all of SM go to a salon called Blow in Cheongdam-dong , it has a private VIP salon area it's beautiful

Yes. A lot of artists and even groups in big companies still go to a salon. With SM, as far as I know, they have this specific salon that they go to and not just random salon everytime. I also know that SM have their own private stylists for all their artists. ☺️ It's actually really cool to hear these Idols' stories about how they get acquainted and be friends with each other because they went to the same salon. HAHA so cute. the interaction omg!! 🥰

instead of private hair & make up artists the companies usually hire them from the salon to follow the artists for some specific schedules like concerts, etc when it's needed. i know that during comebacks, they usually wake up very early in the morning like 4 or 5am to go to the salon first before going to the music show. so one make up artist usually handles several artists from different companies at the same time.

I think it's different depending on the groups blackpink for example have their own makeup stylist and nail technican for everything

About the hair and makeup thing. They usually got to the salon when it's something smaller like a tv stage, tv interview, or basic publicity stuff. But when it's a mv shoot, a big magazine photoshoot, or pre recorded concert, or nothing this big, they hire the hair stylist and the makeup artist for the day. There're few bloggers that go to those salons to have appointment with these idols makeup artist, to do their stage makeup, they are really good, but each appointment it's something like $450—$600 for hair and makeup
