Yey!! I'M EARLY!! not gonna lie im happy kingdom is over but im going to miss the great performances and interactions.. and yes pls watch treasure box :)

Layla123

Random but I'm skimming through your reaction initially, just wanted to say 'who's that guy' when you were referring to SF9's behind-the-scenes part - the one sitting next to Taeyang - is Zuho, the main rapper. He's the one also in a crop-top for Move, and the one who did the solo part with "I want my own color like champagne, red light la la la - the male version of Venus'!!! (He's right about that) He's also participated in producing some of their tracks before :)

For me, THE BOYZ did GREAT JOB,,,, They got 2nd of final round! so proud! I also love song and performance! THEY NAILED IT THO! and JEFF may you don't know THE BOYZ released their Dance Practice Video of INTRODUCTION STAGE already. You can check out!

Anonymous

It was definitely a good ending for The Boyz and we are very happy about it. They came in Second Place. It was a close call but I am glad they grew so much from RTK to Kingdom. They all did actually and that's what matters more than the ranking. Anyway, I've been waiting for this reaction because I think you are the only valid reactors on Kingdom out there. Haha. Anyway, thank you, Jeff! You might wanna check out The Boyz' kingdom dance practices. The Intro Stage is out now. I believe the other episode will be released every week. And also IKON-ON. I will look forward on your reaction to that! ^^

Anonymous

During Peniel's part, when he said "This is for the haters, get lost I'll see you later" then he made a V-sign. There is actually a nail-art on his middle finger that says "you"

Joanne Elizabeth

you didn't remember SF9 Zuho ??, Jeff, he was the ' male version of Venus ' a line you liked so much last week and he's been incredible throughout , i'm speechless and sad you didn't have any recollection of him :(

Doyoungismyult

I highly recommend reacting to the dance practices. Sf9 released one for move and the Boyz released some as well 🥰..as well as ikon

Here's a breakdown of the Kingdom rankings excluding ALL the fan votes, digitals and views (the intro mission benefit 1000 points are also excluded as those were 100% based on fan votes too) because I thought you might want to know. Credits to Stayanalytics. R1 1. Ateez - 2,944.445 2. Stray Kids - 2,444.444 3. The Boyz - 1833.333 4. Btob - 1,444.444 5. iKON - 888.889 6. SF9 - 444.444 R2 1. Ateez - 2,155.72 2. SF9 - 2,136.05 3. Btob - 2,021.073 4. iKON - 1,695.402 5. Stray Kids - 1,072.797 6. The Boyz - 919.540  R3.1 1. Stray Kids - 5,000 2. Btob - 5,000 3. Ateez - 5,000 4. SF9 - 0 5. The Boyz - 0 6. iKON - 0 R3.2 1. Cant believe it end already. I don't know why but im more sad that i will not getting reaction about kd from you anymore rather than the actual kd was ending itself lol 😂 thank you jeff for your hardwork from rtk to kd, cant thank you enough for your effort. Hope you have a good day ❤

christina

Stray Kids were so consistent on this show and they gave new concepts, performances, self produced mixes, and highlighted each member every single performance! It’s kinda disheartening that some people are reducing their win to purely their popularity when in reality they would’ve won without fan votes and video streams (which they did dominate). Overall, I found this show such a great opportunity for SKZ to show off their skills to the general public and hopefully gain more fans domestically. They are the moment and deserved the win that they got 😁

Joanne Elizabeth

well i went into this not really knowing SF9 and come out of it a fully committed Fantasy , no surprise then for me SF9 were the best , and i'm so thankful for the beautiful and ongoing friendships of SF9 and iKON members . Looking forward to SF9's comeback very soon

kinara

zuho was the member in sf9 who sang the whisper rap in their "believer" stage (also in the studio version, he changed his rap for the final stage and it's very clear as the tone and everything is much different than in the studio version of the song). he also did the knife scene in their "the stealer" stage and rapped the part "I am the male version of venus" in their "move" stage also !!! i do hope you get to know more about sf9 like music wise and even personality wise because they are amazing people and I am so happy people got to know more about sf9 that isn't just about how tall they are or what great actors they are.

eve_ss

I got chills with the King's Voice performance seriously! They all have their distinct and unique voices and they blended it so well in the song. I got so emotional. 🥺 That was such a beautiful song! ❤ On the other hand, such a missed opportunity that Mnet did not include Changmin on the King's Voice performance tho as we all know how good of a vocalist he is. (Vocal God). It would have been so nice and extra special too since I know lot of them really looked up to TVXQ. But yeah, I kinda understand too since he's there as an MC and not really as a performer. I hope we still get a lot of interaction from these groups after this show ends. More than anything, the bond that they have made here is what I'm living for and that's what I love the most on this show. Good job to everyone!! 👏🏻❤💯

May

Agree with your thoughts on Ateez's performance. Yunho stood out to me the most too. I believe San's grandfather passed away before the final too and he was still doing his best and I just want to say I'm so proud of him for that 💖 In fact I'm so proud of all the groups for getting through the last few months and putting out so many amazing performances for us. I hope everyone has a good rest after this.

eve_ss

No wonder I love the song 'Kingdom Come' by The Boyz the moment I heard it. It was actually composed and written by producers who worked on songs for a lot of SM artists. As an SM stan, I really enjoyed the song a lot! and they got the highest digital score too for this! Well deserved. 👏🏻 The Boyz's vocals, dance, and overall performance on this were superb! I'm so amazed and mesmerized. 🔥🥰 At this point, The Boyz could already be considered as "SM's son" seriously. HAHA The choreographer who helped them throughout this show and as well as in RTK who is 'Mihawk' is actually under SM. I heard some of their staffs and managers were from SM too before. I wouldn't be surprised if one day SM decided to just officially adopt THE BOYZ into their company. HAHA (I mean who wouldn't want them right? These boys are so very talented!! oh and don't get me started with their visuals! Damn. I became a Deobi because of this show tbh. 😂)

