JongUp was so good! I'm happy he hasn't quit being an idol. His group was so famous back then but their company was the literal worst. No other company comes close to being the shittiest kpop company, it's not even an exaggeration. Even now, knetz still talk about them and get sad about what happened to them. Hoping you could check them out once this is done!

Agree!! B.A.P was already so famous but they could have been bigger if only they have better company! I still get sad whenever I remember what happened to them. They were also like one of the biggest rival of EXO. and both groups were my ults at that time. But right now only EXO was left being active. I really do hope we get to see B.A.P again. They deserve a another chance! 🥺

Just a cute little fun fact that I find really wholesome: The 20:00 Team actually performed song covers in the language of the country they performed in during their world tour, so if they for example performed in Germany they sang a German artists song in German! That’s just really fascinating to me because that is so much effort and so difficult as well! :)

omg i was a huuuuuge fan of bap (you guessed it so it's not a spoiler i hope) when i first got into kpop!! kind of sad to see jongup having to go on these kinds of shows but i'm glad he hasn't given up on being an idol and it's nice to see him performing again :') and yes bap was pretty successful and their songs did relatively well but their company was just ass....... still hoping for a reunion tho :(

Group 20 (the duo that did JYP's Fever) is actually under the same company as Boys Planet's Jay. They've also done covers together which were really good and Roda (the rapper) produced and featured on one of Jay's original songs (It's such a good song, but I'm not gonna post any links since it's on Bitseaon and Roda's official group channel and you don't wanna know which group it is yet though) 😊❤

Seeing Jong Up on Peak Time I actually started crying because his group was (and still is) one of my all time favourite groups and I really want him to have another shot. He's so talented and I just really wanna see him succeed. It still infuriates me how much B.A.P were fucked over by their company. They were so incredibly good, they didn't deserve all the shit TS put them through. I'm happy to see the members are still really close though.

B.A.P was huge at the time and they were so so good i didnt stan them but i really love their music and their style in general and still angries me how their company was literally the shittiest of them all and did them so poorly because they had everything to be even bigger. Also Heedo and Byungjoo (or b-joo) that were as soloist were also on The Unit and they both made it to the final episode

just to give more context about bap, they weren't JUST famous, they were pioneers. hip hop/ concepts always existed, but back then hip hop groups barely focused on synchronized choreography. bap were the first rap-heavy group to also have intense choreo, large-scale, epic sounding music, and they made that concept and music popular. it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say they birthed early bts, monsta x, stray kids, ateez, etc., and i say this as an exo-l who used to fight bap fans all the time LMAO. it's just a shame that they were under such a horrible company.

I really love team 20 they went also on mixnine and were mocked for coming from a small agency in the countryside with little financial resources. Guess what?! It was one of the best auditions of the show. Like someone said before they are from the same agency as Jay. I think the CEO knows how to pick talents !

I also REALLY REALLY like the concept of this show, I think it's so fresh and they even added elements of other survival shows such as Produce with their ✨twist✨. Just to let you know though, the editing is really fast-paced (which I like but some don't) so for the next episode they're not even showing or announcing explicitly who passed from the on-hold groups or who made it to the 24:00 Team. The montage at end of this episode of the groups and the soloists who made it is the only thing we're getting lol

