You’re halfway done after the transition to Abby’s POV. You probably picked up on this, but the game is about the cycle of revenge. Neil Druckmann was born in Israel and his inspiration for Part 2 was the Israel and Palestine conflict. Presumably, the militaristic WLF are supposed to represent the Israelis and the Scars represent Palestinians.

Jay Willis

I had a darth vader "Noooooo" yell when your camera went out right before THE scene. lol. Glad you chose to pause when you realized it was important, haha.

He was spot on with his prediction when Jesse told Ellie what he wanted to do when they arrived back in Jackson.

Kevin Anand

Absolute worst timing on that camera lol.

Maybe we should all let him play the game before telling him what it's supposed to be about, the director's inspirations, how far into the story he is, etc. Brandon clearly likes to go into things as blindly as possible and come away with his own interpretations.

I don’t think anything I said constitutes as a spoiler or is unreasonably revelatory about the themes. He stated he knew he was about halfway done. Naughty Dog’s description of the game and material that comes with the game says it’s about the cycle of violence, so it’s not inappropriate to discuss this (obvious) theme after we see the Abby flashback.

Any idea of what game you'll play next, I would love to see you try Elden Ring

J. Valentine

I think he should play more games like this, that are close to being a movie. Probably God of war or Ghost of Tsushima

Love your commentary on the story and the characters!! As always. And how open you are to wherever the story goes. Can't wait for next episode already :)