EZDC

Since you asked, for the global fans who voted via the app... it was a real struggle. The app kept malfunctioning. It won't let the users log in and kept returning Gateway timeout error messages. It was a hassle. Some of us couldn't even watch the other performances in worry of not getting our votes in just before the voting period ends. Halfway through all the performances, the app kinda came okay, some could login, but it was like just 1 hour to 30 mins left before the voting period ended.

eve_ss

I saw this on twt. I think it was also flashed on the ending credits on this episode. So here's the overall final scores for the 6 teams: 1. Stray Kids - 38,873.040 (Winner 👑) 2. The Boyz - 23,963.497 3. Ateez - 21,298.106 4. BtoB - 20,277.121 5. iKON - 13,875.888 6. SF9 - 12.713.348

Personal Ranking for this round 1. ATEEZ 2. SF9 3. TBZ 4. iKON/BTOB/SKZ Random thoughts on each performance 1. ATZ- All the references to their previous songs, lyrics and mehmeh’s.... The fact that San an Seonghwa said they shouldn’t do a suit fit on Kingdom, The Say My Name floor cleaning choreo, Jongho and his apple.... Yunho and Wooyoung’s dance solo’s 🤌🏼 The kids from their immortal songs performance 🥺 The freestyles at the end. Yes Jongho pop off👏🏼 Yes San yeet that water over yourself 👀 The use of the different Satoori... Them going to the audience too. Also idk why but Hongjoong looked so tiny in that outfit. It genuinely made him look cute. I loved how they were each dressed and acted as completely different characters throughout the performance. Everything just screamed individualality and freedom to me. I love it. ^^ 2. SF9- Oooh. Shiny. ✨✨ First off. Their costume and set designer NEED A RAISE. Good lord the use of that single tunnel in so many ways was genius. I was in awe of how Fantasy’s holographic colour was implemented throughout the whole stage. The choreography throughout the whole stage was just *chefs kiss*. Its the most dance heavy performance they’ve done so far and it was magnificent 🥲 Zuho was hecking insane in his part. Those were some real final anime boss vibes coming off that man. The song itself too. Probably my favourite out of the Six. (I like all the songs but I feel like I need to be in a specific mood to enjoy them. However, I can 🕺Tak tak tak🎶 any time of the day ^^) The callbacks to their previous performances: - Youngbin saying no to the chessboard and the crown (The Stealer) but taking the Crystal representing Fantasy instead( intro round). - Dawon and Inseong with the mirrors (Now or Never) - The tree formations (Move) -Hwiyoung checking his watch at the end (Intro round) The way the light reflected off Taeyang when he did that spin at the end and how his coat fringed out like that....😱 So freaking majestic. I loved how they just walked off at the end too like they were in some fantasy drama or something.... Bai Kingdom. It was fun. We’re goin’ home now. 3. TBZ - I seriously cannot get over their dance break. That has to be one of the cleanest most satisfying things I’ve seen EVER on stage in kpop. I like how they included some prerecorded stuff so that the members who couldn’t take part were still in the performance. Those water dance parts gave me very much “Baby don’y Cry” vibes and I loved it. I also felt like compared to all their other stages this one was the most focussed on them. It felt like ONF’s final stage from RTK a bit. There were no crazy props. Just them and their dancers. And it worked. 4. BTOB - The intro were Changsub is singing low. Holy crap I got goosebumps. This song really felt like an epic finale song. I was loving the white and mainly blue focus ( it’s so cool how BTOB, SF9 and iKON all styled their stages around their fandom colours. ) Annnd. Minhyuk. Wtf. His styling in this and in “Painting with Colours” should be illegal. My guy totally deserved that #1 visual halo ^^ 4. iKON - Their relaxed demeanor. The red. The song itself is really really good and they way they sang it made me want to march around my room like a soldier and then start dancing and breaking stuff 💀. I loved Bobby’s way of interacting with the camera. The cheeky smile before the chorus started and how he grabbed it too. DK was highkey giving me GD Fantastic Baby era vibes with that hair hehe. 4. SKZ Chan totally reminded me of a bat in that first scene lmao. Their energy was so great during the performance. I’ve really come to appreciate how masterful SKZ are at dedicating themselves to a concept. I finally got the kinda Changbin rap I was wishing for so I was over the moon about that. ^^ I am so happy at all the attention Seungmin has been getting for his vocals lately.

wah iKON have never been in the top3… happy that it’s over for my boys

What a beautiful finale. Everyone worked hard to improve themselves in the past few months so I hope they get to rest now. I’m so grateful that BtoB joined this show and that Minhyuk kept pushing them to go (they originally wanted to decline) because not only did they prove that they are much more than just a ballad group but they also taught the hoobaes a lot. Our eldest BtoB worked so hard, especially our competitive perfectionist Minhyuk who ended up with bruises all over his body because of how hard he practiced. He has a bad knee (he had to get surgery once or twice) yet you would never notice because he just pushes through the pain to give a perfect performance. Kingdom wouldn’t have been the same without them and I dare to say that they are part of the reason why the show was a success because they lightened up the atmosphere the first minute they were seen. They played their role well as the eldest and helped the hoobaes feel at ease. This is just the end of Chapter 1 get ready and pay close attention to what they’ll show next, BtoB will last forever.

