It's neat how you said you could hear Wendy doing Dead Man Running, Seulgi even said she'd like to hear Wendy's version of it! Ha your Twitch people told you! I dunno if you ever heard Wendy sing a littttttle tiny snippet, when Seulgi was on her radio show she was talking about what part she liked in that song, and she said it was her favorite song on the album as well, like the last line of the chorus. Anyway! Seulgi - vocal slayer, main dancer - you said it. She is so iconic! I think of Anywhere But Home as fitting in with a vibey new disco vibe, I was a HUGE Jamiroquai fan, I mean - still, but idk I haven't listened in a long time - and it takes me back to that moment. Jamiroquai, Daft Punk, other artists that all vibe in that element. It's so chill and vibey vs bright - I think there are a lot of artists inspired by that direction in the late 90's into the 00's with American Boy being on the late side as far as those things go. I feel like anywhere But Home is Seulgi genre, but I can feel an inspiration from similar origins if that makes sense. The reaction when it moves from the intro is yeah exactly how I feel. haha And the react to the drop in Los Angeles - YES. It's everything. I know there are some folks who just don't like EDM and didn't like it but for me, even though I have never had an EDM phase hahaha - it cut through. Her execution is perfect with the buildup and then the drop is so cooooool. It sounds so gritty and dark - and the final drop with the extra vocals? YEAH. And the flow through Bad Boy Sad Girl through Los Angeles into Crown is soooo perfect - we've got these 3 floaty vibey tracks that move us through the album so well. The way that Crown brings us back into that dark powerful zone that leads into 28 Reasons sooooo perfectly... ah. And her vocals. And it was in consideration for a title track as well! I agree that the feeling is too slow and she also wanted something to give a more exciting dance performance and she could see that more with the 28 Reasons demo and I feel like that is perfect. CLOSE YOUR EYES WHEN I'M WITH YOU! <3 And it closes with just her voice. Like NO SKIPS and perfect to just LOOP. I feel like Bad Boy, Sad Girl is the "weakest" but like - it's still so cute and it's GOOD. Anyway, glad YouTube showed me your short so I would know I need to run over here for this album react! Anywhere But Home was my initial instant favorite, but idk Crown and Dead Man Runnin' also are coming for me and then again there's Los Angeles and the TITLE TRACK too so idk. hahahah all SO GOOD. I never mind when a react like this is "late" because I always feel like the community as a whole has moved on too soon, even though that is so silly because what more is someone going to do but react to her debut, right? But because I already binged everything I feel like wow... .but what about Seulgi's debut, it's so good - so when more reacts like this come in a little later it is so satisfying to revisit and be reminded of how incredible her album is and the impact she made with this debut. <3 So thank you for still doing the react even if you felt like it was late, I knew it was coming!!!
