“But what about the glubleglab?”

The moment Oran uttered those gibberish syllables, I wanted to make Zoran regret them. And lo, the gelbet was born, originally called the “gargantuan gelbet” before Thurston told me I’m not allowed to use the word ‘gargantuan’ in the name. Thurston is mean.

As our latest releases and episodes prove, everything in the Solitude can kill you (and probably wants to). This includes the very ground beneath your feet thanks to the gelbet. Whether secret and sticky or spored and ‘splody, suffering is all but certain. Thanks, Oran. Thanks.

Of course, if something exists in an environment, the local residents will find some way to make it work (I’m looking at you, hákarl). That’s why the Twangfolk create bracelets, potions, and bombs: both to remove it from their immediate surroundings and to gain the items’ hefty benefits.

This release contains stat blocks for two hazards and three items. If you inflict these on your own game, I’d love to hear about it! Tag me on our Discord telling me who it killed. If you need a spare swamp map, check out our campaign assets from Episode 14!

I can’t believe it’s been over a year since we started dreaming up this world together. I love working with this team and can’t wait to share even more of what we’re making with you, our incredible fans. Your kind words, fanart, and memes make all the hard work worth it.

Until next time!