Anonymous

You mentioned that iKON‘s finale song felt like something they’ve never done to you but that’s probably because you only know their newer things. iKON is a hiphop group so At Ease is them returning to their original color. I agree iKON still has a lot more things they could show but iKON wouldn’t be iKON if they took their stage too serious. You mentioned that you think that dance isn’t their strength yet they shocked you with their competition level Dance Performance during the introduction stage. iKON being bad dancers is a image they gained because they don’t do big Dance Performances often but that doesn’t mean that they can’t. I personally think that iKON is one of the strongest and best dance groups among idols. iKON came to Kingdom to have fun. Thanks to iKON the hoobaes remembered that it’s not all about winning. I think it was Sunwoo who said that he realized after working with Bobby that he was too focused on winning that he had forgotten to have fun. I think this is a very important lesson for all the hoobaes, no matter what the outcome don‘t forget to have fun

Samantha

First things first I want to point out to ppl before my long ass essay response that I usually do, The Real was going to be Ateez's next title track. At the end of the Fireworks mv you can hear the intro to The Real in it which is what they do with their next title track that they did last time with Thanxx! Just an interesting thing I didn't see a whole lot of ppl talking about! ^_^

May

Jeff I think its finally time for you to get to know Stray Kids better 😂 I would recommend checking out Finding Skz God Edition, Skz Code, Mysterious Kitchen and All Night Skz. Would also recommend listening to their Skz records.

Erley

Congratulations to the winner. But I'm not going to lie and say I'm not annoyed with this show. I'm not surprised by the winner honestly the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. I think most people saw this happening by how the rules were setup. The groups with a more a domestic fanbase were setup to fail especially starting with the first round. Not to say there weren't instances the domestic groups didn't do well mostly SF9.(Whew Move) But even they couldn't overcome the scoring. I felt bad for them. I'm glad they realized at the end this show doesn't define who they are especially the Boyz and iKON. By the end of this iKON was pretty much screw everything that's not SF9 and the Boyz and I felt that. 😂 Seeing iKON who are mostly introverted step out of their comfort zone and interact with new groups has been a joy to watch. I know everyone was more excited about the groups who they felt had more extroverted members but seeing iKON who have basically been living in a dungeon at YG just be free to laugh and talk with new people was just nice to see. I'm glad iKON has friends outside of the company and don't feel so alone now. MNET didn't treat iKON, SF9, BtoB and the Boyz fairly and overall this show has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Thank you for your hard work on these reactions every time. I had a lot of fun listening to your comments and watching all the episodes with you :)

delluna

Thank you Jeff for all the reactions, it’s been great to go through this journey with you. As for my boyz I’m extremely proud and more than satisfied with the finale. Kingdom Come is the queen <3 Can’t believe they can finally rest properly. 1st place on road to kingdom and 2nd on kingdom is huge, I’m super proud of what they’ve become. I’ll be looking forward to your reactions as they started to release the dance practices for kingdom 🙌🏻

EZDC

He can have a chance to get to know them better when the reality show they've won from Kingdom gets released. But honestly, you're right. I really feel like he hasn't dwell into SKZ that deep. Of course, he's reacting to different groups every day; he's a multi. But it would be really nice. So Jeff, if you can read this. Baka naman po, kuya?

Sham Sham

thats where i heard the instrumental from. i have been fighting with myself ever since these songs came out about how I knew the instrumental for its real but I just couldn't figure it out. but bruhh the fact that they performed their next title track on here ughhh. but imagine if some of these songs got MV' after like how some groups did from rtkt (oneus made an mv for comeback home, and pentagon with basquat) honestly the song I feel could get 1 is for sure the boys and it would be crazy if the videos used in this ep were in the actual video too.

Sham Sham

personally, this was by far the best performance the boys did this season and was my fav performance for the final. the use of the pre-reorded videos was so cool it added such a cool dynamic, legit felt like an MV. but I'm not gonna lie I got so attached to the real because baby mingi was able to be a part of the song for the finale, so when they cut his audio out I got so hurt😂 i forgot they would have to do that still since he's not there.

EZDC

A comment regarding Bobby's part in their performance. I think he was rapping faster than his part. And at the same time, his part from the song was on, so you could hear two voices. Or, if he's not rapping faster, I just think the rapping's volume from the backup track(?) was kinda loud and should have been decreased.

EZDC

Ah. But when you commented that 'At Ease' was almost like a SKZ song, I also felt that. And I read some persons too that commented the same thing. But maybe that's just the non-Ikonic in us. Because I've also read that it's really IKON's style

EZDC

I feel like I've made several comments now in this. But let me just be honest real quick. When I first started with Kingdom, SKZ was the only group I bias. I mean, they're my first ever Kpop group. But I've known the others too. However, SF9 was the only one I wasn't familiar with. Sp, thank you Kingdom for letting me know them! It's been a stressful journey, this competition. And I've been meaning to look into them once Kingdom ended. BTOB and SF9 are the ones I've had my eyes on. I love every one of the members of the two groups. Altho recently, for SF9, Zuho has been wrecking me (the one Jeff couldn't recognize). Ugh. He's just... He looks so d*mn fine, and he's a rapper too that also participated in some producing of their songs. This man. Oh my god

Anonymous

I've loved watching this show "with you" Jeff 😊 For the finale songs BTOB's Finale (Show and prove) was without a doubt my favorite song to listen to 😍 But as a stage performance/experience it didn't reach the top as I'm so much in love with dancing in performances. So for the finale performance my ranking is: 1. SF9. 2. The Boyz. 3. Stray Kids. 4. BTOB. 5. iKON. 6. Ateez. Although all were AMAZING as always 👌 And I'm happy for Stray Kids, but my personal overal favorite is SF9 💖

EZDC

I WAS HONESTLY EXPECTING MC CHANGMIN TO ALSO SING! Such a missed opportunity, as you've said

Anonymous

iKON will release some content with the name BEHIND THE KINGDOM, will you check it out? Teaser: https://youtu.be/-dPjN3H5VKI

Anonymous

Ateez came to have fun and not to win and honestly I think it was the best thing for them to do

EZDC

Another comment again from me. I like SF9's ending part! The one when Hwiyoung was highlighted, looking at his watch because I was immediately reminded of their Intro stage where Hwiyoung also kinda did the same thing! Then, when they walked out to the back, I was sure that it was really in parallel with their Intro stage, like a really good ending from the way they started.

