"Look who it is, Lisa. Its Aubrey." The 'nurse' mocked.

The 'schoolgirl' took it further. "Are you sure it's her, Chloe? Are you sure this isn't a big bad witch?"

The girls were known to Aubrey - a dynamic duo of bullies; just her luck. Their words were biting and laced with condescension. The shorter girl was losing her temper. "Would you two get out of my way?"

"Got somewhere to be, little Aubrey?" Came Chloe's reply. "Isn't it past your bedtime?"

Lisa laughed. "Haven't you had enough trick-or-treating for the night?"

Aubrey's fists tensed. "I'm warning you two..."

Chloe didn't even let the 'witch' finish. "Did you hear that? She's warning us."

"I'm terrified. What're you going to do, Aubrey? Cast a spell on us?"

The shorter girl made her decision. Halloween was one of her favourite nights of the year, and she wasn't going to let these two ruin it. "Thats exactly what I'm going to do."

The two older girls laughed relentlessly at that, bending forward to almost pen in their prey. "Maybe you can conjure up a better costume."

Aubrey grinned. "Good idea. Let's see if I can..." The dark haired girl reached into her bag and withdrew her masterwork. Before the taller girls could offer up some chiding remark, the witch waved it briefly. "Abra-Cadabra..." Then her fingers slammed into it, as a light flared, engulfing the taller women.

They each flinched, their vision blurring for a moment - and when it came back into focus, their perspectives had shifted wildly.

Aubrey just delighted in the effectiveness of her device - this never got dull.

"Oh no." She said, dripping with sarcasm. "My spell didn't work. I wanted a cool costume just like yours but... they look a little small for me."

Fear. Shock. Terror. Anger. All of these spilled forth from the shrinking women.

"In fact, you're looking a little small yourselves and... what-do-you-know, you're still shrinking!"
