Deities - The Baron - Lore PDF (Patreon)

Hey folks!

Today’s blog update adds yet another deity to the fold of our ongoing pantheons articles. This month, we present the Baron in all his horrific glory! No, not THAT Baron, not the floating fat man… but THE Baron, the deity of the First House who is known as the King’s loyal dog, who unleashes terror upon those who stand against the First House. Oh, he’s also pretty much the de facto deity for most members of the Tyrants’ Guild, and we sure do like to showcase those jerks!

The Baron is something of a caricature “evil” deity but done in a way that he was a useful tool of the First House. In his mortal life, the Baron unleashed unspeakable acts upon the barbarians of Terleem, eventually bringing much of the continent to heel. From there he acted as a weapon of the King into the middling days of the Empire before he ascended along with the others of the First House.

Useful for those pesky members of the Tyrants’ Guild or for your run of the mill “evil priest” the Baron is a deity that works best on NPCs, but could work for an edgelord PC you just really want to try out. Enjoy this new lore. I promise our next deity will be something a little less oppressive…