Daniel Secundino

thanks to this show I discovered BTOB and SF9. I don't care who won because now I found out new amazing artist and I am sure they all got new fans!

Teriana Eady

Yesss plz react to treasure box

Samantha

Okay so here we are, at the end of Kingdom! So sad it's over in terms of your reactions Jeff and for the great stages we got to see BUT so so so relieved it's done for everyone involved in the shows because damn they all worked hard! From the groups performing on stage to all the behind the stage workers, this one was a hard one. Here's my last essay on this show but I'm excited to see you pick up pd101 again along with either I-land or TreasureBox (personally I voted I-land but I'm ready to see your thoughts on either! 😊) Performances: Ateez: (I want to preface this one by saying San is such a strong man because he just lost one of the most important people in his life, his grandfather who practically raised him in his childhood. I just hope he has time to rest and mourn properly now that this is all done.) oh my boys did such a great job for a final stage! They stuck to their own color (which thankfully all of the groups did for this round as well!) and portrayed S.Korea along with their own personal colors as each member had their time at center stage. I love the fact that their main motif was a Korean proverb that they kept at the center of both the lyrics and their actual presentation on stage. Also, the way they just basically said "fuck it, friendship first!" for this performance really warmed my heart 🥰. Just like you said before the performances started, I'm really interested to see how many of these groups make these songs/performances into actual comebacks because I could see the threads of Ateez's universe in the stage so I have an inkling that this may become at least an official mv at some point. All in all, I felt like they created a fantastic final stage that showcased themselves as performers, showing what they can do as a group along with a finale feel! Overall, 9/10 for me ! Stray Kids: Random thing before I comment on the stage, Changbin having the same shoes as me at the arcade but me being 6ft in them vs him being about my normal height in them makes me wanna just hug him to my heart so hard!!! On to the stage/song: I'm gonna be honest, not my fave skz track. It was a bit to repetitive of a song for me and the concept itself is just not really my thing??? (can u tell I'm a vampire person over werewolves lmaooooooooo the middle school twilight in me just jumped out) Still, this was a fantastic stage!!! I was not really feeling the chorus of just shouting "wolfgang" over and over again, it felt boring to me. On top of that tho, the raps were so much more apparent and made the song a way better stage because their color was stronger and had more thought to it rather than just a powerful choreo section. I think my favorite part of the stage was the diagonal trampolines, I kind of wished they'd been used more! Also, Mr. Bang Chan what the fuck actually. The audacity in men I swear! 😂😳😂 Also, this didn't really feel like a finale stage to me, more so a second round kind of stage, one that wasn't the initial performance but also feels like it needs a continuation of some kind. Overall, this was a 7.5/10 for me. The Boyz: IM SO PROUD OF THEM!!!! Okay now that I got that scream out of me lol, it really is true tho. This stage really felt like a culmination of everything they've been through with rtk, the stealer cb in between the 2 shows, and kingdom itself. I'm fully in love with this song and I defs enjoyed it and this stage more than Checkmate which really did not feel like a finale song to me. I guess in a way that worked out but Kingdom Come really is one of my fave tbz songs now. (og no air stays on top tho!) This stage was just, ah I can't say enough good things about it!!! Artistic, powerful, and yet somehow soft at times. If I had to describe it as anything, I'd call it the end of Act 1 of a musical kind of song. Sangyeon really is pushing his way up my tbz bias list, we'll see if he can overtake Sunwoo or New but for now I doubt it lol. Still, that man for this stage just 😍😍😍😍!!!! The move with Jacob controlling him along with his high note made him just stand out so well. Not to mention Q FINALLY getting his time to shine as their main dancer this stage. Ugh, that choreo where he's center controlling them all, stunning! The only thing I'd say this stage was lacking in was that I actually did not enjoy the vcr cuts. I felt like they pulled me out of the stage and were too polished for a live stage. I wasn't a fan. They were edited and executed well but I just didn't feel like they had a place here. Overall, I gotta give this stage 9/10 for sure! Btob: During this entire performance all I could do was smile so wide and it didn't change rewatching it here with your reaction Jeff! God, they really just went up there and showed how a 10 year group can fully create a stage and execute it perfectly. It fully felt like a concert that we all just attended and I'm sure the other groups felt that way as well! I would kill for this to be a full comeback, I want to see a mv, live stages at music shows, interviews on it, the whole 9 yards!!! I so agree with you calling this a triumphant song, that was what it felt like. Overall, I gotta give this one a 9/10 as well. Would have been a 10/10 with just a bit more choreo for me but I understand it's a Btob stage so like I get it! 😊 iKon: I really enjoyed the balance to this stage. Like you said, a very effective chorus! It really made me pay attention to the contrasts that they all put on stage for this performance. All in all, Kingdom really proved that iKon CANNOT lipsync to save their lives lmaooooooo. It made me really appreciate iKon as performers rather than just a kpop group that leans hiphop more often than not. The other thing I really liked about this stage was that iKon kept up with not only their signature sound, but also their signature performance where they go free for a section of the stage. The way they manage to make their performances feel a bit more like a party or a concert each time really makes me enjoy them more than I typically would because iKon's sound is just not my thing. The one thing I do have to say tho is that this finale stage felt a little bit more chaotic than usual for them so I have to wonder if they did that on purpose with their song choice or if they were just a more keyed up with it being a live finale. Overall, 8/10 for this one! SF9: Okay the staging for this tho!!!!! The use of the hallway/arch along with the choreo really sold me on this. Again, I need their stylist to make me some clothes because god damn those tailored fits!!!! I super enjoyed this stage, I love how almost eerie the song is paired with the graceful choreo that they executed so well. My main point of interest for this performance was definitely Chani and Taeyang's individual choreo moments. I really hope that more ppl came out of Kingdom appreciating SF9 as a performance group because they really are so strong with their complete stages and choreos. I did feel that the chorus got a bit repetitive with this song much like skz, but it was a bit less obvious because it was a softer vocal moment that was repeated so it wasn't as jarring to me. Overall, I'd give this performance a 8.5/10. Personal Final Ranking for this Round: 1. The Boyz 2. Ateez 3. Btob 4.SF9 5. Stray Kids/iKon It was quite a journey from beginning to end! And if we go back the whole way to the start of Road to Kingdom it's been even longer! All in all, I did enjoy both shows even when I was ready to burn down mnet for their shady shit on the side. By the end of Kingdom my top 3 performances were: Ateez Wonderland, Stray Kids God's Menu/Du-du-du-du-du, and then The Boyz Kingdom Come. My final thoughts are that I hope mnet never uses whosfan for global voting ever again that piece of shit app is a mess that needs way more server space if they want to continue using it. Love love love the reactions to competition shows Jeff! Can't wait to see which one you pick up next! 💖

