Loving your reaction so far! Just wanted to mention, in case you didn't notice - the "love so fine" song playing while Suho and Jugyeong text is Eunwoo's OST!

Nova Amore

I'm loving your reactions so far! I hope you can react to either It's Okay to Not Be Okay, or Hotel De Luna for your next drama reactions (once True Beauty is done) !! (Hotel De Luna is more on the fantasy side (aka ghosts and past lives), while It's Okay to Not Be Okay is more modern (talks about different mental disorders that people have, which is probably a first for a Kdrama). *I personally really want to see your reaction to It's Okay to Not Be Okay first, and then Hotel De Luna, because of the topics that they cover in that drama)

I have 3 o'clock in the morning, but my heart told me to open the patreon

Ashley

i’m sorry i know it was supposed to be an intense scene but why did they make suho teleport from the windshield of the car to 15 feet up in the air for so long 😭

Mattie H.

I literally walked a away form my computer and shock when they got hit, but then Eunwoo just kept going......it had me dead

jennielvr_

i was fr bawling until suho went flying like that 🕴

Jenn BL

What an episode!!! My heart!! This drama has turned out to be amazing - more than expected!!!!

I agree with you that the part about asking her to quit her job was not ok and I liked that she challenged that idea. But I also think that all these miscommunications are actually closer to the reality of two adolescents that have never been in a relationship before. So I hope that they will learn from this and see their own mistakes.

Omg these episodes was an emotional roller coaster. I personally love the casting as well, they all do an amazing job at showing feeling without having to speak. Even Han Seojun’s character, when they show him observing the atmosphere between Jugyeong and Suho. I also love Moon Gayoung for the role of Jugyeong. She is an amazing actress and is really good at portraying real, girl issues. She does a good ugly cry too. Like, not halfhearted. Those last few scenes hit me so hard. I don’t know why but I get so emotional when someone that I’ve grown fond of gets in an accident. It’s like watching your best friend die or something. Great acting and directing though. That means they are doing their job, making the audience feel such emotions.

Anonymous

Also, can I just say, I love you for pointing out the subtlety and range in Eunwoo's acting? I feel like a lot of people miss it because they're waiting for the big moments, and in his most popular dramas he plays closed off characters. But you pointed it out perfectly - his eyes say what his character can't.

Yup suho is the composer remember when they were on the boat he told her she is the only one who heard it .. i think seojun knew about it from syeon .. if i were in suho's place and my boyfriend was doing what seojin did to jugung I'll be abest , jealouse , and mad .. somehow seojun without knowing it he was crossing the line , touching , playing with her , ( suho will remember what seojun told him before about loving her too ) .. suho was always telling her let's tell others about us , but she was the 1 who refused it .. he shouldn't told her to quit her job for sure but it's from his feeling that he'll lose her if she kept working with seojun , ( he don't have any experirnce in relationships ) * the accident scene omg , did u notice the difference between suho's eyes and seojun's ?? , u can feel that seojun was afraid for suho and himself so he grapped suho , but suho's was surrender look , he lost everything ,his mom, friends ( syeon +seojun) , his love, and the most painful his dad was the cause of his friend death .. now what he is living for ? Nothing , he wellcomed the death with open arms .. so the flying scene was A dramatic shot that expresses a loss of desire for life and surrender .. as much as I laughed in this ep , my heart felt heavy & sad .. all the cast were amazing ,every 1 of them did their job perfectly.. thank u for talking about Eunwoo's acting ,coz so many ppl were critisizing him and also laughed at the accident scene .. On ep9 eunwoo's ost was playing when they were at the camp when suho and jugyung were chating and saying goodnight 😜also when juguyng hit her father .. ( sorry 4 my long comment 🙈).. thank u Jeff I rly love ur reactions

ana

Honestly I do believe suho is “Leo” because he has told jugyeong that seyeon taught him how to compose and he has all those instruments in that one room. It also seems like to me that seojun is keeping it a secret that suho is “Leo” since he refuses to say anything. I do agree that whenever a new episode is released , it just keeps getting better and there is always something unexpected happening

K

Although I am team Seojun, i am pretty sure, Suho is not this obsessive in the webtoon. Yes, I could understand the jelousy but he wasn't like that when it comes to Seo jun.

