I read somewhere that in the webtoon soohyun was in love with jun but it was one-sided, so then jun's brother is actually the one that ends up with soohyun if I'm not mistaken

I think the logic is that since they had no other option, the brother rejected Joon at a young age and put himself in between the father and Joon. That's why he also never wanted Joon to go home, because he can't protect him and he knows Joon will just get hit. The brother has a position in the dad's company but I think by the time that the brother was financially emancipated that's when he should have reconciled with Joon which would fix their relationship and deter Joon from returning to the parents, as Joon always sought to have his family even though they were toxic.
