It's gonna be a full album with 8 songs, including the english version of the title track Smoke and yes, Dandelion and Roses are two seperate songs! He was heavily involved in the making of this album, from having credits as co-writer and/or composer on each track, with the lyrics of Dandelion and Can't Get You (which got a dedicated fashion film sponsored by Prada and Esquire KOR btw!!) being entirely written by him, to leading the overall creative direction for the album. During the release of Horizon he talked about how he studies everything about the songs/artists he loves, like who's behind the magic and what influenced them etc. And seeing how he's now working with the producers, who shaped the R&B sound he enjoyed as a teen (like Babyface on Can't Get You), as well as artists/producers of more modern R&B (like Azad Right from Emotional Oranges) and making real R&B magic himself, you just know how seriously he takes his craft. I'm just so proud of the artist he became over the last years. He truly was born to sing this genre, it fits him and his voice like a glove! The album is called J, because he's the habit of "branding/marking" his things with a J and this album is 100% him :) He's gonna release a two part documentary about the progress of making this album, where we'll probably also get a peak at his recording sessions. Part 1 is gonna drop on the 21st and the 2nd part will be released after the title track on the 27th.

Jaehyun is truly the definition of an all-rounder!! Like legit! He can sing (main vocalist material), dance (amazingg), rap (so cool), write songs (his pen game 🔛🔝) + his visualsss 💯 I'm so so proud of him! He's heavily involved in creating his solo album and it was so special. This was sooo Jaehyun 💚 Been waiting for Dandelion to be released and finally it's here!!! The mv was so cute too. He's such a hopeless romantic! reminding me when he said before that if he's not an idol then he'd probably be a teen dad. He really loves kids 😂 Btw I'm not sure if it came across your feed but this was the one he sang live together with Lauv in one of those like festival in Korea 💚 Also, danggg, Roses was such a good song!! The lyrics tho. Heartbreak anthem!!! And that "I'm triggered every year Valentine" the fact that his birthday is literally on Valentines too. I'm like girl ,whoever you are, why did you do that to him 😭 Would really love to see your reaction to the full album together with these 2 songs (full ver). Jaehyun's solo discography is one of my faves. I loved every song he released so far. It's sooo my style 💚

Love it! His voice, the production, the aesthetics, everything is just so good and if you watch part 1 of “the Journey of J,” he’s heavily involved in the creative direction, lyrics and composition of the songs… I hope you’ll react to Can’t Get You and the highlight medley too when you have time. Idk how we’ll survive when Smoke and the album comes out!

Thank you for this reaction! I am really loving Jaehyun’s musical direction. I can’t wait to hear the full project!! I am also curious why you did not post anything about Doyoung’s solo project at all? You have never mentioned it, or talked about it. I was so excited to see your thoughts on the songs (especially his pre-release called “Beginning”). I also thought the album would be something you would have enjoyed. You have reacted to every other NCT solo. Did you not enjoy his project?