Anonymous

That's because he wasn't dating Jugyeong in the webtoon. It was Seojun who was possessive when he was dating Jugyeong, telling Suho not to hang out with her and telling Jugyeong he didn't want to see them together. I think the show is transferring that to Suho because it's a first relationship stumbling block. Also, I genuinely think it makes sense here - even though Suho's method was wrong - because Jugyeong is the only one he has. That's why it hurts double when she responds, "How lucky that it's easy for you." He could cut others out for her because he had already lost them before her. (It made sense for Seojun in the webtoon too, because he knew Suho was her first love and he knew Suho still loved her too.)

eve_ss

Tbh, not considering the webtoon, this is actually a great drama ❤ I love the pacing, the character development, the side plots, and it's really becoming more interesting every episode! So I decided myself, I'm just gonna set aside my feelings for the webtoon and will just enjoy this wonderful drama ☺️

Anonymous

Oooh this episode had me getting so emotional! It really departs from the webtoon but I feel it's for the better. All the humor, the chemistry, and the feelings are enphasized here, and the pace and character development are clearly better in the drama. Thanks btw for posting it earlier, I really enjoy watching it with you😍

Why I’m Team Seojun: He is more expressive i.e. communicates his thoughts and feelings better than Suho. E.g. refusing to hear Jugyeong talk about her feelings and relationship with Suho. Instead of sitting through it, he make it clear he doesn’t want to hear it, even though Jugyeong just tells him anyway. It is also why Jugyeong speaks with more openness and honesty with Seojun. The only part she’s not so honest with Seojun is bare face. Given how Seojun thinks his sister is pretty without make-up, I would assume that he wouldn’t think very differently of Jugyeong if he does find out her about her bare face. Seojun is also someone who does nice things for people without being obvious about it. Prideful exterior but sweetheart on the inside.

Fatima

As someone who came from the webtoon, I was pissed those first few episodes because it was so different and about the fact that Seojun was not being written to be more than a friend to Jugyeong but the episodes have been getting better and I am hooked on the drama now. I also feel okay because the webtoon is still ongoing and just like some others that weren't done before their dramas, I think the creator is going to keep it going as planned. So I guess it's cool cause it's like being able to see both sides of one story could be. As for the casting, I was excited. I've loved everything I've seen Moon Ga Young in and I like her personality as well so I thought she'd do well. People were complaining about her getting casted because they thought she was too pretty to be believably ugly which I understand but I never thought Jugyeong in the webtoon or obviously in the drama was ugly even with the bare face so I guess it didn't matter to me. With Eunwoo, I feel like I'm one of the few people that defend his acting because I actually think he's a great actor, I do think that he keeps getting casted in similar roles so he has not been able to show the extent of his range but that shouldn't overshadow that what he's shown so far has been great. I don't think I've watched In Yeop in anything else but I enjoy his acting a lot, he's doing justice to my webtoon Seo Jun and he's very handsome. I agree with you that the whole cast was picked amazingly too!

strange& sleepless

I’m a girl and I don’t care about the contact name and all of that silly stuff either xD
- I definitely do think that If you got bullied and therefore have very little self esteem, you’d probably wonder why someone would like you or think that you’re not worthy enough and therefore also be scared of what other people might have to say about the relationship.

strange& sleepless

To be honest the way Jugyeong acted irritated me a little. I know that she wanted to tell him about the photos immediately but he hang up on her when he saw her dad, so it’s not her fault that she didn’t tell him the first time.
However, considering that she lied about being with seojun before and they had a talk abut it, If I was her the first thing I would have done on the rooftop is explain how those photos came to be and why she couldn’t tell him about them earlier. But she did not even consider the photos (on which they are posing very intimately) and acted like suho had no reason to be mad or suspicious when he confronted her about them.
And then the fact that she kept running away every time they were talking and that she didn’t ask Suho about him meeting Soojin even tho it obviously bothered her and therefore just creating more misunderstandings and hurt for the both of them.
And I agree with you that Suho doesn’t have the right to ask her to quit her job and all that, but I don’t think he would have done that if it wasn’t for the misunderstandings and lack of or bad communication, so I can understand where he is coming from and why he said that.

milky

I would think dating someone who is "above your league" could be challenging especially if you have a low self esteem already like female lead in this story. I think the fear is that they will cheat on you or leave you for someone that is in their league.

strange& sleepless

I really hope they'll clear up everything between Suho and Jugyeong next week and the plot will focus on something different, because those misunderstanding and bad communication plots alway make me feel angry and frustrated and I honestly just wanna yell at the screen lmao so it's not very enjoyable for me. And I'm pretty sure Suho is Leo, because like he said Seyeon taught him how to compose and stuff.

strange& sleepless

god I just noticed how many of the characters names start with S xD Suho, seojun, Soojin, Sooah, seyeon... geez

milky

The Sweet Home webtoon was already so creepy plus I read it at night so that didn't help but when I heard they were coming out with a drama I knew it was game over. Song Kang is actually supposed to be main lead in quite a few upcoming dramas this year. If you haven't checked out Love Alarm highly recommend it.

