****Update for those following: Turns out it was actually a setting in the game itself, I had to turn the option for "High Frame Rate Mode" to off because OBS/the capture card only has the capability to go up to 60fps and the game was exceeding that

Let's get the bad news out of the way first: I still haven't been able to record Ragnarok gameplay yet.

But the good news is that I've finally discovered the issue isn't actually related to OBS or the capture card but is actually the Ragnarok disc I have (another reason to add to the list of why I hate ordering things from Amazon). I tested recording with a bunch of different games and they all work fine but for whatever reason when the Ragnarok disc gets put in it glitches the PS5 and as a result the recording as well. Also explains why the problem popped up right at the start before I even began playing. I'm in the process of getting a replacement and hopefully that solves the issue. Sorry there's no upload again this week!

That sounds like a very weird issue, I assume you've probably checked but could it maybe be due to some of the settings on the PS5 instead of the disc? I think I remember seeing something about certain PS5 settings messing with capture cards at one point.

Thanks for the update! Hope all the frustration getting that working dissipates now that you've figured things out so you can just enjoy the experience.
