they have so many songs lying around and I don't think they submit all of them for albums tbh, because they usually talk as if when they are still looking for a bside they go through the many demos they keep. I hope one day you react to one of their album intros because they tend to mention when they made certain songs or why they chose them! Maybe for the next comeback ^^ Han for example chose Run from the demos he had and even though he could have re-recorded it he mentioned deciding to keep it as it was because the Han today doesn't feel that way anymore, so he wouldn't portray the emotions in the same way.

About Deep End, it's amazing to see Felix's growth when it comes to vocals. He has talked about being insecure about it (somewhere around 2020, I'd say) and slowly we got to see more and more of his range. We even had some of his falceto on Taste, but I have a feeling Deep End is going to mark a before and after for him as a singer. I'm beyond proud of him! Also about them maybe performing it live... I have this tiny hope it might happen because Hot Sauce, the producer Lee Know worked with for his song mentioned they decided to make it half a tone lower than it was originally, thinking about him being able to sing it more comfortably live. So... who knows 🤭

legend has it 'I got it' got released when it did as a diss to MAMA, it's full of play on words and stuff that gets lost in translation but I feel like Han's delivery makes up for it

Thanks for reacting to the whole album! I was just waiting for your reaction to Drive :D! The Records and Players just started as a gift for Stay and a way for the boys to develop their skills more. I'm not sure they started out with the idea of eventually creating an album, but Stay always asked for these songs to be on a music platform, like Spotify. So, as another gift, they gave us this album. The new 8 solo songs were a way for every member to be involved in song writing. Their involvement in their music really sets them apart. The fact that Chan is credited on 21 of the 25 songs, and did the majority of the tracks is insane. No one does it like them. I couldn't be more proud. And, if you ever want a Stay friend to help you with information about SKZ, just let me know, I am happy to talk about them for hours.

fun fact: the first song that chan ever wrote at jyp as a trainee was up all night and it was only released 5 years later… see y'all in 2027 for the songs chan wrote this year to be released 🫡 also to answer your question about div1 having the budget for skz to have high quality b-side mvs, there's a general idea that because 3racha produce everything in house, jyp don't spend much outsourcing producers/writers for songs, therefore allocate budget for music videos and other content

i love that for Han. it totally makes sense. some of these songs are very appropriate in a certain moment but people grow out of those emotions and just wouldn’t be relatable to them anymore. i agree!

felix has amazing colors in his voice that i think just needed to be honed. with their busy schedules and the lines he get, there’s not much time to develop it. glad he’s getting more opportunities! as with anything, the more he practices, he will just go higher from here :)

The reason that there are so many Han songs with the same vibe is because the track list for side B is in chronological order - Zone came out first, ice.cream last. There was a period in 2021 where Han released Alien, Wish You Back, and Happy very close together, so that’s why! Also thanks for keeping me entertained through my 6-hour car journey :)