strange& sleepless

I haven't finished Sweet home but so far it's not scary at all, a few jump scares here and there but that was all. But I'm a horror movie junkie, I've watched almost every horror film in existence so it might also just be the fact that I am used to it and therefore don't get scared easily anymore. And also, have you watched Weightlifting fairy Kim Bok jo? If not, you need to check it out after true beauty. The chemistry between the lead actors is amazing imo. I also think both Moon Gayoung (jugyeong) and Eunwoo's acting is great and even that they're both versatile. Gayoung's character in Tempted was very different to her character in true beauty, and she nailed it, she gave off such a different feeling that I had a hard time believing it was the same actress. And although he didn't have a lot of scenes, Eunwoo's character in Hit the top was also very different from any of the others. Very cocky and confident and he portrayed it very well xD OKay I think that's all I have to say, sorry for writing so many comments lmao

I feel so bad for Suho in every episode.. I can't imagine being in his position. He lost his mother when he was young, he found his father cheating while this was happening, he finally found 2 best friends, Seyeon commits suicide, Seojun blames him for the death and hates him, Suho blames himself and has ptsd from it, he finds Jugyeong and is happy for a while, they break up, and now Suho finds out that his dad was one of the causes for Seyeon's death...... Like the poor boy has lost every single person he's ever loved and cared about. This is why I can understand his actions, even though some people keep saying he's possessive and obsessive, but I mean, Suho doesn't want to lose someone he loves again. Some people have mentioned it, but you can see the difference between Seojun and Suho's expressions at the end when they're about to be hit by the car. Suho looks like he's completely given up on life and that is absolutely heartbreaking... to have to lose everything and have nothing left + hating yourself for something you had no control over. Everyone else has family and friends to look out for them, but not Suho. He sees everyone's pain (Jugyeong's secret, Seojun's mom's health, Sujin's abuse from her father) and helps them even if they don't want the help, but he didn't get any of that in return. The way he reacts from his pain and trauma makes people think that he's just a cold, boring character BUT it's just that people don't bother understanding his character.

pia_universe

I didn't watched these two episodes i was waiting for your reactions coz i got spoilers and i felt like i can't watch it alone. The episode has so much feeels. Makes u laugh then sad within the span of hours. P.S. I hate the dad of suho so much. 🙃 Im sorry but i do. The sister was right.. the boys were just 18... Huhuhu omg but tho the drama is diff from the webtoon.. i like it.

Shia

i think viu's translation is better than viki (i watch it from viu). The scene where jukyung is talking about her problems with soojin and suho to seojun in the bus, there is a part where while jukyung was trying to explain the problem complicatedly, that she accidentally give an analogy "what if suho and I are dating, you and I are friends. But then you like suho too" there was a silence between them after that and seojun was like "are you kidding me?" it was soooo funny😂 but sad that it didn't get caught in viki's trans. Can we take a moment to appreciate the sister's character and her acting tho esp the ending scene god i love her so much

Sahaja

i too agree that this was a great casting as for han seojuns character they did risk and choose a rookie actor just because of his looks but the way he potrays his character makes the show the more interesting ....i just wanted to watch this drama beacuse of eunwoo he has been the forever love even before his acting as from astro but here i support has team seojun because not as per show but for real life because he has been working hard never got his value now its finnaly time for his blowup and success it is not easy to wait until the age 30 for success i hope you all root for him even if your team suho so that he can get rookie of the year award this time ..........lets just support the talent but i am not saying eunwoo not good we all know that he is good but for seojun it is all new i want succes for him ........thats so please support him guys ....

Anna M

I knew it! When I heard it come on..I thought it sounded like him but wasn’t sure

Anna M

That’s what I love about this. So much of the drama can be relatable and realistic to happen at that age of young love

Anna M

Once we were 2 episodes in and can tell it was very different than the webtoon, I decided to leave the webtoon storyline as is and also enjoy the drama for what it is since the drama has been hella good

Anna M

JuGyeong was getting to me when everytime Suho wanted to talk but would cut him off or walk away without really having an open conversation especially with what was bugging her, knowing Sujin like Suho and that she was at his place

Anna M

I swear I concentrate so much on Eunwoo’s expressions every time and am in awe. The subtle expression or movement speaks to me. 3 episodes in, I was absolutely in love with the cast! I can’t imagine anybody else playing any of them. I am honestly not familiar with Moon GaYoung’s work, only saw her in a cooking variety show she was in with Moonbin and she was very competent & simply adorable. I don’t watch the spoilers either but I feel like I should have my box of tissues on hand for the next episode 😢

