I clicked on it as soon I received the notif. HAHAHA. Can I also request if you can react to Wooseok's web drama "Twenty Twenty?" It currently has 12 episodes, including the one that will be uploaded earlier. Since Jaehyun's drama won't be airing soon. Hoping you can react to it too. 🙏🙏

you should react to extracurricular, there’s only 10 episodes but it’s one of the best dramas imo (along with itaewon class & sky castle; you should also check those out) ✨

In response to your question about whether a "Gangnam beauty" is a good thing or a bad thing, it's basically a bad thing. It means someone who's obviously gotten plastic surgery. In this case, excessively or someone who has changed their entire faces. The Gangnam part comes from the fact that a large portion of plastic surgery is done in Gangnam, so in their words, it's a kind of beauty that you can see everywhere in Gangnam because of all the plastic surgery. Mirae's parents don't know what it means so they just took the "beauty" part and ran with it, which is funny but kind of heartbreaking :(

oh wow thanks for this context! it puts that scene in a different way wow.

Someone already informed you about Gangnam beauty. Anyway, both TA & Do Kyung seok try to show themselves better in front of each other. TA was like I taught him how to do so & so work & Eunwoo aka do Kyung seok was like I can drink more. I see them more like siblings thn rivals😂. This episode, kind of also highlights that though Eunwoo come out as a person not controlled by his emotions, he has been taking very good care of his sister in absence of both parents (in mom's case physically & in dad's case emotionally). Mi rae parents are so much fun to watch especially their reaction to Eunwoo. Many can relate with dad's how can person be so handsome, it's cheating haha. Mi Rae though knows true colour of that vamp but she still has to work a lot on her self esteem & worth before standing for herself.

Glad someone covered the Gangnam Beauty context (which also explains the title of the show!) but there's a funny/sad scene later on that'll do so as well. The rivalry between Woo Young and Kyung Seok is a little silly, but it's also adorable to see DKS get his feathers ruffled because usually nothing fazes him. And yes, it's about time Mirae saw Sooah for who she really is! She just needs to see herself in the right light, too.

Can you please watch Just Dance, it is about 18 year old girls that try to succeed in the world of dance sport.

Being called a Gangnam Beauty is not really a good thing, it means that the girls in Gangnam all look the same/similar because they all get plastic surgery there because theres a lot of clinics there as its a rich place so it can mean that Gangnam is full of "plastic monsters" but Mirae parents thouight it meant that shes a Rich Beauty because Gangnam is a wealthy place

Soo ah is always playing a villian in every drama .

I continue to love the relationships in this drama! So many of them focus solely on the romantic relationship and they basically throw everything else, friends, family etc out the window, but here we get developed friendships and family bonds and it's really refreshing! Like I said about the previous episode, even the "romantic rivals" Kyung Seok and Woo Young are just... kind of petty and jealous in small ways but don't actually go out of their way to be total and complete assholes to each other and they don't actually fight over Mi Rae as if she's some kind of prize to be won. I loved the little touch where Kyung Seok repeats the "brush your teeth" line to his sister, it's adorable. Everything about Kyung Seok, Kyung Hee and CEO mom breaks my heart but also fixes it at the same time? Like everything about their situation is so believable. Kyung Hee's response to suddenly seeing her mom again and Kyung Seok saying that he just wants all of them to stop hurting now and CEO Na being so adamant that everyone else can think whatever they want, but her children should know the truth, even if it doesn't change things. But it does, as we see from Kyung Hee's response! Context does matter, even if you can't change things that have happened. Speaking of that family, I burst out in tears in the scene where Kyung Seok finally calls her "mom", like every scene before that, she has been referred to either as "that woman/person" or her full name and just... bless you, writers. And that last scene... oh boy. Like even the detail of Soo Ah standing on a higher step on the stairs! She's also a really well written antagonist bc while we as viewers know she's being a huge bitch, she always toes the line in public? Like we can see it when Kyung Seok has scolded her/called her out, everyone else has been like "what the hell is his problem, she didn't do anything wrong" bc she's so good at hiding her true meaning/intentions so that if someone calls her out about it, she has plausible deniability. And Mi Rae, finally standing up for herself! She shows that she really isn't stupid, that she has sensed the animosity from Soo Ah, but has actively chosen to believe that it isn't true, and now finally let go of that notion. Speaking of Mi Rae and her ideal type; I feel like that comes from the same insecurity that she has had her whole life because of her looks. She doesn't want attention, be it positive or negative, she just wants to be "normal." Like obviously she has already seen the attention Kyung Seok and Soo Ah get when they even sit together, and she has experienced it too. I feel like that is also a part of why she tries to hard to deny the fact that Kyung Seok likes her. My comments keep getting longer, I apologise...

there are so many Kdramas that are just so incredibly frustrating. Thankfully this one is nothing like that, it's really enjoyable

it's interesting to learn about your take on the grocery shopping situation. between my parents, it's my dad who does all the grocery shopping & cooking, because mom works for more hours a day, so I interpreted eunwoo's lacks differently. to me, it was evident that she knows to do all those things because she grew up in a normal household, whereas he doesn't because he's rich (so houseworkers do those things for him) and his father doesn't really care anyway.

jeffavenue

ahh yeah the rich vibe also plays a huge part thats true! the whole dads the one working is very engraved in the asian culture as a stereotype