So here come my big ass comment (as always, I think you get used to it at some point 😂) : TEAM 2:00 Big deal because they did NO MERCY by B.A.P so one of my ultime group. I'm so used to the original one, I'm harder on the performance. I feel like because I like the original so much, I didn't know how to feel about their performance at first. The first time I watched I wasn't sure if I liked or not. They definitely have the skill for sure, it's a big thing to add your own rap, do the arrangement etc. The more I heard it, the more I think it's actually really good but in a way some part of the arrangement felt empty for me? The vocal part I loved them so much but didnt know if it mixed that well with the rap at the start? Still they did a great job, not a lot of people have gut to cover B.A.P. TEAM 18:00 Not much to say because I agree with the energy part. Honestly their music is so good, I wish their agency was doing their job, it's mostly because of them they are like that in my opinion. They started good but the agency didn't follow and take the good opportunities. TEAM 7:00 Their performance on HELLO is so good, they released some of the cover on Spotify and I can't stop listening this one and the FEVER performance. About members leaving, I remember back then a scandal broke out, one of the member (newly added) revealed with proof of his injuries that another member attacked him (he was a formed member). They had several conflict and both ended up leaving. Some others left for different reasons. TEAM 1:00 I understand why they cut this performance short, it was okay but not extraordinary TEAM 9:00 I understand why they were cut too, just wanted to mention that the member with the long hair, I learned his brother is Jiho from NINE.i who was in BOYS PLANET but got eliminated (the only one in K-GROUP AJU NICE to be eliminated) TEAM 4:00 For this one, I wish they showed more! I knew I could trust Tiffany! They are one of the team I'm rooting for. Actually, they highlighted them as rookies but 4 members already debuted in 2017, only June who said he wore in-ear headphone for the first time is really a rookie . Hamin (the second who sang and mostly in the center) was in WILD IDOL with Na Kadem and Gunwook from BOYS PLANET too. Taeseon (in the INDIVIDUAL CATEGORY who sang BABY by ASTRO) was actually their leader in their old group. Jongup was their senior too. This is where my long monologue start because I give the backgroup history of their old group : TW // CHILD ABUSE Taeseon with another member filed a lawsuit against the agency for child abuse, assault and extortion. Several evidences such as messages, pictures were revealed. - Their dorm living condition were terrible The apartment was too small for 10 members + their belongings + regular home equipments. They lived cramped up next to clutters of clothes with barely any space left. 8 members lived in the two rooms on the 1st floor, and two others lived in an room on the 2nd floor which was like a storage room with a low ceiling, where you can't stand straight, not heated well Also it was falling apart due to old age and poor maintenance Their electricity and water was frequently cut off due to unpaid bill by the agency (it was common, another idol SLEEPY had the same problem) One time, their boiler was shut off, 4 or 5 of their members caught flu and they had to go wash and sleep in a sauna, all of this meanwhile they were still promoting. They also had to pay for hospital themselve. Taeseon had to remind them to pay for electricity otherwise they wouldn't have done it. Unpaid bill weren't the only problem, many of the lighting at their dorms rewent out frequently. For example, their laundry room and kitchen’s lights broke down, and others broke down after and the company keep forgetting to do something about it. They had two bathrooms in their dorm, each with one toilet. When one of the toilets broke down, the 10 members all had to share one toilet. But even the last toilet eventually broke down as well. It's one of the member mom who had to call a plumber because the agency didn't do shit. It's happened on several occassion. It's literally their moms who had to fix the dorm because at some point, it wasn't just the toilet, the agency refused to fix up the dorm’s water dispenser and air conditioning systems even in the midst of the hottest summer. Since it's became a health issue, the mothers couldn't stand and do nothing. They had to fix the appliances and use their own personal funds to help their kids to live in a dorm with a proper AC and clean water supply. - The members were verbally and physically abused by the agency Taeseon showed a chat where he was verbally abused by one of the management staff for starting a live broadcast. They were cursing at him Also some staff were allegedly getting drunk at the agency and cursing out the members. One member, who was underage at the time also claimed that one of the management staff members asked him to go with him to a room salon. (adult entertainment business, you get what I mean) They also released pictures where the members were physically assaulted by the staff members. The other member who sued with Taeseon revealed that he was once hit with a metal chair and was severely bruised on his body. - The members were used as Free laborers For TS Executive’s Hobby There are photos of the members and the dance team having to organize, post, package, and sell the executive’s Air Jordans online - They were under a slave contract The company had 90% of the profits while each of the members only had 1% TEAM 23:00 A lot of TVXQ fans praised them, saying it was the best cover of MIROTIC. It was one of the performance that made numbers in Korea (with the team who covered SEVENTEEN last episode and Jongup). They suited the performance a lot, I love the fact they did the adlibs. You liked Karam, I remember back then people often said he looked like Jaejoong (ex member of TVXQ), his tone definitely suit MIROTIC the most. I heard he played in a BL last years. BTL Since their name was revealed. Honestly, their performance, wasn't perfect but it wasn't that bad neither, when I heard the song they were doing I was worried but it was okay. Still I understand why they were eliminated, BEFORE THE DAWN is a bold choice, first because Sunggyu is here (he is an INFINITE member, Hoya's old group) also BTD is just hard to do, it's like shooting yourself in the foot before starting. I do think they should have choose another song but they didn't do as bad as I feared. TEAM 20:00 A team I'm rooting for, it's one of the group I really love. Jay from BOYS PLANET is in their agency by the way. They went to the survival show MIXNINE in 2017 and made quite an impression (i remember them being mocked) because they were trained in a sort of province (if i remember it's because the CEO cared for their health or something, their CEO is so kind). I knew them from even before. I remember when we were playing games during IG LIVE. They are soo sweet and this trio definitely know what they are good at and also you see the experience they have on stage. My friend was a staff for their concert in Poland and she had such a great time with them. Also I would said, they are know internationally but not that much either but yeah there are often difference, you can be popular in korea but not internationally and the opposite. ONF is a good example, a lot of international fans tend to call them nugus when their korean fanbase is actually quite big compared to some others groups they know. 1 MEMBER TEAM You actually know : HEEDO (did backdoor) and Kim Byungjoo (did 4WALL), both of them were in THE UNIT, Heedo was one of the best rapper when they did a battle, BJOO looked really young back then with curly hair so I'm not surprised you don't remember him. Both of them were in the team who covered BOOM BOOM with FEELDOG. Kim HyunJae (did MANIAC) is accused of bullying right now, we happen to know this week or last week. I already talked about Taeseon, GON I know his group because one of their song is on my repeat playlist and I don't know the others people unfortunately. Moon Jongup Like the comment said they were pioneers and some groups that we have now tend to be influenced by what they did. I know for example, that B.A.P fans tend to like what ATEEZ do. To even give you another idea, Yell (YGX) wanted to learn breakdancing thank to Jongup (he do B-BOY, less now but he still got some moves) after seeing B.A.P debut, she is a huge fan even celebrating their anniversary by doing a choreography on one of their song. A lot of knetz still talk about B.A.P. Also Bang Yongguk, B.A.P's leader is one of those idols who fought to have creative freedom, he fought to be able to produce and write for his team (by the way, he is the one who did JUSTB debut song DAMAGE and also their bside GET AWAY). Back in the day, when we were talking about deep voice, he was always the one we will talk about. B.A.P were hugeee, they even shut down Time Square when they went to MTV Studio. Their songs had often social message, criticism about the industry/government, touched mental health. B.A.P mostly fell in popularity during their break bc they were in lawsuit against their agency, since at that time, a lot of groups were debuting. If they didn't had such a shitty company I don't think it would have happen (if you want to know how shitty the agency is, I talked about TEAM 4:00 and imagine that almost all theirs idols sued them. Search TS ENT and worse company on Youtube i'm sure you will find ton of videos in 2 part explaining why they are the worse) Honestly i'm sad to see him here. I wish people will tune in what B.A.P do as soloist and not just saying they miss B.A.P. I get a lot of people want to see B.A.P together but the members also expressed the need to see their solo career being a success, I feel like they also want to show their own color. What they are doing as soloist is so good, it's a shame people to go further. Also Jongup did so good, covering a SEVENTEEN song alone is something. Imagine the fact when he debuted he didn't have much line. -------------- They dont tell you who is eliminated so I will : - IN2IT (the Team who did FEVER by ENHYPEN and I did a monologue about them last time).Also they announced on radio, that they will rebrand themselve (so I think their group name too) - AIMERS - JWIIVER - KINGDOM - BTL - DAYDREAM - ROMEO - WAO The one on hold who passed next round : - TEAM 1:00 (who were on this episode, did WANNA ONE) - TEAM 4:00 (the one who did REPLAY by SHINEE) - TEAM 21:00 (who did BTS) - TEAM 9:00 (who did NCT DREAM this episode) - TEAM 14:00 (who did GOT7 last ep and you loved one member, here you said he had his camera) - TEAM 18:00 (who did EXO CBX) I'm not sure if I missed others

