Sophie was alone.

Yet it was rarely quiet for her. Her mind was often a carousel of noise - deductions, questions, conclusions, ambitions.  Yet amidst it all, the question of the tiny woman in the next room had blossomed in her mind, taking root.

"You know, if you've got so many questions about how it feels, what it's like, tests to perform and all that. Why don't you use that device on yourself? You can see that its safe."

It brought to the fore rumblings the scientist had often had herself. During the many late nights working on this device; she would be lying if she hadn't considered the notion. It was her work, her genius; that had brought this unprecedented technology into the world. Sophie had goals for this technology, she didn't create such a marvel purely because she could - nor had she intended this to be used as a means of kidnapping overly curious women...

And yet, the simplicity of being shrunk just to experience it was something that had danced in her mind for many months. Of course, it hadn't been safe to test on living things for long stretches - and even in its current form it wasn't wholly approved. Still, it appeared Maisie's curiosity had accelerated human testing.

And so, as the redhead regarded her prized invention she was confronted by Jenna's question, and the knowledge that it was indeed safe now... Well, as safe as she could possibly conclude given the evidence.

It had been a stressful several weeks, and today had been the strangest of her life. Sophie had done things she hadn't thought she was capable of, and the truth of that swelled the old thoughts and curiosities of her mind.

No, it had all been too much. Too stressful. She deserved this.

The woman reached down and lifted the device into her hands. Now, it was in the hands of its creator - not some hapless young woman who likely thought it a toy of some kind. She navigated its less than intuitive interface with ease, she could feel herself as the verge of trembling.

Sophie wanted to experience her genius firsthand, and now she could.

Yet she wasn't about to put herself at risk, she knew that reducing herself to a size where restoring herself would be difficult or navigating the environment was a challenge would be foolish. No, she didn't need to be as small as her two guests...

Besides, it wasn't about being as small as she could. It was about the experience.

Sophie adjusted her settings and paused for a moment on a specific entry. The one that would encompass all material or just that of organic matter...

Her decision was quick. The experience was what she wanted, and the sensation of dwindling into her sleepshirt was part of that.

Her scientific mind was ablaze as well, there would be so much to take from this. Yet, at the end of this tiring day, her desires were more raw.

She found herself standing in front of the mirror, taking in the sight of her. Sophie was around 5'7 - but that was about to change.

The redhead held out her hand, and she applied pressure to the trigger. Light erupted in front of her, and she felt an exhilaration that had been building in her for years.

The light faded quickly, but the shine of her excitement did not.

At first, there was nothing. Just her anticipation.

Then, she felt it.

It was subtle, yet her senses were heightened and so the micro-shifts were as loud as thunder to her.

The skin of her soles inching across the wooden floor, the fabric on her shoulders drifting outwards, the fabric of her sleeves dancing across her, the hem sinking ever so slightly. Beneath her sleepshirt, she was naked, and so felt an expansive roominess around her hips and waist.

Each and every sensation was like a validation of her brilliance.

Sophie Shaw was shrinking - and yet she had never felt more powerful.

Interesting! I thought she might do this, but was reluctant to think she would with already having to deal with the 2 already. I wonder where you will take this!
