Episode 6!!!! OMG

Jade

Another weird subbing issue when they say synchronised dance they're actually talking about "sharp like knife group dance" its meant to be like "another level" above synchronised like that x1000. Seventeen is known for/ popular for being called this type of dance group

nghn

I'm so hype for ep6 lol. Bet u gonna love it too

Jade

Gotta be real the first time i watched this episode i got to the girl group segment where they all didn't want it.... and literally said out loud "this is why i like boys planet more"... i literally stopped watching the episode there its so minor but it was such a massive turn off

Lynossa

To be fair they probably don’t want it because some girl group songs can be very difficult (i.e. high notes) but yeah, seeing the guys at boys planet excited when they get gg songs is so fun

David

Completely agree on the Interim Assessments getting old. I see no benefit whatsoever in putting them down like that. I find it crazy that they expected them to be fully synchronised and have learnt everything in one day (which probably translates to a max of what? 15/16 actual hours of practice?). I'm sure there are tight turnarounds when they are learning a choreography for a new song outside of the survival show as well, but there is no way that it's anything as extreme as that.

Deiseree

I can't wait for the performances. Also, I'm the same. I have weird marker's for each groups since I'm still not familiar with all of them lol

jeffavenue

ohh lol. ya i checked but viu doesn’t have peak time 😭 was stuck with viki

jeffavenue

from all the behinds i’ve seen, usually the prep time for learning choreography for comebacks is a month. probably not everyday but it’s definitely more than 1 day. the shortest i’ve seen was 2-3 days but it was only taeyong and not the whole group cause he was really busy that time. so whatever they’re doing here is really just for drama 🥺

jeffavenue

haha it’s harder when it’s numbers/time for me. i see numbers and my mind repels it (i didn’t do well in math 😂)

Re: Hit, I had so many of the the same thoughts to be honest. Though it may be related to SVT being an ult group for me. The moves were there but it just seemed to lack the same impact and sharpness that it has when SVT does it. It bothered me a bit in the whole group choreo and then (unsurprisingly I think) really pulled me out of it 1. During that first charge forward that originally Hoshi leads (I don’t think I’ve seen anyone do that with the smoothness yet power he has for it). 2. During that set of pair choreos in the middle where it originally went Hao/Jeonghan to Jeonghan/Seungkwan to Seungkwan/Dino (and I think this could have been partly due to those jackets) but it just felt soft and like a lot of those movements weren’t finished/sharp/clean (idk exactly how to describe it) to me. I also know though (and I’ve heard you say it watching BTS performances too) that because I’ve seen this performance by SVT SO MUCH, I know all the details probably too well so it’s going to stand out to me more than a song I’m less familiar with. Long story short, with you on liking Growl better than this one.

Ahh you mentioned Dancing High! One of the DKB members, Junseo (the powerful blonde guy), was actually in it and was a member of the Just Jerk team :) Since they won the whole crew actually went to LA for dance workshops and stuff. I was hoping for a little interaction with Gikwang but I guess they can't really do that since *anonymity* is one of the points of the show. Oh and about the interim assessments, the judges DEFINITELY know the teams weren't given sufficient time to practice and show clean-cut performances. But surprise surprise, programs LOVE drama so ofc they'd sprinkle a little bit of humiliation and tears. I don't know why they still have this segment on these shows because clearly, the viewers aren't really fond of it. It just stresses out the participants and the judges just get.. judged lmao.

Star Galaxy

BTW each dance unit was given a choreography for a certain part of the song! And then they're also given a segment where they have to come up with the choreography themselves :) I believe Ryu D choreographed for Unit C's team. I guess for the interim assessment the judges were just looking at how well they were able to learn the given choreo (but still... a day is not enough)

