the whole thing about the song choice was that they could pick either their members or the song first. Taki chose to pick his members first while k and jungwon chose songs so that they wouldn't be stuck with fake love. thats why heeseung and others said that Taki wasn't very strategic in choosing.

cyd

yep they do have individual fancams! here's heeseung's for fake love (granted the camera is still a little too zoomed in for my liking but still): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saLWIGhcQKk&ab_channel=MnetK-POP

jeff! i missed you even tho i follow you on twitter & saw your tweets i still missed you lol. but omg i was so excited for you to watch not only fake love’s performance but also heeseung’s like his performance just blew my mind & was so gorgeous! this was one of the two performances that i was most excited for you to watch on part two so now im excited for the rest of the episodes as well!

Dan

This episode proved that Jungwon is the best leader for enhypen, at least for me!

Sandy Cai

I think the reason why Niki's ad lib was mentioned a lot in this episode because he kept doing it, even after K spoke to him about it.

wooyo

https://youtu.be/saLWIGhcQKk here's a link of heeseung fancam ♥ obsessed with fake love heeseung. despite the "ace" title that was branded on him since the beginning and with the overwhelming pressure he proved himself again and again. his mentality and discipline is crazy.

Iris Lee

can't wait till u react to next episode! ;) thx for great video

Anonymous

they deadass did not allow geonu back inside after he was eliminated TT. they had to let the rest of i-land come outside to say goodbye

The part with K and Niki is kinda funny once you know they argued in japanese so hanbin and jay won't understand them, but it turns out jay actually knows japanese and was just sitting there like....

serenity

In regards to your question about Jpop acts debuting in Korea, there was a Japanese soloist named Ruann who debuted in Korea with her song called BEEP BEEP! Also I think Niziu (under JYP) might debut in Korea someday but I'm not entirely sure as I've seen some Niziu fans say since the group doesn't have any Korean members it could be difficult to grasp the attention of the Korean public :///

serenity

It hurts my heart so much seeing Niki and Jay struggling in the vocal department during I-LAND but on the flip side it shows you just how hard they worked because now they can SIIIIIIIIING

Anonymous

The one thing I'm noticing while watching this again with you is that the producers always had Sunoo in mind for the debut group. His stage presence is so innate, so despite any growth he may have needed, they knew he would be a solid choice. It makes me proud to see his journey. And fake love Heeseung is one of legends!!!

serenity

Also starting in this episode you can start to see why K didn't debut, he started losing a lot of support from fans because of this moment + onwards

Anonymous

just two and a half hours of Jeff fanboying over heeseung as he should😅 that boy is something else lol

serenity

Rain won't be in the rest of the show and Zico enlisted before part 2 began!

Watching the choreographer have Ta-ki repeat it 4 times and then make him feel even worse with pounding his leadership into his skull made me cringe so hard. I teach a lot of intermediate students in my competitive sport and watching this lack of understanding how Ta-ki learns best was honestly so frustrating to watch. The teacher should have stopped after 2 failed attempts and asked him if he understood what parts were off, and then made him do those parts isolated and slower. There is literally no point at all in practicing mistakes. Practice doesn't make perfect, it makes permanent.

jeffavenue

oh ya. but i think the j-group from i land might work since i-land was very popular in korea

jeffavenue

well deserved too though cause he’s very stable vocally. and also very popular

jeffavenue

EXACTLY. he might be a great choreographer but teaching-wise ooof. everyone learns differently and if you want better results, you need to know how to relay your education better. like this would’ve probably made me cry if i was in ta-kis position.

jeffavenue

ohhh that makes sense. although picking his members first did save him too. low key strategic

Talking about drama injections you need to watch next episode for me it’s the climax. Waiting for your review

Episode 9 and 10 are golden, they are one of my favourites!

