FUN FACT: The two guys that you liked Kim Jaehwan and Hwang Minhyun (Nu'est) were always in the same team since the beginning! HAHA ✨SOULMATES✨ 1st - Sorry Sorry Team 2nd - Downpour (Vocal) Team 3rd - Never Team and btw, Jaehwan is currently a soloist. He had released EPs, singles and few OSTs too. ☺️ Indeed a very good vocalist. 💯 (he was also in Mental Training Camp S1)

onyx.

since its getting close to finale, i wanna start telling you this so the chances of you seeing this is higher XD besides wanna one, there's another group that came out after this show, its called JBJ, it was a fan project where fans chose trainees that didn't made it into wanna one but are talented to be in a temporary group. and I absolutely love JBJ if you're doing it like The Unit, where you react to the songs after the finale, not only should you react to wanna one but JBJ as well, I feel like you'd be pleasantly surprised by JBJ

just want to add that team NEVER's Woojin (red hair) actually performed with a fever and was in pain (later diagnosed with the shingles) . it was so bad that he was hospitalized after the first recording for the show , which is why he's the only contestant without a proper focus cam on youtube (had to stitch clips from the first recording) and is missing from everyone else's focus cams . knowing this just makes his performance even more stellar !

mac

Ahhh I really hope you’ll react to Wanna One songs/variety after this!! They were actually head to head with BTS and EXO during the time they were active!

freya valykrie

Kim Jaehwan is now a soloist. I think he just released a new album this month or last month. The guy with the red hair and eye patch is Park Woojin. He was a special judge at Dancing High with Hoshi of Seventeen.

Michael Choi

Btw, when you hear age statements in Korea, you generally need to subtract 1-2 years to get their international age. So, Kim Samuel is actually 15 yrs old in this video (January birthday).

daniel's leg swoop was still so vividly in my mind and i think for me that just shows how much impact the 'open up' team had and how this was the final push daniel needed to rise to the top back then. i really hope jeff will check out at least the other mvs besides the energetic mv and the dance practice just because wanna one was such a big sensation at that time. i am really interested what he would have to say, if he can see the appeal this group had. but then again it must be a lot of work so i understand if is not going to do it like he did it with the unit. also i am on the side of the people who want a reaction to jbj because again the fact that the fans funded this group just shows how big the fanbase of produce season 2 was. on that note if jeff likes the final line up i hope he checks out wanna one's variety show(s)/appearances even if it's just in his free time without us because the synergy was just amazing... now i miss wanna one :(

Just to give you a heads-up, so far, people are told to vote for 11 people at once when they vote. But now, they're told to vote for only 2 people so you'll see a lot of changes and surprises in the next ranking announcement. Then, they will be told to only vote for 1 person for the finale. That's why from this point on people would only be able to vote for their ultimate biases and not for the people they simply would like to be in the group. Some trainees are just loved by everyone in general but are not their favorite, and vice versa. Woojin (the red hair in never) actually was very sick to the point that he was in the verge of giving up before this evaluation, but he decided not to. Which worked really well for him bc he did such a great job in the performance!! NEVER didn't win in this sadly despite the very very good performance but they charted #1 in music sites!!! And wasn't Jinyoung sooo cute in this? ;;; I got hit so hard by flashbacks watching this seeing how much of a baeby he was compared to now aww🥺 (well he still is but he has grown so much now;;;;) P.S. I think you should get your camera's battery ready for the finale bc that episode is long LONG😂

Shia

yes to reacting to not only energetic please🥺 energetic was iconic but i personally really like Light and Spring Breeze (their last song) too to name a few!! + and Beautiful!!!!!

Cindy

Park woo jin (the guy with the red hair in never) was really ill at that moment. He even considered of dropping out of the show but eventually decided to continue the show due to fans support.. that's why he used eye patch and everyone rooted for him..

Marina Korab

Oh I have this Never song on my playlist, such an amazing performance! And I hope Jeff could react to JBJ in future!

hayun lee

whenever i watch this i kinda feel bad that hui got no screentime when hes the only one in triple h that made the actual song LMFAO 😭 (edawn made the rap with wooseok and hyuna was there to help with directing)

Since produce season 2 , season 3 and x101 i believe the best concept song did not win its either 2nd or 3rd they end up. I am heavily biased to the NEVER song since I have watched it repeatedly a couple of more times i just like the song. The only thing that was going for the Open up team’s win was Kang Daniel and that Legendary Thigh grab, Baekhos vocals, and it is a better delivered performance in the choreo department as in Never’s case Guanlin if you notice very sharply made a mistake being late on the choreo on the first chorus but he quickly fixed on the second. Overall i still love the song Hui composed he could have kept it for Pentagon if he wished as their was a prototype of that song in youtube performed on a show. Oh and one more thing don’t you find it odd that the start of performance of Open up and You got it from x101 started on that slab of glass with rain or water drops on and both are sexy concepts too do you think it was done deliberately 😅. Anyways good reaction Jeff 2 more episodes to go and it gona be a loooooong Final episode.

