I started getting interested in Enhypen thanks to your videos. 💙💙💙can you react a little bit to super junior?

fruityfairytale

all of the performances in the first half of the show aren't in front of the judges - the producers are in a room and the performances are in the bottom level of the facility (the first room they had auditions in from the first episode) where the producers can watch

Anny Maria

1 st performances are also without judges

Tbh i don’t like the format of i-land in the first place I get the fact that members have to have to gel and have chemistry whoever ends up in the final line up but the whole show for me is a game of alliance because of that voting power they have. Luckily the final line up came out great and was also the one I predicted in the last quarter of the show and Enhypen is an amazing group I stan disregarding the awful format of this show in my opinion.

Malin Stalheim

I understand the logic behind wanting the i-landers with the lowest score to go to Ground, but it kind of contradicts the point of the challenge itself, which were meeting and teamwork. Had it been that way the "good" trainees would have most likely focused more on themselves and mostly bonded with each other. So there would have been much more focus on doing it well individually and thus less bonding, helping each other and getting to know each other. The ranking is there so the whole team can be assessed by an average score, based on how well they work together as a team, so it makes sense that the individual scores does not affect who leaves and stays.

I think it's easy for us as audience members to notice the complete 180 shift in personality from the reformed I-LANDers because we think the confidence shift will be that easy and that they simply want it so badly, and they do, but I think we can forget how easily that washes away the moment they step foot there. The environment is completely different from the GROUND, which is why I sympathize with their attachment to their previous environment. They bonded over hardship and elimination for an entire week, and it's kind of hard to assert yourself in a completely new place with new faces, even with fake confidence. It seems jarring at first, but on a rewatch, it just breaks my heart to see them feel so down on themselves, honestly very relatable to think we'll be at a 100% every step of the way only to realize life is harder than that :<

Also every single judge's mentalities this entire show pisses me off to no end, lol. They sincerely expect them to be at their very best BY THEMSELVES with little to no help from the actual choreographers of these pieces. Then, they grade them cold-heartedly as if they didn't spend a week busting their asses trying to make difficult choreography and stunts work WITHOUT HELP. Kindness and consideration for fairness, who? Being reasonable, who?

Also some of them were voted out(or not voted in) in ep 1/2 nd only got to I-land by judge vote. Obviously the judges are influential and respected but the grounders probably don't think they have respect of I-landers, and the i-landers also haven't seen the grounders practice or perform

It's the MV for "Drunk-Dazed" that K & EJ make an appearance in. I'm really looking forward to when they debut along with Nicholas & Ta-Ki. You can check out the lineup for HYBE Japan's Boy Group here: https://kprofiles.com/hybe-japan-boy-group-members-profile/

Last episode, the judges weren't in the room. They were in a separate for that test, also.

The location of the judges during the test hasn't changed yet.

heebindidthat

no rush on it Jeff, but really looking forward to your episode 4 reaction

lolol i totally get your frustration but keep it cool haha yeah it is frustrating when you know not even the teachers learn perfection in 3 days

i 100% agree with how they should've sent a dance trainer at least once to show how the dangerous part was supposed to go but i think the coaches got upset cause they never even tried to practise it. if jay, for example, went up to the coaches and said that they tried but didn't know to proceed so they waited till the mid-point evaluation to learn it better, rain wouldn't have been as upset as he was. same for heeseung.

I know this comment is pretty late but I agree with what you said so much. Its so annoying how judges expect perfection only 3 days after they start practicing. And in this show its even more annoying considering the fact that they learned all that WITHOUT A CHOREOGRAPHER. I've watched survial shows from No Mercy, Stray Kids, YG Treasure Box to the Produce series and it still upsets me how they're so harsh to these trainees. This was one of the biggest reasons I stopped watching survival shows. The way these trainees were treated and the way everything edited to make it more dramatic just stressed me out. And its not like real idols do this shit without any sort of support especially if they're from a company that can actually AFFORD to get said support. Look at groups like Stray Kids. They have everything from performance directors to choreographers, vocal coaches and trainers. I remember watching one the behind the stage videos where they had a coach helping them warm up before a stage. Real idols have all this support so I don't understand the point of making the trainees go through it all by themselves. That could lead to serious injuries or worse especially if they expect them do those stunts.

I agree, but it was a very good way of seeing who was the most naturally talented. Let's be honest; the more ready someone is, the less of a learning curve they have and the easier they are to train.

I can't say I agree with that though. This is a talent show, not an alliance show. If you didn't perform as well, why should you get to take the place of someone more talented?