i knew you would understand k's point of view because you're a performer! i am also like this as a leader. we have to be honest and assertive. it’s crazy how many fans turned on him just for this. i’ve never seen a fandom so split before when it doesn’t have to be. him and niki's actions were justified. and finally since you bring it up, i also do think they create scenario to nitpick even when it’s fine already just to fit a narrative for the show or justify their choices later down the line. AND i forgot how hanbin became the light and mediator to the 12 ilanders. he's really a genuine guy. ;;-;; also no matter how everyone keeps on justifying why k was not on the line up, i still believe he should've have been there, he DESERVED to be there. him and heeseung were the only two people i don't have any questions with in making it. imagine always giving in performances... just to be not picked bc of a reason "his aura would clash to *insert specific member* according to fans??? i honestly think heesung and k would not clash at all. heeseung is not the type of talent where he would clash to someone, heck he can even stand on his own and vice versa to k. i actually believed k could've have been a strong card if he ever debuted with enhypen.... it could've been stronger with two strong base on the side. oh well... no used crying over spilled milk. the only logical reason here is that the bang pd have other plans with him... enhypen is doing so amazing rn and i'm glad others are debuting too

Sammay

K had a bad attitude with almost all the Enhypen members during I-LAND. He is good at dancing but Ni-ki is 1000 times better and K's vocals are not stable or out of this world but everyone in Enhypen have better vocals than him. That's why the producers and directors chose Sunoo instead of K because Sunoo is a very good and stable vocalist and he is kind and nice comparing to K who talks behind everyone backs, he does not respect others opinions, has bad temper and a fake leader complex that would have ruined Enhypen, their chemistry and teamwork.

Sammay

Jake was a trainee for more than 9 months, not 3 like you said. Also, Sunoo was a trainee for more than 10 months and Ni-ki for 8 months but he dances since he was 3 years old. Heeseung and Jay were trainees for more than 3 years, Sunghoon for more than 2 years and Jungwon for more than a year and a half but remember that all of those training periods were only under Belift Lab (Sunoo, Jake and Ni-ki) or BigHit (Heeseung, Jay, Sunghoon and Jungwon) because some of them already trained more years and left other companies before Belift or BigHit. Now that all of these 7 boys are in Enhypen they are under Belift Lab.

Andrea Hernandez

K was too controlling and then in the next episode when he dis the same thing to another group of people, he cried...... ni-ki is a whole 9 years younger than hm. Taki is OLDER than NI-KI, think.about that for a sec! NI-KI was treated unfairly and judged so harshly this whole time because he is so incredibly talented. but that talent didnt come overnight or easily... he has been working hard non stop since he was 3 years old..... K could have handled the situations better as the oldest of the group.

Anonymous

I don’t think you understand the amount of stress they were under. You have a group of teenage/young adult boys stuck in the same place for months while their futures are on the line every week. It’s like amping up all of your emotions to 11/10 and sticking you in a pressure cooker. Not to mention these boys formed bonds like siblings, and idk if you have any, but siblings tend to fight with each other pretty often, and with the oldest almost always having to take up the leader position and being in control, they tend to get a little out of hand. And Ni-ki cried because he took the criticism too personally, not because K was being too harsh. Like I get that Ni-ki is talented, but that doesn’t mean he can’t get any criticism from anyone, he’s still young and has a long way to go. I think the situation worked itself out just fine. They still talk and hang out with each other to this day and nobody has any hard feelings for each other. You people who talk crap about K and this situation over and over again need to find something else to talk about, cause it almost seems like you’re being offended for something you have no place being offended about.

Janine

you talking about how to reach the notes just reinforced my belief that they did these kids a disservice by not having trainers present at all times. They're trainees becaues they need to be taught these things not because they already know.

Kworldinformed

I enjoy rewatching with you. Your professional perspective adds so much. Thank you for reacting! And to see how far the Enhypen members and other trainees have come from I-Land to the present day is impressive. The producers can spot talent for sure.

Anonymous

I know Im way late but what Heesung meant is that for Ta-ki's first choice he chose a member instead of a song while the other two picked a song first so they ended up with the hardest song.

Anonymous

OK. K doomed himself these last few episodes. I firmly believe that the producers already had in mind who they wanted and the vision that they had for this group. By butting heads with several members who were ultimately chosen, he would not have been a good fit with Enhypen. Also, we can see that those who were chosen had pretty much bonded at this point.
