Any chance we'll get an I-LAND reaction? I know you've mentioned it but I would really love to see you go through the show

jeffavenue

Im open to it but it might be awhile. im only half way through the unit and then im pretty sure after that, kingdom is gonna air. I will hold a poll after the unit to see what to do next and I will add I-land to the list! unfortunately I cant do 2 competition shows at a time because they take the longest to film :(

I do highly agree with you about the choreo and got7 are my ults. I don’t know much about their choreographers but I can say that JYP entertainment doesn’t give got7 the resources they should for success. Their one of their biggest money makers and gives them barely two weeks of promotion. (And what you saw about the boys having to promo themselves is true). So the choreo is just another reflection of that. This comeback was highkey rushed, and I’m assuming so was the choreo. As they grown older as a group and as their contract is ending JYP entertainment seems to be pulling resources away more and more. And you can see that in the choreo. Now it could also be the boys themselves. They are kind of old and might not want hard choreo but I doubt that’s the case. I hope if they do decide to renew with JYP they propose some conditions about their resources and other things. Because how they are treated as a seven year old senior group and one of JYP highest paid money makers it ridiculous.

Hey Jeff could u pls react to BlackPink Knowing Bros. If u have time that is.

Shia

cix's idol room please🥺💙

Kwanghee knows a lot because he is an idol too. He's a member of ZE:A which has like the most handsome and best idol actors (in terms of acting and remarkable projects, most awarded too) in the industry like Park Hyungsik, Im Siwan, Kwanghee himself and Kim Dongjun. I saw them once in the Philippines before, it was when they appeared on Eat Bulaga. They didn't officially disband but some of the members joined other companies to pursue music and acting and enlisted in the military. It's said despite the different agencies, they'll gather together again and come back as a group when time comes.

Anonymous

Please NCT konten too, Maybe NCT Weekly Idol, NCT Life, NCT Daily. Please Jeff Please :(

yane

Please watch Super Junior's episode next. I think Kwanghee's about to give-up being a host multiple times. lol..

Anonymous

I started watching Idol On Quiz because SF9 was on it and their episode was hilarious

Anonymous

ahh Jeff, I'm so glad you're slowly getting into Got7. They have so much potential and I totally agree with you about their choreo. If you're looking for content to really get to know them I highly suggest their show Hard Carry, you'll definitely see more of each members' personality!

Eva van Galen

It would be great if you could react to Super Junior's Weekly idol episodes next. You can really see their chaotic personalities in these episodes. So the next two episodes (ep 489 and 490) are Super junior episodes. Btw Eunhyuk one of the hosts is a Super Junior member. So poor Kwanghee was pretty much on his own trying to survive their mess haha.

The amazing thing is that this isn't even one of the funniest show appearances GOT7 did, or not even their funniest on weekly idol. They're just hilarious, the funniest idol group I know honestly. Their dynamics work great and especially the weekly idol episode from not by the moon era was just ridiculous. As an ahgase of 5 years who ults them I sadly have to agree with the choreography part, it's disappointing because they're known for their powerful performances and over half of the members could work as professional dancers aside from their idol job because theyve been dancers even before being idols. It's sad they don't get to show their full potential. About disbandment rumors, don't listen to them. People have created these rumors about them for ages, and if it wasn't about disbandment people would say certain members want to leave etc. GOT7 is one of the biggest K-pop groups, their popularity is huge and there's a large demand for them so a disbandment just makes no sense. The only thing I can imagine is their group falling apart of they decide to leave the company and don't manage to legally keep the group together - which honestly nobody could blame them for, because not just regarding this comeback there's an absolute lack of promotion from side of their company. They're awfully treated and as a fan who's watched it happening for so long I can only say, even with all the legal complications that would follow, I'd rather have them leave than stay there with how they're being managed. Jype is not doing their job at all. Anyways I loved watching this, it was super fun and getting to know their personalities is definitely worth it!

Emani

In my opinion Got7 is one of the most entertaining groups out there. This kind of bright chaotic energy can be seen in a lot of their content. Also it is normal for Mark to be on the more quiet side. The members used to tease him for his quietness, saying sharing a room with him was like getting to room by themselves, but he has become more expressive over the years

Anonymous

Got7's older variety episodes are a worth a watch if ur down lol. Just don't fall down the rabbit hole like I did. They're just too funny 😂😂

Tabea

Also Mark is indeed a more quiet person and always has been, it's just his personality. He's still very energetic though and can get loud at times. But he usually holds back

Lynossa

So happy you got into Got7! They are so entertaining! You need to watch their Hard Carry series with Mnet (Hard Carry 2 and Hard Carry 2.5 are the best; the amount of betrayal can rival running man 🤣). They are funny in variety show but they are the funniest among themselves. They really hype on each other; I love them a lot. Edit: also their while mom asleep (and subsequently while boss asleep) videos are hilarious! You can find all of them on youtube (including hard carry series)

krizhe ming

I've watched Idol on Quiz pilot episode which was with some SEVENTEEN members. It was really fun but it was obvious that the hosts and the production were somehow still getting used to the program. It was a good thing that SVT was great and adorably competitive... As for Weekly Idol, I kinda stopped watching it when Doni&Coni left as MCs but I just learned now that the new ones are Eunhyuk & Kwanhee so I might consider watching it again.

