Oh my goodness. I thought I was the only who wasn't that impressed with Bank II mega crew. It was nostalgic for sure, but yeah, compared to WDBZ, it's a different standard imho. And agree about the three directors rule. In the end it really didn't make sense and what's the point when the leader could just redirect what the actual director wanted. Mnet is really just messing around with the rules in SMF and trying out things to create more drama instead of quality dancing production.

I wish they didn't put this directors rules, I loved the fact that in SWF, they had freedom to do what they wanted I actually really liked BANK 2 BROTHER mega crew, maybe because i like the layback style? Or at least I don't mind it even for competition setting. It wasn't the best/my favorite and I wouldn't have put it second (if we only take the judges score) but i don't mind. My favorite was definitely JUST JERK. In my opinion, I thought there was a big wall between their performance and the others. They didn't have one thing i disliked in their performance. I was completely blew up by how sharp they were when I first watched the video. They had a concept with the marine uniform, they translated it well with their movements / formations / dances and dyed their hair blue to refer to the sea. Also, I liked the fact that they colored their hair, because it helped me t recognize JUST JERK members easily. One of the points that I criticized a lot in the other performances because I had difficulty recognizing the members of the crews in some MEGA CREW where they didn't stand out much. I don't think I can rank the others performances honestly, I just know I loved JUST JERK so much. Still, I think WDBZ scores shouldn't have been this low (the judges one) and a lot of people agree with this, they did pretty good. (Just wanted to point out that WDBZ actually had an idol in their MEGA CREW, Zelo who was member of B.A.P, he participated just as a dancer in this) I don't mind YGX elimination because I wasn't that much into them I guess? and their MEGA CREW didn't WOW me much still, they did great in the competition, it's always hurt to see them like this at the end

I think with B2B, it felt more like a tribute to old hip hop, not like a presentation for a competition. And I think that's why everyone liked it, I think they felt the connection that the group have with hip hop culture, I would even say it was a little touching on a subconscious level. I personally enjoyed it, but it’s definitely a non competitive performance.

Another out of context fact: WDBZ’s Kamel and WayB’s Noze used to date, I think that’s why nino, on the previous episode, went directly to Kamel dancing Hey Mama

I'm pretty sure that the Kwon twins aren't touring with blackpink right now, they watched their concert but i think they're busy with solo/SMF work :)

i’m glad i’m not the only that was a little underwhelmed 😂 but i get why some people will like it. ya the director aspect didn’t need to be there. it was fine swf. it would’ve been fine here too

I honestly didnt get B2B's high score either. I remember they ranked lachica very low in SWF for their mega crew perf because it felt more like a "hommage" to Beyonce but B2B did an hommage too this time. It felt to me more like maybe they got critiziced by their 35 point scoring of B2B the previous mission and people are saying they are ignorant of that genre so they decided on be onboard the B2B train and push thek higher 🙄

Hey Jeff! B2B's performance here didn't work for me either... I guess the judges are mostly into old school hip-hop (like many in Korea), so that's probably why they gave such a score out of the excitement they felt because of that. Some might say that simple is best, but I feel like in this context it doesn't really take advantage of the type of mission, or at least it didn't resonate for me, so it was my least favorite. Personally, before voting, I waited one night 😂😂 I watched all the performances, went to sleep and then decided to give my like to the ones that I felt like re-watching the most the next morning, which were Just Jerk's, We Dem Boyz's and Eoddae's. I appreciated JJ's imagery and synchronization, WDB's freshness and creativity, and Eoddae's unique color and composition. I also liked 1MILLION, when the judges suddenly talked about comic factor to me it felt like they were searching for one thing that they could say it lacked because it was otherwise perfect 😝 I hope it's just because of screen-time that they added that note, and that they didn't actually give them less points for that, but for real when they make those comments they kinda make it sound like they don't have precise and equal criteria while evaluating the performances 😅 For WDB's judge score, I did like Ingyoo's part the best too for its creativity, but I still feel like Vata did a very good job too coordinating all the dancers in precise formations, and it also had fresh elements, like the part where they use their abs to crunch on beat 😁 so it's a pity that his score was so low, I don't think his directing was the worst. Btw, since you were wondering about BLACK.Q's stage name 🖤💛 Basically, it comes from when he was active in another waacking crew, because he was "the darkest one out of the members" (I'm pretty sure they meant skin tone-wise 😶) and he also "mostly wore black clothes" (for obvious reasons I like this part of the explanation better).... so they started to call him Black Hoo (his full name is Kim Young Hoo and many simply call him "Hoo")... gradually it became Black Q since the pronunciation is similar when said fast and also because 뀨 sounds cute, then it got stylized as BLACK.Q, with the periodt 😊 Many dancers' names are decided "naturally" based on nicknames they get in the dance community apparently 😆 And PS I am team Hype Boy too 🤣