Selene Ledezma

I think Episode 10 gave me even more anxiety/frustration than ep 8 lol

jeffavenue

yes and i can vouch for it if anyone tries to argue with it. i studied acting for 6 years from award winning coaches. subtlety is KEY. and eunwoo is so pro. he knows when to make it big and when to hold it back. i’ll try to elaborate it more on the next reactions if i remember lol

Selene Ledezma

I literally gasped when they got hit cause that one second pause made me think the episode was over and then boom! And yes it just keeps getting better and better!!

in japanese they say "fight-o" the same way koreans say "fighting", apparantly the term got carried down from japan :)

eve_ss

My heart is breaking for Suho. He's already suffering from guilt with the death of Seyeon, but now adding the fact that his father had indirectly caused it too, that was so devastating for him I could only imagine. That look on his eyes in the accident scene tho. He's like already giving up on his life and had already reached a dead end 💔😢

Anonymous

You will get to see more of Eunwoo's amazing acting on episode 11. Oh and you may want to consider reacting to one of Eunwoo's KDrama after True Beauty, Rookie Historian Goo Haeryung. It's available in Netflix.

Anonymous

HONESTLY, SUJIN AND SUHO LOOOOOKKK SO GOOD TOGETHER AS A COUPLE TOO 😩💜 AND OFC JUGYEONG AND SEOJUN OMG :< CANT THEY JUST BE TOGETHER IN A DIFFERENT DRAMA PLS THEY ALL LOOK AMAZING IN DIFFERENT PAIRS TOO THIS CASTING IS SOOOOOOOO GOOD

Anonymous

jeffavenue

choco Shine

Thank you for your reaction & pointing out that how Eunwoo's acting is amazing. I disliked that Suho asked her to quit the job but he said it after she refused to make their relationship public. I was bit annoyed in ep 10 coz of lack of communication & more from LJK's end. Suho told her about his insecurities but LJK literally avoided him & discarded his feelings. It was sweet to see their journey when Suho remembered their childhood days. That makes you realise that their relationship is deep. It's about baring your soul & being vulnerable thn effortless friends like Seojun & LJK. Baring soul & being vulnerable is always difficult. I do feel at times, good relationships requires work. The last scene made me cry though flying Suho was dramatic but it was poetic to see him giving up being stuck in dead & alive situation, feeling so empty & thn his tear drops in surrender. I always wanted Suho & LJK to end up but this episode made me realise that while Suho's see through everyone's pain, whether Seojun's financial issue for his mom's treatment to sujin's dad issues to LJL insecurities, nobody really saw how broken he was..It's high time someone notice his issues, his needs & LJK is definitely not doing that. In fact, no one is doing that from Seojun to sujin to LJK. He is like fixer of the show. He solves everyone's issues but can't do anything about his own. Therefore, I don't care who LJK ends with but I really want happy ending for Lee Suho. The boy deserves that much at least. He is too broken & too good for these self-centred ppl..

I have a habit of watching episodes first without subtitles and then again with you with subtitles. And I love your reactions and your explanations of acting. I showed my friend your videos in YouTube and she loved them too. This show is really good and even better when you point out things that are hard to act. I enjoy learning things from people who are passionate about their work and who have lot knowledge about things. Eunwoos acting is giving me the creeps because it is raw and so emotional. That was the thing that got me into Kdrama and into Astro. I first saw Rookie historian and noticed his acting. His way of expressing emotions through micro expressions is astounding. I have been trained to read peoples expressions really carefully as a psychiatric nurse and Eunwoo has that rare gift of expressing emotions clearly in subtle way. I hope that you are getting enough rest with your filming and editing.

Bomelo

Episode 10 was basically a "Suho is suffering" episode. Everybody is hurting him. The lack of communication annoyed me so bad, especially from Jugyeong. She doesn't want to hurt Sujin, but in the end she just ends up hurting her bf, who wants to be open with her. Seojun was a bit selfish by crossing the line, although he had his good moments in this episode.

Anonymous

I really love how they casted the characters too! The actors did a very great job, one of the reasons why I enjoyed this drama too. Their chemistry really really good 😭😭

Cinthia Ojeda

When I was younger, how he´d saved my contact information was really important. But now I don´t care, I don´t even put a heart besides his name neither. hahahaha

Samy

This episode truly broke me and I was ugly crying lol by the end at especially the car accident scene and how poetic it was and Suho's expressions of giving up on life and surrendering to the car accident like it's time for him to say good bye too he has nothing at this second no one by his side, he has helped so many others pain but no one has helped him well the people who have helped him have disappeared or are distanced with him, he is soooo broken you can literally just see it by his eyes and I've felt like so much in life I related to him so much, seriously to me one of the most heartbreaking scenes I've watched.

Anika Bhattacharya

just so you know, cha eun woo is one of Burberry's biggest global ambassadors just so u know 🥰