Esti Y

I'm an ahgase and I totally agree with your opinion about GOT7's Choreo! Like the quality is not consistent, especially with the recent few comebacks. There is nothing wrong with it, but for some of them, it just seems a little lacking. It doesn't bother me as much as I like their vocal and their personality, but I can totally see your point. Also! I'm happy you enjoyed the ep., GOT7 are really known for their variety show skills! I hope you can check out more shows from them in the future! GOT7's Idol on Quiz ep was one of the funniest lol.

it’s sad to say, but with the debut of new boy groups in 2021, it seems like JYPE is giving up on Got7. they seriously had the potential to be one of the top groups, but JYPE failed them :(

Nova Amore

I think that JYP isn't putting their best efforts into Got7 choreo...... Their songs are always amazing, but I've noticed that Got7 has been performing choreo that isn't the best that they can do. The hardest choreo that they have is probably Hard carry...... which was 2016 (I think).

Nova Amore

Also, do you think you can react to Enhypen's Weekly Idol episodes? I think you can get to know the members more so that you will know them more. (if you do decide to start reacting to I-Land)

kc

can you react to stray kids kids room series pls, they have kids room, one kids room and two kids room

Anonymous

Yeah.., Mark has always been a quiet one but he gets loud sometimes too... And tbh this isn’t their funniest weekly idol episode... They are just very chaotic... You can their Hard carry series ( Hard carry 2 and 2.5 are the funniest in my opinion 😂) And also watch their While mom is asleep Asmr... It was so chaotic 😂

Anonymous

Got7 was on idol on quiz too..... 😂

Doyoungismyult

I’m one of the ones who love Got7’s choreo. Too each their own though ☺️

Deon ._.

at 48:30 it's a very classic song made by JYP himself. GOT7, Gfriend, Seventeen and Twice actually covered this song in an award show in 2017 and I personally think your jaw will drop when you see vernon XD also glad to see you reacted to idol on quiz, what a good variety show that encourages interaction and fun between idols.

Lizziegreen

I kind of agree regarding Got7's choreo, especially since lullaby. I think their other choreos have some really great moments, while others just stand out in a not so good way. Kind of makes me ask 'why did they do that'. Kim Hyung Woong is one of JYP's inhouse-choreographers and he at least participated in the choreo for NBTM, but I don't know if he's done Last Piece or Breath as well. His instagram is dancerwoong. The team Look has also done a few of their choreos, like You calling my name. They talked about Got7 and other artists choreos when they were on AYO a couple of months ago. The members have some input in their choreo, and did make some changes to last piece at least. And they have choreographed for some of their songs, though I don't think you've heard or seen them yet. Yugyeom, Jackson and Jinyoung did the choreo for Poison, and Yugyeom did the choreo for Thursday, You are and Focus on me (Jus2).

Just gonna put a link to the ayo clip here, I think you'll enjoy it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVMjf25w-kM&ab_channel=AYO%EC%97%90%EC%9D%B4%EC%9A%94

Lawresha

Hi if you have not already watched it I hope you can react to straykids AAA as well as the new performance which is backdoor and TA combined lee know got a solo dance break and it just proves why he is the main dancer. (Only If you want to)

Anonymous

I really enjoy your reactions to tbz! i hope you react to them on variety shows more often since they have a lot of funny moments there

Anonymous

completely irrelevant to anyone else's deeply insightful comments lol but yes, Samsung is way more popular in Korea because it IS a Korean company. Pretty sure BTS are their official ambassadors and have their own phone line (you can see the BTS logo on the guy's phone) btw, I agree with others about this episode not being GOT7's best/funniest. I'd say it was actually pretty chill by their standards 😅

