Regardless of the confusion and the bittersweet, this-was-all-a-dream final twist, I think we can all agree that this is one of the best series finales of all time. Sam Esmail, how did your mind come up with this masterpiece?

Iv mentioned it before but Sam Esmail is working on a remake of the 1927 film Metropolis would be awesome to get a reaction to that before the remake comes out

A couple fun facts: The season 3 finale used the song “Intro” by M83 and the season 4 finale used their song “Outro”. Beautiful little bookend for the final arc. The scene in the arcade was the exact same scene from Season 1 episode 4 but back then it cut before Angela said “mastermind”. The whole scene including the “mastermind” dialogue was shot during season 1 and Sam Esmail waited to show the whole thing until the finale

On the musical bookends, another one is Neil Diamond's 'If You Go Away" used in episode one, and the French song that inspired it Jacques Brel's "Ne Me Quitte Pas" is used in the last episode. I love the attention to detail in the show and the internal reflections and distortions all the way along. Rewatching is definitely worth it.

This was possibly my 7th rewatch with you of the series, and no matter what, that last monologue by The Mastermind brings me to tears. Such a perfect ending to a perfect show and theres never gonna be anything close to this again. I HIGHLY suggest a rewatch soon as it becomes a brand new show the second time around. Also this was first supposed to be a movie, everything in the finale was planned out from the beginning and it shows when you go back and watch it over again. I'm so glad we got 4 seasons instead of just two hours.

Another show I can highly recommend is STATION ELEVEN its a miniseries just 10 episodes that came out last year, I was completely floored by the quality, each episode felt like movie quality and I feel like it dosen't get enough attention, also very emotional like Mr Robot I feel like anyone who's a fan of the technical aspects like cinematography, lighting, directing, music would be a fan

I couldn't have imagined a better ending. And you're absolutely right: it is the most rewatchable show! I loved picking up clues while rewatching it and there's also a lot of little things I understood better.

having the character we've been watching be a hacker in 2 ways, one being physical computers and one being the mental hacking of Elliot's life is genius. LOVED your connection to whiterose's ultimate personal goal being the same as the masterminds. your very right with how rewatchable this show is, from the reason the masterminds first encounter is a child trafficker, to direct scenes being replayed out in the finale, so many of elliots connections are recontextualized. glad you loved it so much, defiinitley gratifying as a fan to see you go through what we all have before.
