I find that when I'm going through a period of dissociation (which is, thankfully, quite rare these days), my sense of the passage of time will be very much distorted. It will be Monday, then I'll go to sleep and wake up six weeks later. This is not helped by the fact that, during these periods, I lose weeks of memory at a time and find it almost impossible to tell the difference between reality and dreams/hallucinations. Also, very excited for the book! I've just realised that I hadn't said that yet.