I'm just here to scream about Jaehwan and his voice as well. I've been obsessed with how good his vocals are since Produce and over the last few years he's just become somehow even better IMO. Highly recommend his solo stuff. Also, his latest cover of Leave the Door Open is chef's kiss for sure. (Also he's a riot on variety shows, he's hilarious) Editing to add that I really like Sewoon's solo releases as well, and that he's great on variety too with his own brand of humour. I know you're checking out NCT Dream's Mental Health Camp, Jeff, but perhaps if you have time on your own you might also want to look at the first season with Jaehwan, Sewoon (the two of them are university friends btw and very close!), and Wooseok and Jinhyuk from PDX/UP10TION. I really loved that season!

vega

The choregraph of the Boyz is actually really well known and he work with a lot of other groups so I don't think he really trained the Boyz. The one you said who was better in showtime than in ballad Woojin was in a group of acoustic music after that (The east light) so it's a little funny :)

Cindy

Can you please react to their debut showcon as well after this? It's only 1 hour long. You can see the chemistry and synergy between the debuted members on stage ❤️

So the reason why Daniel had such a break out was more for his solo cam of the this performance and the people who saw him live. It's really interesting how loved Daniel is in Korea because of this show. Also, I highly recommend Triple H their music is great. They only had two MVs before Cube kicked E'Dawn and Hyuna out for dating each other. If you watch the MVs you will wonder how they didn't know. lol!

Madina Hanf

I can't accept the fact that 'Never' didn't got the first place that time cause the stage and the song was iconic. When they debuted as Wanna One they even make the Wanna One version of 'Never', but i still listening to the Nation's Son version even until now cause it's just that great. But i guess it back to the on site audience and daniel vote are really high.

LisMM

Although Never didn't win here it literally received a real time all kill #1 place on the Korean charts, peaked at #2 on the Gaon weekly and #3 on the Gaon monthly chart. Safe to say, the song won in every way it possibly could lol. Fun fact. This is also the first song that Hui wrote that ever made it out there, Energetic was the second one. Considering just how successful both those songs were I can't imagine how weird it must have felt for him, since they were literally his debut as a song producer. Also, you see Edawn doing a lot of directing and stuff here, because he was, until he left, also one of Pentagon's main producers. The guy in never who's voice you liked, Kim Jaehwan actually recently came back with his 3rd mini album "Change" and mainly writes all his own songs. Check out his interview on "Showterview with Jessie" if you ever want to have a good laugh. Her interview with Kang Daniel is great too. ;) And 100% please please please check out triple H. Their songs, MVs and fashion were always such a vibe.

Never is such an iconic song and I still listen to it now. I hope you react to their MVs and reality shows especially "Zero Base." Even though Wanna One is not active as a group anymore, it was really a fun and memorable time for all of us to see them grow and achieve their dreams. I remember crying during their last concert. I hope you can react to that too. Anyway, thanks for the great reaction as always! :)

The reason why they didn’t win isn‘t their fault. I heard that they changed the wardrobe last minute. They were originally supposed to wear something darker and sexier which would’ve fit the song a lot better. Never did a lot better in the charts and was overall just a lot more popular

Anonymous

For Concept Evaluation it’s always the sexy concept which wins, meanwhile the most popular would rank second. For S2 Sexy concept Open Up won, but the most popular song is the second place Never. In X101 U Got It won (again sexy concept) but the most popular song is Move which placed second

Please refrain from spoiling the members of Wanna One from Jeff thank you 😊

Sorry I thought that he probably already knew who made it into Wanna One since it’s been a few years since they disbanded

Estherlynn Lubin

I’m sure Cube people had an idea or at least knew but made poor decisions once the public found iut

I'm late af Haknyeon's mnet evil editing case is one of the worst things. To understand the seriousness of it just watch his individual "open up" fancam. The amount of dislikes, hate he got?? Like he was a freaking minor that time but amount of hate he got and still gets from people who just don't wanna do any search. That agenda mnet tried so hard to put in audience's heads about Hak since ep 6 I guess. Like how disgusting u must be to throw innocent trainee under a bus? Not only about Haknyeon but everyone who got evil editing during produce series. Just glad tbz beat mnet's ass. Deserved. Thanks for reaction and your comments about performances, Jeff! Never is iconic. One of the best performances from produce series. And yes it's exactly the stage where NU'EST members show that experience matters a lot.

I have a feeling many people in the company knew especially Hui and probably a manager or two. In the behind the scenes they were super cute and very obvious in retrospect. I actually think it was more that they went public against the company's wishes/ breach of contract. But the public backlash for them dating wasn't that bad. The public was already shipping them (spoilers b/c they had a full on sex scene in the first Triple H MV). And apparently they were dating for 2 years before Triple H.

Anonymous

I like all the songs, but 'I know you know' is a really nice song, I'm still listening to it on spotify, even now.

Secretninja312

Haknyeon ended up falling out of the public's favor a bit during the last mission but A LOT more after this one. Mnet showed him as this guy who was greedy for the center part even though he couldn't keep up with the group, thus bringing them down type of deal. In the last mission, they showed him being unhappy with not getting the center part, then being "lazy" when rehearsing, but in the end he was the only one in his group to survive to this round. Then here, Mnet portrayed him again, as someone who kept trying to hold on to that center spot despite not being able to keep up with the choreography and struggled with the vocals. So he unfortunately got a lot of backlash due to these 2 episodes and his ranking continued to drop.

Pinkblood Squad

I just notice Never team 6/7 member is Wanna One except Jonghyun, I didn't watch the show but back then but I knew everyone expect Jonghyun to be in the debut line-up. This team also feel the most complete now that I watch this performance again, 2nd is Open Up