The got7 boys have such chaotic energy I always have the best time when watching their content. As for their choregraphies, most if not all the members contribute to the dance, but to different extents. For title tracks, they are created by company choreograpers (I believe for the most recent got7 title tracks it's always been the same person except for Not by the moon) and the boys sometimes give suggestions for moves to add/change, as we saw in some bts content. The only title track that I remember the boys saying they had a big involvement choreographing was If you do (mostly Yugyeom and Jinyoung). For their b-sides, it seems the members have more freedom regarding the choreography. Yugyeom, Jackson, BamBam and Jinyoung worked on the choreo to Poison (b-side in the Dye album, and also a personal favourite of mine), which, although not very hard, I really enjoy from a non-performer point of view (not sure if they were assisted by a choreographer or not tho). So the boys are involved in the choreos, at least enough that the members say that some have a certain style/preference (for Yugyeom it's footwork, for Jinyoung it's formation changes, for Jackson that "musical theatre flair"), and I can sometimes recognize some moves that "feel" like they were suggested by a certain member. Although it's not always clear how much of a choreo is their work or a choreographer's idea, overall, I think it's safe to say that the great majority of title track choreo is not the members' work, but for some b-sides their contribution is much greater (Poison, Crash & Burn and Thursday are some examples). Got7 are a group that's lucky enough to have the freedom to be involved in what they put out, although jype definitely doesn't let them shine like they deserve to. During end-year performances they get a very limited time to perform, which is ridiculous considering they are a senior group and one of the biggest names in the industry. I definitely agree with the fact that they should get a choreo that better fits their status and potential, and I hope that in 2021 they get what they deserve (in the company or not). [I'm sorry if what I wrote isn't clear but English isn't my first language]

delluna

thank you! I love watching your tbz reactions

Sarah Mae

You're right juyeon is a kdrama male lead material.. won't be surprised if someday he will have his own drama.

You should check out the Weekly IDOL episode for Got7 before this one. It was freaking hilarious! https://youtu.be/iHQynn1Yy7A

BaoziBang

SuperJunior on both Weekly Idol & Knowing Bros is the best! Please check those out!

BaoziBang

This was the first Episode with Eunhyuk as 2nd MC and it's, who would have thought, also Got7 😉https://youtu.be/iHQynn1Yy7A

BaoziBang

Samsung is also way more Common in Europe. Especially here in germany we think People with Apple products that aren't for work are pretentious.

BaoziBang

https://youtu.be/r9Gopmb9DtQ Just for context. Kwanghee was trending on Naver because People kept praying for him to survive the SuJu Episodes 🤣

XSHINeeBAP

I hope u will react to SHINee on Knowing bros or Weekly idol soon since their are going to comeback i think it would be good for u to learn more about them.

Seventeen and SF9 also have episodes of Idol On Quiz. They were part of the first guests on this show.

Fatima

Yes Got7 is always on crack. Mark is really quiet but he has his moments and Younjae mostly laughs at Jackson

Layla123

Really liked watching these with your reaction! Not very related but I want to say for me the holy trinity of funny idols on variety shows is Super Junior, GOT7, and BTOB. They've all had some truly iconic Weekly Idol episodes for example and there's just not a dull moment - they're all really witty and know how to make these shows so much fun. There are some other groups that have also had really great variety appearances - Infinite, SNSD, Apink, Seventeen for example - watching their episodes feels like it's always guaranteed to be a great time haha

eve_ss

I agree!! SNSD are the queens of variety show!! ❤ and Super Junior too!!

Katherine

The GOT7 content was a pleasant surprise! I enjoyed your reaction, and yes, they are always that hyper haha

lvna x

this was really fun, thanks :)

Could you please react to got7 pranking yugyeom on Real got7.... You need to see that episode

Anonymous

Jeff: I never expected these kind of personalities from them Me coming from their idol room episode: 👁👄👁

Julian

Got7's choreo was lacking because they were about to peace out from JYP. They were hanging on by string.

Anonymous

I get what you’re saying about got7 choreos but if you were to look at their earlier choreo compared to now... I feel like you would understand their concept more.. They started out as a group that was acrobatic based... Always flipping... So their early in the days choreo are way more difficult but I think they just found what suits them.. Based on their personality and their own personal song choices.. Seeing their choreography just makes sense... If you listen to the songs composed by them and the songs they wanted to put out to represent their brand (If jyp wasn’t poking his nose everywhere) Their choreos just make sense.. Their choreos aren’t the most difficult but it just suits the song they put out and most importantly got7 themselves... Another reason why I think a lot of group only cover hard carry cause that’s one of the only choreos that fit the kpop general image... The rest are just got7’s personal image... Idk if you get what I’m saying

Anonymous

Got7’s choreo has always been consistent on this level, I would say this is what a lot of 3rd gen boy groups have been doing but they have also been in the game for the a long time. The once very innovative and creative choreography isn’t as innovative and creative when newer groups come out and take it up a notch. I respect that the pacing has always been the same in my opinion. There isn’t one that’s more intense than the other and if there is it would be Hard Carry.

yuna (유나)

Hey Jeff! 4 NCT members also participated in Idol On Quiz, I hope you'll have time to react to them :)
