The girls are not from I*zone, but IOI, that were the girl group formed in the first season of produce. IZONE came after this season and before PDX101

Your speculation on the 3000 votes and manipluted voting was spot on! Its something I remember A LOT of fans speculating around the time when they changed that voting rule. Also I believe it was all seasons that the voting was proven to be manipulated

The girls are not from IZONE, they are I.O.I from Produce 101 Season 1 before Produce 101 Season 2. IZONE is from Produce 48.

Justin is Chinese and he still goes by Justin now as his stage name. Some Chinese( also other foreign trainees) will just take the Korean pronunciations of the Chinese characters as their name but some will already have a different stage name already that's not korean

P101 had one trainee manipulated in this elimination and one in the final episode. Sadly all 4 seasons had manipulation but 48 and X1 were way worse

I love Justin I'm so happy for him, Nine Percent and NEXT members doing so well nowadays! Chinese trainees/idols always have the best luck and fame when they return to China, just like the Exo members, Cheng Xiao, Jackson, Wang Yibo, even Tony from P101 now on Youth With You.

this and the previous season got the least manipulation (at least, according to the articles) like Seong Hyun Woo shouldn't have gotten eliminated in this round and 1 other person was supposed to make it in wanna one (im not gonna say his name since it can be a spoiler) whereas other seasons got like more than 2 people who got manipulated throughout the show. The number of votes are really high, i can't be sure if it's manipulated or not but I don't think it's reaching too far considering the popularity of the show. it also got higher numbers than PDX that in fact got the numbers manipulated.

On elimination episodes, they usually end it after the next week's previews and show everyone saying goodbye. It's quite heartfelt especially this elimination with Moonbok and Hyunwoo as well as the fact that this is the first elimination. Just thought I would let you know for next time. Well this season was the most popular so the votes might be accurate. And it’s not just Koreans who were voting. It was also global. Wanna One remains the most iconic groups from produce. But yes there were sadly some manipulations (although least than the most recent seasons but still) sadly.

Just wanted to point out that international fans were not actually allowed to vote for this season (at least, not after the first round of voting iirc), though they were allowed to vote during Season 1. The final voting was restricted to Koreans only. But yeah I agree that this season was the most popular, it became an absolutely huge phenomenon especially in Korea so the huge number of votes might not be too far off the mark here.

funfact: Jihoon actually practiced his wink prior to the performance and was winking so many times during It's me performance (probably more than 100 times depending on how many times they filmed). That Ending shot was just one of his many winks/tries. He thought he strategically needed something that will make people remember him and he chose wink.

I've been waiting for this! Comments as I watch once again haha - BoA was actually very hands-on in her mentoring with the trainees, what was shown on camera is very little. I believe it also came to light after the show that BoA asked the editors not to show too much of herself because the show wasn't about her but about the trainees, and the trainees did say that BoA gave them tons of very helpful advice behind-the-scenes. Hong Eunki, who won the dance battle, is one of my favourite 'gems' that I discovered from Produce - he's a really great dancer IMO! That little clip of Ju Wontak saying "Ugh! Mnet!" when they're all running towards the training centre has so much meme potential, I have been annoyed for all these years that it's not the default response whenever Mnet does its usual shady sh*t The start of shoulder thug Choi Minki aka Ren from Nu'est!!!! Damn I love his personality For this first round of voting they could pick multiple trainees, and vote every single day - so the total number of votes being very high is a little more understandable

I got so frustrated because I couldn't just tell you that those girls were from I.O.I and not IZ*ONE xD IZ*ONE was the season after this one so they basically didn't exist, yet. I haven't even finished watching but I wanted to get that out of my chest :D anyway so far I'm really enojoying this but I'm kinda sad I'll probably have to wait quite a long time for your Episode 9 reaction of Produce (that's my favorite performance)

To answer your question on manipulation during this season, I’ll try not to spoil the results of the show, but still give you some of the insight. The most traumatized victim of the Mnet manipulation was actually Baekho/Kang Dongho. The show’s main producer mentally manipulated him to the point of having a severe anxiety, which on top of the evil edits (with all that jungle music, ughh) and his father’s passing during the show’s finale really almost threw him off. He received so much hate and even was accused of things he never done. He was supposed to be one of the 11 winners of the show, yet because the PDs twisted his words to their liking he got forced to be eliminated. Even though eventually the elimination turned for the better with NU’EST’s following success, the trauma caused was unimaginable (and mind you, he was barely 23 at that time), and not only that: Mnet had THE AUDACITY to almost force NU’EST to be on Kingdom (they were rumored to be in the lineup for a while), “justifying” the need for appearance by saying “you owe us for your new fame, be on our show and be evil edited again, or we’ll ruin you again”. Although I’m very thankful to become a fan of NU’EST through this show, the amount of shit my precious boys had to go through is too much to handle.

the commentators are from produce 101 season 1 and the debut name is I.O.I, Kim Sohye, Kim Doyeon and Choi Yoojung debuted while Sohee the girl with bangs with the commentators didn't debut but was fairly popular during the show.