lovelypgw

I really love how ATEEZ’ performance seemed more like a celebration. It’s so nice to see them all have fun and that interaction with the Mayfly team was such a good addition to the performance. All of the other groups did well too but ATEEZ’ performance gave me a final feel more than the others. Anyways i’m so proud of all the groups!! They went through a lot and as much as I hate mnet, this show really gave us such fantastic performances and group interactions that we wouldn’t have seen anywhere else.

Hmmm... I had so many things to say as i was re-watching this here but honestly... i'll just stick to the basics: (To me) Best thing to come out of Kingdom was the friendship between iKON and SF9. As far as i know the fandoms (Fantasy and iKonics) are currently trying to figure out a joint fandom name. iKonic Fantasies? Suggestions are welcome. I voted yes but the WhosFan App crashed (as expected due to high volume of traffic) after the first minute of voting. And i'm not exaggerating it really only took a minute for it to crash. All the international fans where complaining that they couldn't vote. So i'm not sure how much international voting this actually got. Congrats to Stray Kids and Stays. They're really sweet kids and awesome performers and although i'm a Fantasy (not a Stay) i can't find fault in them winning :) Would've loved to see how much voting points each team got and not only the final global result though. I guess i gotta do some math to find that out. As always thanks Jeff for the review. Although I've subscribed exclusively for Kingdom you've captivated my attention and i'm gonna stay around and check out your other content :)

Does SF9 have a mostly domestic fanbase? From browsing the fan forums I kinda feel most of their fans are international, not in a Stray Kids dimension off course, but somewhat more English speaking than Korean. But i may be misconstrued.

Azana Reed

I hope that you listened to the songs separate from the performances cause for instance ATEEZ remixed their song for the performance. Like in the original song the Yunho dance break wasn't in it and instead it was a verse from Mingi. The original song is different from the performance almost entirely.

Anonymous

the way TBZ include VCR to show OT11 members dancing🥺 and yes haknyeon also didn't join the live performance~ he just joined the ending part they still brought Game of Thrones theme and the storyline since Road To Kingdom is just, insaneeee~

Anonymous

100% agree that SF9 set designer and stylist deserve a bonus at the end of Kingdom. The references to the other performances where sooooooo good! It screamed "Fantasy" with the colors and the sparkle :D

Anonymous

And even at the halfway "recovery" not everyone was able to login. Facebook login just kept giving time out. It was a bust and honestly very amateur move on their part that they didn't assume the pike in traffic and properly reinforced the servers. *eyerools*

Welcome welcome. We're a friendly (small but growing) bunch :)

vannia

Jeff! Tbz started releasing their dance practice/behind videos for the kingdom performances so i hope if you could react to them, theres a lot of the process they went thru ;;;

디아 Dia

Jeff the boyz dance practice video is out, I'm waiting for your reaction Now it's an introduction video out in the boyz youtube channel I really miss video reaction from you to the boyz. Besides the performance I want you to take a reaction to their reality show And thankyou for your time with us

Doyoungismyult

Jeff Ikons song was more Ikon then any of the songs they did on Kingdom 😂...also..maybe you don’t listen to that many YG artists but that ending was the most YG ending. Almost every single YG artists ends title tracks with a random breakdown at the end 🤣🤣

Erley

Right they've done so many times for the competition. lol

Camylle Val

I think the whole performance has parts of their previous performance, there is the trick Taeyang did during his intro perf also the the scene in jealous with hwiyoung and Taeyang but inverted and others

Stray Kids’ win is 100% deserved. They’ve been the most consistent with their stages, and they definitely deserve their props for literally being the only ones on the show to consecutively produce, compose, write AND arrange all of their songs (including helping with choreo). They’re such a skilled group, and when it comes to performances, they know exactly how to deliver. People can claim that this was a popularity contest all they want, but according to StayAnalytics on twitter, SKZ would have still won the show solely based on judge and peer evaluation with no fandom influence. The members said that they didn’t enjoy the show much, especially with recent events they’ve been emotionally and physically drained, but they still had the goal of wanting to win and managed to do so. I’m so proud of all eight boys, and also now that KD is over, Hyunjin can return soon :)

Doyoungismyult

I have said it once and I will say it a million more times. People need to quit sleeping on SF9. I hope to the lord almighty that final ranking you showed wasn’t for the performance for the finale show alone because they had one of the most cohesive and beautiful stages of the night 😩 I am prepared to stream there new album and MV that comes out in July. All the teams were phenomenal. My personal ranking is 1. Ikon, The Boyz, SF9, BTOB, STRAY KIDS, ATEEZ Last place: MNET . Congratulations to stray kids though because they deserved the win. They had amazing performances 🥰

