I was shocked at their singing too! Gunwook is really an all-rounder. In wild idol, he placed first in vocal, rap, and dance each at least once, and if you want to hear his singing more (which I recommend :) ), there are clips from wild idol on youtube of his vocals. he's truly insane!! <3

I feel like especially with Gunwook's singing, he was always either rapping or the song was too bouncy and he lost some vocal stability (which would've been the case for literally anyone doing those high energy songs). I feel like the first time we really got to hear his potential was during Jelly Pop, however that performance was prerecorded. That was the first time for me I really heard his potential as a vocalist. He does tend to get a bit shouty when there's too much movement going on I feel like, which was the case during the signal song test. But when he's just standing still and singing he has such an incredible voice. It really has an RnB vibe to it. I think he has to work a bit on his breathing while dancing but once he becomes more stable, he has great potential and he'll be a true all-rounder.

I also surprise of Gunwook and Ricky voices they killed it with Hanbin good harmonization and gyuvin too man they are talented even the other vocal lines are not present Im excited for their album🥹 thank you jeff for this reaction 🙂

Mommae by Jay Park was peak Honey J choreo but also the MV is too racy hence why Gunwook can’t cover. I honestly forget he’s the same age as NiKi from Enhypen but gunwook is Jan and niki is dec 2005 so it’s this weird waiting game concept wise of more mature concepts.

so kstarnext door is how you’re gonna find out that 4 of them (taerae, hao, hanbin, and gunwook) are better than the average 4th main vocalist and other 2 (matthew and ricky) are better than the average 4th gen lead vocalist?

"Debut or Die" is the title of a famous web novel in Korea. I think it was mentioned because the main character in that shows a really perfect and flawless idol. For real, I was really mesmerized by their vocals here when the first time I watched this. It's just my opinion and I'm not an expert in this thing, so please bare with my explanation. Like we knew Hanbin has a good vocal tone but his vocal is really flawless here. Gyuvin's vocal really suits him like his vocal describes him so much and in my opinion his vocal is so bf material:( (i'm sorry, i love him). I knew Ricky could sing, but not with this highnote... he's amazing! For Gunwook, nothing to say.. he's a real definition of all-rounder. ZB1's future will be very bright~

Jeff please watch Gunwook’s rapping segments on Wild Idol. Here you discovered he can actually SING but there he’s an amazing rapper, like genuinely people don’t understand how good he is. Breath control, clear diction, ability to change tempo and flow mid sentence, and the ability to write amazing lyrics, amazing adlibs like Gunwook is an amazing rapper as well. I want both rapper and singer Gunwook in the future. So many people don’t understand how good of a rapper he is since they only watched Boy’s Planet, but I mean it when I say that Gunwook truly has the capability to be a rapper RAPPER, not just an idol rapper (which was literally said by professional rap mentors on Wild Idol).

i think we should appreciate their vocal line more. cuz zb1 has the best vocal line among 4/5th gen boy groups so far. we have a holy skilled high tier(for kpop) vocalists as taerae and hao(they're the same level) as a main vocalists in the same group, that's insane

I am so excited for ZB1 to debut and to show off their vocal abilities. Boys Planet definitely did not allow them to show their full potential, especially Gunwook, our all-rounder king. I've been obsessed with this cover since it came out and love how their voices blend together. And I'm excited to see what cover the other five members do on the second episode.

Hi! wanted to ask if there is anytime where you would react to „the wild idol“? In the first 2 ep, Gunwook was only on the screen for like 1-2min, but after he showed his rap on ep3, he got much more screentime. It really is a fun show, so much different than any other survival shows. You will be shocked with how talented Gunwook is, as the show really showcased his talent so much better than boys planet. ps. Na Kamden was also on the show too! I would really appreciate if you can react to it, you won‘t be dissapointed for sure😖🫶🏻