Oh my god I have so many things to say about this As everyone said BAP were really famous I remember them debuting almost as the same time as EXO and everyone was choosing there favorite for me it was BAP but the agency ruined it for them. I'm also really happy to see byungjoo the solo one who did 4walls because he is from one of my favourite group. But there is another group that was failed by there company it's the mirotic's one. They were never well known but still had a notoriety for being amazing vocalists (the main vocal isn't there) but the CEO did really dark thing with the trainees and the artists and ended in jail so the group disbanded. Also about the kpop artists not being popular in korea it's because most of the time they don't like the sound that most foreigner like. "Noisy" music is not there thing. So for exemple stray kids are not popular and BTS became famous in america and that made them famous in korea. If you watch the korean chart you mostly have ballads or hip hop.

I actually went to Korea last 2019 and I can hear X1's music everywhere. For the two weeks that I am there, i can hear Flash, Move and U Got It in Buses, Trains and even in the radio played by the taxi driver.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but 2 guys in the solo round - Heedo (the good looking rapper who you said had a better singing voice) and B-joo (second last to go) were both on the unit! Pretty sure they made it to the end as well. Just a heads up for the next ep, they dont really go over who they picked for the project group nor which one of the hold groups made it.. so you just find out as you watch

love ur reaction. I love this show more and more. I feel like they focus on the emotion, passion of idols dream in a professional way more than building dramas to get view. I love both 2-people team of this episode, they're so good.

I love HELLO by NUEST. They really have some of the classic songs. Just sad they disbanded. It was funny that the youngest member team performed boomerang by wannaone. Both groups where MINHYUN was a part of.