Doyoungismyult

Yes they totally deserved it.....but from the get go the show should not have allowed the percentage it did for international fans because from the get go over half the teams had a huge advantage because they have way more fans internationally then other groups. It would have been much more fair to even percentage or judges have more votes. However I’m not saying stray kids don’t deserve it. They truly do. 🥰

Hey Jeff! Just wanna speak from a musical standpoint that you weren’t wrong in saying The Real reminded you of Aladdin because the musical scale that underscored the entire song and that reminded you of it is used quite frequently in Middle Eastern, Central Asian, Eastern European and Flamenco music, although in the west we call it a Phrygian Dominant scale. It’s an incredibly cool scale and the fact that Edenary incorporated it into the song is very, very cool and it’s honestly become one of my favorite ATEEZ songs. I know you’ve mentioned multiple times throughout the show that ATEEZ’s choices have been risky, but that’s just honestly their style. Hongjoong has said it before that they know what they want to do with their music and they’re not gonna deviate from that (I’m paraphrasing, but he definitely spoke about how they had their own identity and aren’t gonna let what other people say change them). They’ve always taken risk and I honestly can’t recall a time where they’ve played it safe (although anyone reading this please feel free to correct me), and I honestly appreciate that a great deal although I also understand how some people may be turned away by that. I personally thought this might be one of if not my absolute favorite performance of theirs from the entire show, because I loved the symbolism in terms of lyrics but also from a visual standpoint it was very colorful and it really did show of their colors as performers and to me that’s one of the most important parts. I also loved how they shouted out all the other Kingdom groups, and even invited them out for meat after the show (if I interpreted it correctly lol) plus the Mayfly jam session near the end was endearing. I’m proud of all the groups for giving their all throughout the show, because we as fans were truly blessed with some unbelievable stages, but as an Atiny first and foremost (although I walked out of kingdom a Melody lol so if there’s any Melodies here, hey<3) I’m so, so, so proud of them and everything they did throughout the competition. And last but certainly not least, thank you so much for your reactions Jeff! They were very insightful and thought-provoking every week! 💖

Krizzy G

Finally, thank you for having the Kingdom journey with us Jeff! Congratulations Stray Kids for winning Kingdom 👑 and to all the groups who worked hard for the show. Much love! Through this show, I got to know more groups which I will follow from now on. Not gonna lie that it affects me when others put up the popularity card and appreciate the performances less than it deserves. Depsite all, I’m happy that Stray Kids come through with or without the fanvotes. I came to love all the groups and would like others to see it the way I do. Fighting! Will be looking forward to your Kingdom Week reactions!

If you want to see more of seugmins high notes you should definetly check out his collab stage with other singers on the 2021 seoul music awards:)

I just love ATEEZ. All the groups had amazing final stages and deserve first rank. You could argue your case as to why each deserve it and I would agree because they do, each for different reasons. In my case, it's ATEEZ. I watched Kingdom because of them, grew to appreciate and admire all the other groups during this time but it's ATEEZ for me. They've proven their versatility both musically and performance-wise by showcasing very distinct performances. They set the bar as to what an epic performance is supposed to be like with Wonderland. With Rhythm Ta it was the song re-arrangement and impeccable production quality that impressed. With the collaboration stages they showed how well they can work with other groups although the same applies to the other groups. With Answer they satisfied their fans and propelled they're backstory. With the Real they broke loose of convention and showed who they are. We finally saw what amazing dancers Yunho and Wooyoung are. Yeosang finally had some center time and equal enough amount of screentime. My one gripe is Yeosang did not really get any exposure until round 3 which is unfortunate. San and Seonghwa killing it with their facial expressions and stage presence as always. Hongjoong's rap and insane charisma such a great leader! Jongho proving he's more than just a high note...his humor and dance break, hello!? This final stage was just them, being more relaxed and having fun, hyping up the audience, exuding energy and just putting on a fun and enjoyable show ... they know how to entertain! Can't leave without a shout out to the kids and their backup dancers ... they were awesome! Overall I am happy with what they accomplished during Kingdom, what all the groups accomplished. I congratulate Stray Kids and Stays for winning and have mad respect for all the groups. By the end, it was touching to see how everyone gained friends, took pride in their performances and grew from this experience.

kai

Jeff you should watch Good Girl now or Queendom since Kingdom over with fr so you can get to know the girls more

Wan Mendes

My favorites performances were probably The Boyz and SF9. I loved BTOB and Ateez too. For some reasons this episode made me think, I hope you react to Imitation maybe once you’re finished with others series.

Wan Mendes

I’m not into Stray Kids much. But I definitely enjoy listening to Seungmin singing. Gorgeous voice for these kind of songs.

Kathy N

So you asked why Han was alone, and my first thought was, I wonder if he's an I with his MBTI, and I was correct! All the rest of the members are E, so it makes sense they would go do things in groups. lol

Anonymous

I'm so proud of Ateez. I'm also a new Atiny because of their kingdom performances (even before 'Bulnoriya' Era lol) I'm satisfied about ateez performance and their choice of songs, I'm very lucky to see their new style of music and they really enjoy performing even tho that they are in competition. All of their kingdom performance was my favorite! Ngl, i'm rooting for them starting right now!

