea in mind for other videos and future shows too!!

Surprisingly, Bucky, a rookie member of Mannequeen, is the third oldest person in the program and the her major genre is Krump (and she was the Roh Taehyun's Krump teacher!)... I don't think this worst dancer selection is wrong but I think Bucky did her best in her situation.

Bada is now reaping the fame for creating the Next Level or the hot choreographer of Kpop but her forte are for boy groups. Tho most of her submitted choreo for Aespa was not fit for the girls coz when you watch Girls mv. Fun Fact: Bada was part of Lisa's back up in dance cover Tomboy in 2021. Most of Next Level choreo was also done by Rozalin of Want from SWF1 which people failed to recognize and to give her credit. Redlic joined SM full time Aug 2022 and the overall in-house dance director of Aespa who also decides which choreos to be used from the submitted samples of diff dancers contacted by SM for the potential comeback songs. Another fun fact, Redlic was a YGX crew member from 2021 before Next Level release, mentored Giselle in dancing while the other Aespa members were mentored by Gaga of CocaNButter.

Hahaha, honestly if I were to vote I would keep 1 million and Tsubakill. To me Tsubakill was definitely the best one. Bebe's choreo seemed a bit to "simple" to me. But all 3 of them were still great. And I did watch it until the end! ahah

LMAOO don't worry, I watched until the end. -also personally, I would've kept 1MILL & TSUBAK cause I felt they had stronger choreo's in specific parts (like 1Mill for Not Shy and Tsuba for Maniac) I felt like Bebe's team was weaker in both, I liked it but It wasn't enough for me but maybe they just didn't want to vote for Bebe because of how her huge presence that fills the choreo up, but at the same time! - it could also be a strategy, weaker team goes home so.... you never know haha

i will say about the whole thing with kirsten helping latrice and all is that mnet decided to make it a big deal for drama but if you pay attention to the middle class, mannequeen's leader was overseeing the filming to support yoonji and waackxxy too! i bet everyone else in every class got help behind the scenes too so it pretty unfair to just single out latrice for that

I am probably insane because I watch the entire episode by myself and then I come and watch your reaction to them... so it's almost like 5-6 hours of Street Woman Fighter content... LOL granted I usually have your video on in the background, and for the most part I skip a lot of the drama dialogue from the show and listen to your commentary about the dancing. But I would say I watch about 90% of your video from start to finish.

I started to think my videos are kinda like podcast episodes but with video. a lot of people rewatch so even if you guys do other things while watching, you guys know what im talking about if you were just listening. Damn watching Mannequeen's video right after Latrice is like night and day. It made me feel so bad for Latrice with all her team bashing her and complaining especially with Mnet broadcasting it and showing her in a negative light when she did a better job showing the members than any other team. In Mannequeen's video all I could see was yoonji and waackxxy and not because they were better, but because they took all the center position yet they tried to make Latrice bad for getting a few shots in. Also having their leader come in on set and giving feedback did not get the same treatment as when Kristine came by.

I didn't think I would ever watch street woman fighter, but after seeing the song cover challenges everywhere recently I decided to watch along with you! This show is so entertaining and interesting and I can't believe I've been missing out all this time! I might watch the first season once this one is done too ^^

As much as I love MQ I really hate the middle class video. I think they could have used the other teams in a better way. My fav videos are the rookies and the leaders videos. The subleaders video feels more like an american music video but I don't hate it.

Overall, I preferred Tsubakill and Bebe's crews because I felt like their choreos were more clean and polished. In particular, Bada had amazing stage presence as the center for both songs and that energy flowed which made her crew look even more unified. As a leader, she did a good job giving feedback to the members during practice and that really showed in their performance because everyone was sharp and on point. I think Bebe's moves left a strong impression and impact that was more memorable to me. For Tsuba, I think they killed it with both songs and I just enjoyed their witty sense and composition in their choreo. I enjoyed their team performance the most as a viewer and I thought they had good balance and highlights that caught my eye. I was so impressed by Yumeri and how she executed the acrobatic moves in that moment which increased the difficulty of the "Maniac" choreo without looking out of place. Although, I enjoyed the choreo that 1MILLION made for "Not Shy" and the visual imagery they showed in "Maniac", I agree that the latter half could have been better. Also, Lia did say that it usually takes her a week to create her choreos so "Maniac" felt weaker and fell short compared to how good "Not Shy" was. I applaud and respect all the teams for creating such solid choreographies in the limited time they had to prepare.

Don't worry we are watching it all! I wouldn't watch these shows without you, I comment back agreements and other commentary like I'm on a Zoom call with you lol. I just watch while doing a bunch of other stuff. I've been playing catch up since this weekend and I'm hooked. I'm going to suffer once I stop having episodes to watch. I'm super curious how the Korean audience took it when the Korean groups lost to the foreigners. Jam Republic is totally my team! But ManneQueen and Bebe are also favorites. Bada is SO cool.
