Hey guys! First off, apologies for the delays here, also to patrons who are pledging under $5 here since they couldn't see the weekend update. As it consisted of animated previews I've set it as a $5 tier post and should have probably seperated text and content to two seperate posts.

I've gotten pretty sick over the weekend and had to take it easier for a few days, guess constantly pushing 80h weeks is taking its tribute. Nevertheless I managed to efficiently use the time and render a large amount of frames for the new animation. Good news is that by now there are around 4000 frames rendered. Not so good news is there are roughly 3000 more to go, and then there's an elaborate post production pipeline I have to go through. You can probably tell by these numbers that this is going to be the longest, most elaborate animation yet (and that my external 4TB HDD ran full). Dividing 7000 frames by 30FPS brings us to 233.33 seconds, and after editing, the animation will probably be anywhere around 3:30 to 4:00 in total runtime.

I know that no one ever asked me to do an animation this long, but after seeing the incredible increase of pledges here I felt like I wanted to push myself and do something bigger for those supporting me, especially since the last animation was barely longer than a minute. Sadly, as it's the case with all quality work, it's taking a decent amount of time. I already torture my workstation rendering frames 24/7, and despite potent hardware, most image sequences take many hours to fully render. This isn't because of a lack of hardware power, or optimization, but more because of the sheer amount of frames and runtime of the animation. I know that people are waiting (and paying) here, which is why I'm trying to work as efficient and fast as possible. Nevertheless it will still take at least a week to finalize this new animation, as there's still a decent amount of work to be done.

I'll keep everyone updated with another set of preview animations, as well as images soon! Once rendering of all the base frames is finished I'll send the animation to Monsterchow, who'll provide the sound work for this. Can't really tell how long he'll need for this, but last time it was roughly a week, even though that animation was a lot shorter. I'll make sure to keep an efficient workflow and do the entire post production while the sound work is being done. I absolutely want to put this out this month, which is why I'm currently dedicating 100% of my time to finalizing this!

Hey ^^. Maybe a SLI of GTX1080 would be more efficient than one GTX1080TI ? With two 1080 you got 16gb of Vram. And in your past post, you said Vram is conditionning the render time ... ?

I appreciate all the work you're going through OwO Kind of gives me a new perspective about the whole animation thing- 4TB?! FULL?! All the computer's I've ever owned doesn't equal to that much space!

You take as much time as you need, Cake. I appreciate all the hard work you've been putting into this animation, and who knows? Maybe the large animation will be the biggest hit yet! Then people will want more of them, hehe. Feel better soon!

I'm sure that the wait is all worth it :D , so all the power to ya!