I’m very late to comment on this post but I finally finished watching ep 10 Kingdom Finale with you Jeff! Before I get into a long essay with this, I just want to take this chance now as just one of your many viewers/ followers on your reaction vids --- THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR EDUCATED, UNFILTERED, HONEST and FUN reviews with all the content you share with us!! )) You are one of the reactors who inspire me a lot ( and probably more of your followers feel the same). I’ve learned so much from your explanations on each performance you reacted on and got influenced on how you point out details too. As I started watching Road To Kingdom until Kingdom, I have to be honest that I was rooting for iKon, SF9 and The Boyz the most. The Boyz were definitely new to me when they performed on RTK but the expectations were already high as Kingdom finally happened. (From the intro stage, The Boyz set the standard for Kingdom already…) Just like the majority of fans, it is really hard ranking all these amazing, impactful and talented artists. You did mention several times that was difficult to rank them all since they have been showcasing different genres and themes throughout each round. Each groups’ color shined so much that we get overwhelmed on how they keep raising the bars for themselves as performers. ATEEZ:: Since I did a pre-listen to each of their Finale songs, the first thing on my mind about “ The REAL” was those Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and Egyptian vibes that almost everyone have felt. I didn’t expect that their performance would be incorporated about the diversity in school and their community. I really respect Hongjoong’s take and his own beliefs about this. I know some people will disagree with me, however I really loved this song and performance the most out of all what ATEEZ did from Kingdom. It’s very catchy, hip, chill and patronizing their Korean roots made me want to experience it first-hand (when we all have a chance to travel to South Korea soon). I also appreciated how San, Yunho, Seonghwa (please correct me if there was another member) who incorporated their natural Korean dialect accents to the song. Also, can we talk abot how those kid dancers slayed their dance break with ATEEZ too. “Humble and Kindness” is an impactful message and lesson they conveyed to all of us. It also showed from them being the maknae group of Kingdom that they’ve been influenced by their sunbaes a lot. THE BOYZ:: First of all, their long journey from RTK to KINGDOM has paid off a lot. They are worth praising for everything they have gone through as team and for doing their best to more than exceed everyone’s expectations. “KINGDOM COME” felt that it was ultimately the sequel to “Checkmate”. It solidified the meaning but after seeing the live performance stage of it, I am still at awe how great storytellers and consistent conceptual group THE BOYZ are. THE BOYZ’ Gates of Heaven version was showed perfectly. The VCR transitions were seamless and impactful. As Jeff mentioned, there were a lot of dynamics with their choreography (which is not a surprise anymore from them ^^; ) and their synchronization is insane. PLUS don’t forget those beautiful body lines they are known for as a team. It is so satisfying especially I was still reminded how they moved as one body from their Monster performance. I felt sad that Younghoon wasn’t able to dance with them completely but the fact he still participated in his own way ( with his doctor’s approval as well), making it more meaningful for THE BOYZ. I am very proud at how much they have grown as artists. They are still young and have a long way to go. STRAY KIDS:: I agree with Jeff that “Wolfgang” is more towards a performance piece than a cohesive song you can listen to. However, when I first listened to this, the intro already made me think “This is definitely Stray Kids vibes”. I don’t know why I thought they got inspired from Twilight Saga and Paw Patrol for some reason. This is my least fave performance from them on Kingdom. I really love their “I’ll Be Your Man” Rearrangement the most. (Some may disagree with me, so I respect your opinions too). Maybe that’s just me during that moment XD When they started their perf playing Mozart’s Piano Sonata No. 16, I thought they will do a remix of classical however I was definitely mistaken. Their dance choreography was full of stunts as well. My heart dropped when they were jumping from behind the other dancers, Han’s part where he was doing some type of Parkour on the slopes with the back-up dancers, Chan bringing back his upside down stunt from 1st Round, and just them embodying werewolf movements. Definitely a competition piece as you’ve said. It was very hyped up as a whole and I can picture it where fans sing-along on concerts too. Changbin’s rap part always hit me differently because on how he grabs your attention with his tone and flow. (He really has become my biaswrecker on SKZ while watching Kingdom). Another precious moment I’ve noticed was when they were all creeping on the back of the back-up dancers and left a space for Hyunjin’s spot too T^T Just like every STAYS have mentioned, they started and ended as a pack of Wolves. No one gets left behind. BTOB:: What more can I say from BTOB, “Finale (Show and Prove)” was the Finale song that Jeff have mentioned as the triumphant song among the bunch. Just listening to it the first time when it dropped made me feel as if I was watching a live concert again. At first I thought Changsub and Minhyuk will actually do those metallic rock band screams toward the chorus or even the Outro. I have so much respect for them as a veteran group and they never failed to exceed everyone’s expectations. Even though they didn’t do difficult choreography, their stage presentation, their vocals and rap, the message they wanted to convey and just them being BTOB were enough to wrap up their journey in Kingdom. When Eunkwang sang the first chorus, bro---- I felt chills. And the part he was lifted up in the air while singing had the most impact on me. Their fandom color is so calming and pure too. Moreover, this is the best rapping moment that I’ve heard from Peniel throughout Kingdom. I know Jeff mentioned he did better during their “Backdoor” rearranged version but this one had more emotion to it. Looking forward for the next chapter of BTOB, especially Hyunsik and Sungjae are coming back soon. Thank you so much again to BTOB for being the hyungs that all the groups of Kingdom leaned on, learned from and made them feel at ease. <3 IKON:: Speaking of “At Ease”, nothing beats hiphop iKOn the most. Remembering that this is iKOn’s 4th survival show in their career and a Re-birth in itself, as an iKonic myself, I AM VERY PROUD OF THEM. I never knew I needed Rapper Jinhwan in my life either. Jinhwan’s rapping flow was both cute and sexy at the same time. DONGHYUK really brought out that GDRAGON energy on another level!! KIM JIWON having fun is still satisfying but I did think there was technical issues with the backtrack. CHANWOO and YUNHYEONG’s vocals blended so well too. They stayed true to themselves and showcased what they have learned just playing on the stage like it’s their home. I am not fully well-versed in Korean but thankfully when I watched (Andy and Jas) deconstructing iKon’s lyrics for “At Ease”, iKon wasn’t kidding with their savageness and swag. There were a couple of wordplays in the song which I really appreciated. It’s very punchy and with the display of the actual choreography, they definitely made a trend. Especially Koo Junhoe (JU-NE) part. As Jeff mentioned with the outro part of this song, I also felt that it was sort of out of place at first with just the audio. However, it did made sense when they did the camera work, the choreo and the signature YG family anthem at the end. I enjoyed the part where they use the cages so well (A BIG SLAP DISS TO YG DUNGEON AND MNET FOR TRYING TO LIMIT IKON FROM THEIR FREEDOM) Can we also talk about the beginning part where Bobby thanked Mino from Winner and SF9 waving the KONbats! So precious <3 My IKONIC x FANTASY heart~~ iKon your stage presence and your own IKONic style is enough for us! Thank you for coming back to us, playing on stage, creating new friendships at last and just being Ikon. (ALSO thank you to B.I. for coming back as well. OT7 forever! ) Jeff’s sister would know this too SF9:: Not gonna lie, I did not expect them to be the finale part of the live streaming. I also wonder like Jeff on how they concluded this line-up performance but I am not mad about it. “Breath (Believer)” radiated those 2000 pop song vibes though. ^^; maybe its just me. As everyone had predicted, it really had that sexiness vibe in their choreo, showcasing their strengths with their body lines, acting and emotion. I also highly appreciate them for coordinating their mirror concept, the Move concept, and Fantasia Hologram fandom color. The song itself is definitely a message to their fans to never give up because they believed in themselves more throughout Kingdom. The most impactful portion were definitely the intro part wih Yoo Taeyang and Hwiyoung doing their partner choreo (which was adapted from their 1st round performance), ZUHO’s 1st rap verse that had a creeping vibe and the ending team dance choreography (plus TAEYANG’s smooth spin which made me think immediately Jeff would love so much). Majority have expected body rolls and chest pumps. Their visual designers and stylists needs a freaking RAISE! They did justice on the effect of this performance added to SF9’s talent. Believer is definitely as catchy as iKon’s At Ease, ATEEZ’ The Real and BTOB’s Finale (Show and Prove). They have come so far to clearly showcase their Sensational style as SF9. They are definitely more than just a model-like group. They’ve gained more to this than the crown itself. Also the fact that they have became close with Ikon and The BOYZ too. Can’t wait for SF9’s comeback this coming July 2021!

