My favorite of Wes Anderson! (Grand Budapest and Royal Tenenbaums are close seconds) The ending is so good. You can tell when Miss Cross takes off Max's glasses she see's her husband looking back at her for a split second.

Great reaction as always, I'd only seen this one once and enjoyed it even more the second time. Olivia Williams (Miss Cross) isn't in any other Wes Andersen films sadly but she was in one of my favorite films of 2020 called THE FATHER recommend that one for ya, Also Jason Schwartzman is the lead in this he's in seven of Anderson's films

What a strange, great movie. Totally agree that Wes Anderson's style feels to appear here basically fully formed. Even at their most twee and stylistic, all his films are enjoyable. Darjeeling next I think? His most underrated movie imo. The guy you thought sounded like Owen Wilson is Andrew Wilson, the secret third Wilson brother haha. At age 18 this was Jason Schwartzman's (Max) first major film role and started his career. IMO This is the movie that really made Wes Anderson a big name in film - imagine watching this in 1998 with no reference for what Wes Anderson's signature style is. Then he followed up with Tenenbaums, then Steve Zissou. Incredible run.

Great reaction, great film! Bill Murray is hilarious in this lmao. Jason Schwartzman is actually kind of a regular in Wes Andersons films being in 6 of the now 11 films that he has made. If I'm correct with what you've already seen, next up should be The Darjeeling Limited. Saw it a couple years ago and thought it was good. Excited to watch again soon.
