Here comes the 5-round battles! Also, first elimination! Did the right group go home??

Reminder that I did a collab with Mnet on the K-Dance Battle and have reacted to the performances already. If you have not watched it yet, you can find it here.

Indeed a lot of people were disappointed with the results... For me, B2B definitely won in the duo battle and the last one, in the other rounds PK did overall slightly better, for sure in the leader round the level difference was quite clear to me, so I was very surprised about the decision of the re-match! And I don't think that the performance registered that differently irl, because you could see how B2B was overjoyed when the judges said they wanted a rematch! They were really expecting to lose that round. This is my personal theory, but I feel like the judges decided to go with JRoc to keep the show going, not expecting especially B2B's rookie Gof to do that well in the last round. Even the reasoning they gave, like that they were glad that B2B was suddenly showing a better side than before, is kinda telling about the expectations they had... Btw personally I really disliked the fact that they did the rematch as single performances and not the two of them dancing together, maybe I'm too fixated with rules idk 😅 but I think that even tho it's a show, it's also a competition and it was an elimination battle too, so imho the rules should stay the same for everyone, not applied or neglected based on the hype of the moment... so I was still shocked for the rematch thing, when the judge said that I was like "whaaaat" 😂 Since I was very baffled about the results and the judges' carelessness in "following the protocol" I went under the vids to see what people were thinking, and it turns out they were feeling even more strongly about that 😅 For many this battle was like the ultimate proof of the stupidity of having idol judges, there were many comments about that. Especially BoA was criticized heavily, even under her Instagram post, but personally I haven't seen curses or other things that were too harsh, just things like "why on Earth did that need a rematch" or "do you really think you have the right qualifications to do this job?" ... I also read some Korean articles that talked about that kind of criticism from netizens and apparently some said to please never come on the show again, but nothing else was mentioned. These are all things from Koreans tho, Idk about the reactions from the international viewers. It's interesting how BoA was the one getting the criticism, but I guess that it's because there was already a general suspicion that the other 2 often get influenced by her opinion... one comment I saw said "It's uncomfortable how you always talk to the other judges before the Card Open"... which is a fair observation I guess, they shouldn't have an exchange before that. Also, many noticed her contradicting herself a lot while giving her reasonings (like her deciding on wow factors and tricks/technical aspects one time but basing her decision on vibe or other things on other occasions). Plus, they HATED her multiple comments "I was scared - I thought he was gonna hit me" soooo much... a lot were commenting that it shows for the second time that she's totally ignorant about krump (where it does happen that they jump on judges' tables) and that she has no qualifications to be there... in general, she's getting criticized for her comments like "I liked your energy" and other vague statements, especially because she's getting compared to other tv shows' judges (like Dancing9), where they gave a much more technical commentary. Let's see if the netizens' dissatisfaction about the judges will continue during the rest of the show! For me, the saddest part was how Trix blamed himself and kept on repeating that he didn't have the qualities to be a leader, that broke my heart fr! 💔 I'm glad tho that he seems to have gotten over it since he reuploaded the cut of his battle on his channel, calling it "Trix's legendary round" 😂😂 Also, he did a tutorial for the hat trick he did there and launched a challenge, which many joined, even Seventeen! I think it's by far the most similar thing to Hey Mama challenge, since it's getting traction without being pushed by Mnet 😆 ⚠UPDATE⚠: there WON'T be any episode next week, the 6th will be aired in October directly. In the meantime tho, you can always check out PK's "mega crew mission" video which was uploaded to cheer up the fans who wanted to see their performance on the show. I loved how it was heavily praised and promoted by the other crews as well, esp JJ and EOTTAE + Kwon twins 😆 On IG I'm getting all the camaraderie Mnet is so unwilling to show 😝 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MI5-JCuh0IU
