this time the drama is being played up to the max and mnet is practically digging for tea between different dancers and making look and sound worse than it actually is😭 normally this wouldnt faze us regular street dance fighter viewers but since jam republic & tsubakill are bringing in alot of newer international viewers who know nothing about mnets evil editing, its kind of giving the korean dance industry a little bad rep... :")

Hey Jeff about the visa, it must be that Kirsten and the other international dancers have to get a working visa that is different with the tourist visa. Getting a working visa in Korea is a little bit harder to get.

I’m not watching the show until all the episodes are out. But I just want to let you know that Bada Lee was one of Sung Hanbin’s main dance teacher and they seem to be friends as well. They made a choreo together which Hanbin posted on their twitter & Hanbin has been in Bada Lee’s dance classes Hoping for a Sung Hanbin appearance on swf2 too🙏

Audrey is very versatile she has danced since she was little ,she dances jazz ,tap,ballet ,contemporary dance ,hiphop ,krump and has experience in break dance. Latrice, also from jam republic , is quite well known in china since she participated in the program street dance of China (for me the best dance program I have seen , the judges that have been invited to the program are the best) the mentors that latrice has been with are Jackson Wang, Henry Lau (former member of superjunior), Wang Yibo, Lay and even Tao (former member of exo), latrice's performances in the program were very good, that's why she has given classes in the best Chinese dance academies.

Regarding what you said with Audrey's battles about not seeing the full cut, you can find the full uncut camera footage on their channel on youtube (The choom). To watch it though you gotta use VPN cause it's only available in korea. You can use Veilduck VPN its so good and free. I wish you start doing this for the next episodes as well🙏🏻. They also posted crew choreographies for each of these crews that we were out before the show started, more as an intro. I would really love it if you check these out and have a better understanding of how they work as crews before evaluating them separately.

LOL yeah I dont mind the drama/"evil editing" bc its entertaining which is part of the reason for why ppl even watch these shows. If I had to sit and watch this for nearly 2 hours and everyone was cheering for each other like it was camp...I would be bored out of my mind. I COMPLETELY AGREE that kirsten vs waackxxxy shouldn't have gone to another round bc i think kirsten was underwhelming that first round. But I think kirsten should have won that battle against yoonji. Kirsten's strengths lie in the strength of her isolations and her ability to follow very complex beats in the music

You talked about the set, I feel like the budget may not have been as high at least here because they were also doing QUEENDOM PUZZLE around the same time if I'm not wrong? I know some people watching QD talked about the budget too so it was maybe done half for QD and half for SWF. However, I honestly think it's a better set than SMF, it's may not be as fancy but I feel like the set of SMF was making the atmosphere heavier (darker etc) I already love the pilot because you can see there are already dramas but you can already see them being supportive of each others like a good example is Yoonji/Kristen shaking hands and complimenting each others after the battle. Here I totally don't mind the edit/drama, it isn't as bad as SMF or at least I can take it. It felt very similar to SWF S1. You can already tell for example that Yoonji seem to act sometimes for the entrainment factor (like dancing in front of BADA LEE). Gabee/Hyojin Choi and Honey J did talk about it already, even Ingyoo for SMF, some play into it. From what the fans of some crews said, MNET definitely make a big deal of the tea between the contestants when for some of them it isn't as bad as we think I agree with you for the KIRSTEN VS WAACKXXXY, in my opinion WAACKXXXY should have won first round. It's so funny because Yoonji remind me of Noh Taehyun, they are little n fierce and you honestly don't really want to mess with them The Battles with Audrey were posted on THE CHOOM if you are interested, MNET definitely did a set up, I'm sure they didn't show the best video out here. Also someone mentionned it but they also posted crew introduction. It would be cool to see you react to that. The Japanese group danced on a song made by two members of XG You want crazy tea about the Lia Kim/Mina Myoung and DEEP N DAP/1MILLION drama? Because Mina Myoung called out about one of her members (Tina Boo) making Gashina choreography (at least 80 / 90% of it). After episode 1 was aired, 1MILLION suddenly changed the description etc to finally give her credits after 6 years

Harimu has been in 1million even before SGF, and that's why she had to be in a different crew with Nain. She said on SGF that they were supposed to be on the show as a united group of individual members, but at some point they had to go under the name of JERK team, which is Nain's team, so she decided to split up the team.

I enjoyed S1 a lottt but I actually planned to wait for more episodes before starting S2 but decided to watch it now because I saw a lot of great clips 😂 When they announced the line-up I was so excited especially for Bada Lee!! As expected, she's sooo good! Audrey I love her too! LOL I already have my biases so early on. But tbh, they're all so good!! This show will be a HIT! 💯🔥🙌🏻 With Lia Kim and Mina Myoung, I hope they can resolve their issues and or misunderstandings through this show. It reminds me of Honey J and Rihey from S1. I'm glad they reconciled. I hope Lia and Mina have the same outcome as them 🙏🏻

About the visa thing. If you're going to teach abroad you will need a working visa. Anthony Lee of Kinjaz always mentions that they need a working visa if they are going to teach in other countries and he's a US passport holder. And if anyone wants to come to Europe starting 2024 you will need a permit to travel. US and Canada you'll need a permit.😊

Street dance of china is amazing! I've been watching it since season 1 and it's hands down the best dance survival\reality show. I was thinking of asking Jeff to watch it for years but it's just too long. He should still check it out on his own, it is too good to overlook

I think in terms of Afro dance, Kirsten did so well but because people aren’t too familiar with that dance style. People might not be as receptive to it, and it can end up looking a little less strong. To me, felt like it was a tie battle when you’re really looking at the dance style and what she did but that’s just me

The moves you recognized in Harimu's Level Up battle were indeed by Royal Family, with Kirsten right in the center of that performance (then the choreo was used for XG's test), so it was so funny to think that she did pay that tribute right in front of Kirsten's eyes 😆 I sooo wished they had showed her face/reaction during that part!

I don't think Jam Republic is all from New Zealand. Kirsten, and Emma are from NZ, Ling Zhang is chinese but she's from Australia, Audrey Lane is from America (but she said she's half Mexican and half Filipino), not sure about LaTrice but I think she's from Australia too. Also, a Fun Fact about Jam Republic, Kiel Tutin is one of their Creative Directors. Idk their structure but on the website of Jam Republic Agency, some choreographers like Bada Lee and Lee Jung and other familiar/well-known names are listed there as their Artists.

as they are an agency, they probably act like the western representation for Bada and Lee Jung. they would get work for them outside of sk -- they would be their capitol records. so jam probably have their core group, but also acts as an agent to maximize connections and profit.

yay! so glad you’re reacting to this and just rejoined your patreon so i could tag along :-) i’m really liking this new season so far! i totally agree with you about that first battle between kirsten and waackxxxy — should not have been a tie and gone to waackxxxy in the first round. so far i’m rooting for tsubakill, 1mil, and jam republic! favorite dancers are babysleek, mini, rena, sayaka, yoonji, bada, and kirsten!