Here come my comment : 15:00 VS 7:00 I don't have much to say about both teams, I just agree with 15:00 winning. Honestly, they did justice to the song so I'm glad since I was a little bit afraid. Definitely some "emotion" were missing for both but I felt more touched by 15:00 singing 12:30 then team 7:00 singing YOU ARE (one of my fav song from GOT7) I don't mind them being in the emotional category but I wish they would have maybe put a duo against duo? More than a 4 members teams against a 2 members teams I agree with the team doing HIT winning, I liked both performance but you definitely could see the team doing ON losing energy and it was less clean at some point. I loved the team who did HIT i wasnt just not fond of the break dance (I always have hard time with those hard hitting dance break it's just me) 8:00 VS 2:00 A lot to unpack Here, I would have choose 2:00 Maybe it's because I know "BANG" and it's one of my favorite song so I'm hard on it but I don't think I liked the arrangements. Some part were really good, example the vocal at the start or the "T.R.Y. Do it now. Can you follow me? Yes, uh-ha. T.R.Y. Pick it up. You’ll never catch me, oh no" (that come from the original) but that's it for me. Others part were too overwhelmin/even agressive and it's feel like just what a 4th gen bgs would perform. Honestly, I expected DKB to do something like that but I wish they would have finally stepped out of their comfort song because they always tend to do this type of things with girlsgroups songs (making it hard hitting, what a boysgroup will do) As much as I can understand it might not be their thing, it's a shame. 2:00, I liked the fact they rearranged the song but you still feel the original one behind, also you have this boysgroup feeling but also the girlsgroup one (I don't know how I can express this) I was actually scared about them changing the lyrics, at first it felt weird but after it's okay and I don't mind them changing the lyrics. What I really appreciate, it's the fact they didnt just change the lyrics "Bring the boys out" to "Bring the girls out" like others tend to do. It's way more original the way they did. I felt like this performance had a way better balance of rap/dance and vocal, very stable. SECOND MISSION : I'm actually glad team 11:00 switched some groups especially team 21:00 in UNIT B (even if the reason isn't it) but I feel like 21:00 will gain a lot from that which is good. DKB and the others teams are really good so they will gain experience from them. The thing is, at least I'm glad PEAK TIME doesn't hide from the viewers that they only have one day before they go to the interim, it's not like MNET who just doesn't say shit and end up totally setting up the trainees for real. I feel like the judges knew about the training period? Because Ryu D mentionned the fact he knew "they were in rush", I think. Also, in my opinion, Ryu D critiscim were ok, I don't think he was that harsh but Jay Park? With the leader commentary and him laughing while watching (I don't think it's professionnal), yeah it's bothered me, it wasn't necessary of him. I'm actually not a fan of him from the start but what happen here doesn't help. You were talking about making choreography, I think they didn't make the choreography at least here. I think they learned the choreography made by Auspicious Crew but they have to create one part after if i'm not wrong? But still it doesnt change the fact that learning in one day isn't for everyone and trying to have the synchronisation between different teams isn't easy neither . Jongup might be a good dancer but he is still a slow learner, we could see that also during AIKI SHOW where Taehyun (Mbitious), Yuto (ONF) and him had to learn a choreo in a few minutes but it was harder from him. Yes Jongup is a dancer, he was a B-BOY dancer but his vocal are really good too. You will see UNIT C dance team will do well, right now their performance is one of the most viewed video from PEAK TIME and the singer from the song they are dancing to also commented on the video. For UNIT C vocal, honestly it's normal they don't get it right now, if you know the song? You can definitely get why it isn't good from the start. I mean it's BTOB, their songs aren't that easy. This song is hard especially when it's come to the harmonies UNIT C Rap, I'm glad it's not MNET behind PEAK TIME because they would have had a field day with the Heedo x Hyunjae helppp, they would have put a dramatic music, Heedo villain or shit like this. However I'm glad, I don't see a lot of cut (editing) and just a peacefull talk even when Heedo and Hyunjae are "arguing", it's fine and you understand it's not that bad, it's thing that can happen while working with a group. (different opinion) Still I know some people didn't like Heedo move but I understand him, yes he could have said it a different way but you know sometime you do things before thinking how to do it the right way, so that was ok with me. Also I'm glad he still apologized when he did cut Hyunjae off. Just to warn, you won't see Hyunjae after the 2ND MISSION, Team 24:00 will end up at 4 members because a bullying scandal surfaced and seem like the differents person didn't have the same testament so Hyunjae decided to leave to not affect the team and the production since it would take a while to get the truth behind everything It's so funny when you saw PH-1 here, man didn't have enough screentime with MNET so he joined PEAK TIME too, I feel like we see him more on PT then BP honestly 😂

Adaobi

I agree with the interim assessment being unnecessary. It feels like it's only done for some sort of "entertainment" factor. To make the impact of the actual performance bigger. So the viewer is like damn they were so bad before, look at them now. Which really doesn't make sense, since they literally just learned the song, choreo etc. at the point of the assessment.

apple crumble

jongup is originally a dancer and a bboy. in the past years he hasn’t really had the chance to dance that much and the previous rounds didn’t show off his skills that clearly. but the fact that you thought he was a vocalist just shows how much his voice improved. i’m so proud of him :(

jinkichimchim

I just love watching your reactions 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🙈

Irieezy.

Yeah they set them up man. I love jay park but to hear him laughing was messed up. Can't defend him on that. They played that drama up and then immediately played a snippet of their performance when they got a standing ovation for ratings. Smh. But the next 2 episodes are insanely good! All these teams have so much talent. Can't wait for next week

jeffavenue

ah yes i did recognize him but i thought from the unit instead 😂 ooopsies. omggg they know it’s only a day?? i can’t. its even worse that they have 2 segments (1 to choreograph and 1 to make choreography). like really? no one can ever do that perfectly within that period💀

Estherlynn Lubin

I just gotta say Team C dance unit performance live in my head rent free! I can’t even count how many time I watched it. I can’t wait for you to see it. My fav so far in this show.

Jade

For the last unit rap portion they definitely said that the other 4 (minus Heedo the one that said to talk about yourself) were cramming stuff in but Heedo didn't do that and the other guy said "all five of us" so i think thats why he told him off

Jade

I mean they're gonna change the key anyway so not really

Allina Khan

Soooo excited for ep 6.. thanks for reacting!

FlowerPower

JEFF DON'T READ THIS! can someone tell me the name of the "Bring the boys out" team?