Madie Lee

Just love how iKON and SF9 and Tbzv became friends during the show. Sf9 waving KonBats, iKON and TBZ waving JiguBong. Regardless who won, I think this is the best thing that came up of this show. So glad it's over, they're finally free!! As for performance, iKON went back to their roots which is hip-hop. I love their performance so much! HiphopKon is back! I love how SF9 used elements of their previous performance for this last one. Very creative. The song itself is catchy. All in all I love iKON and SF9 performance the best. They're awesome. I can't wait for their comebacks!

Check out @StayAnalytics on Twitter for all of the number breakdowns for each round. They are a SKZ biased account but all of the numbers are taken directly from the show and laid out in very easy to read graphs and charts.

Rahaf

Well, a lot of people will say that SKZ win was a “popularity” BUT they forget that without the fan voting, streaming and digital even without the benefit from intro stage they STILL NUMBER 1 because SKZ points without all that^ is 11,642.241 Meanwhile all the other groups is less than 11,000.000 So, yeah SKZ deserve the win and congratulations for them❤️

Izzat Muhamad

I hope you will keep being interested in BtoB Jeff. Whether for their future comebacks or older ones. I'd really appreciate if you keep reacting to BtoB. I really glad btob participated in kingdom cuz now they're more expose to their performance side and perhaps we can hear new music as well from them. Now the members are coming back from the military. As Minhyuk said if the full btob they would've tore kingdom up. If you thought that was it for btob's vocal you're wrong. Eunkwang may be the best singer in btob (also regarded as the best idol singer by many idols) but they're full vocal line is something else. And yes Jeff hyunsik voice is that deep. Hope you keep reacting to BtoB

XSHINeeBAP

Btob as a full group are amazing!! I would love to see Jeff react to them more!

tamkan

i agree the mics for BTOB's performance was way too low.. eunkwang and changsub was straining their voices so much at the end cuz the MR was way too loud =_=

Anonymous

About that both SKZ and Rookie iKON focus mainly on hiphop. This is iKON returning to their original color. I understand that for people who only know their newest songs, this is something new but in reality this is the OG iKON.

Anonymous

If we got full BtoB on Kingdom, then they probably would’ve sang Prayer. Just imagine what a incredible performance that would’ve been if they performed that song? They refused to sing this song because it would be to difficult with just two vocalists (Minhyuk said that he won’t sing If they do that song since he has to rap)

Anonymous

Agree I could barely hear Peuni in the beginning. How is it that difficult for Mnet to get this right? You have a group whose performance focuses mainly on their vocals, yet they couldn’t make sure that those mics will work properly

Ara Godoy

Skz Changbin x Atz Wooyoung x Tbz Haknyeon friendship tho. So happy to see them together thru this show. ❤️❤️

di11961

About Ateez: I agree with everything you said. :’) Just a side note about the 사투리 (satoori): Wooyoung spoke in dialect as well. It’s cool because they used 3 different dialects in the performance (the one San/Seonghwa spoke [Gyeongsang], the one Yunho spoke [Jeolla], and the one Wooyoung spoke [Chungcheong]) and then they closed it out with Jongho speaking what is called standard Korean since he’s from Seoul and it‘s what’s used there most prominently. Hope that helps!

Rahaf

Hi Jeff, quick note about King’s voice stage did you know that Seungmin effortlessly belted that high note despite being a baritone vocalist?

Anonymous

Seungmin is a baritone? How? He has such a light tone compared to other baritone vocalists

Rahaf

I’m still amazed by him. He said that in his 4 hours vlive “18 April “
