Our development plans

Finally, it is done!

Last week our technical department has published “The Goblins’ Curse” v. 1.0.1. We have tried to address most of the players’ concerns and catch maximum bugs.

Great job, technical department! Let’s applaud the guys! They worked hard for the sake of us all.

But now our tech. dept. completely postpones all further work on “The Goblins’ Curse” until we start integrating this part into the main game. We continue to collect your feedback and bug reports, but from now on all our resources will be focused on resuming the work on the first episode of “Iris’ Quest”.

Episode 1. “Iris bint Maslab Changes Profession” (working title)

In it our young ex-bandit will be involved in a whirlwind of terrible events the beginning of which you could have seen in the game intro we published earlier. The quiet life of Iris will change dramatically…

Now together with the whole team we’re clarifying a couple of technical and conceptual issues of the next game episode. And here, our good friends, you could help us a little by participating in choosing the content.

The beauty contest.

As the players of existing parts of “Iris’ Quest” might have noticed, our game is known for numerous… shall we say… cameos of famous heroines of the world popular culture. Gorgeous girls from various games, cartoons, comics, movies continue to make their appearance in our game.

With the deepest respect for these heroines (and their copyrights) we are putting them in different… shall we say… funny game situations.

For these roles we’re picking best of the bests. And today you’ll be able to participated in choosing them too.

Tell us, which lovely beauties do you want to see in our game?

We can’t promise, though, that we will accept each of your proposals and put each of your beloved babes into the game.

But we will consider every incoming proposal carefully!

So, don’t hesitate making you suggestions in comments or support the choice of others! Before making your call, not only pay attention at the girl’s beauty and popularity, but also make sure she hasn’t made an appearance in “IQ” before.

This will help our work greatly! Thank you in advance!

And, of course, our regular column.

Q&A

Q: I was wondering if the girls from the minigames are only present there or those 4 will be around till the end? Obviously Iris is, but Velma, Chiel and Lara?

Q: I would like to express my hope that Lara Croft is in more of the game here and there, even if not a central roll.

A: Let’s say that we have some plans for these heroines. That’s why, as you probably noticed, their story doesn’t look like a completed one.

Q: Btw, some picture displaying a happy winner and a beaten loser practically asks to be added after a fight sequence. Did you plan on doing something like that?

A: Yes, we planned it and even had time to do it for the monsters. After losing they look beaten and the girls just look sad.)

Q: Do the characters’ stats actually differ? From my experience, during the fights between Velma and Larisa, Velma always wins for some reason, all things being equal. That’s a bit unusual.

A: The game is already surrounded with some baseless rumors about different characters being stronger in battle and faster at the races. It happens that the bigger part of these rumors is about Velma. But we haven’t tweaked her up, honest! Looks like the gods of random just love her because she’s such a sweetie.)

Tech Dept. note. Ok, well, looks like our big secret was exposed and there’s no point in denying it any longer. Actually, “The Goblins’ Curse” has a built-in artificial neural network. It secretly analyzes your play style, measures a ton of parameters, makes some complex calculations in the background and finally finds a perfect match for you from the pool of the the game heroines. So, if during your playthroughs some girl wins more often than the others - our congratulations! It’s worth noting that our neural algorithms are very precise and objective. And they could know more about you than you do!

Now, let’s get serious.

Who wins most often?

There are rumors that some of the race participants (NPCs) in “The Goblins’ Curse” win a lot more often that the others.

First of all, as we said earlier, we haven't tweaked anybody’s winning chances in any way! All the NPCs in the game are equal before the Great Random! But the rumors about the one or the other ‘pony’ continue to circulate. Say, “she’s miraculously lucky and always comes first!”

Hm… Well, to check if such an imbalance truly exists, we decided to make a poll and ask a single question: “If you think than a particular ‘pony’ obviously wins more often than the others, who is she?”(link: https://www.patreon.com/posts/no-2-22805782)

Later our analytical and science departments will study the results of this poll carefully.

P. S.: “Scarface Pony” doesn’t count for obvious reasons. We all happily backed her up.
