I love all the flashback parts we get. even though they leave me feeling bittersweet, I appreciate that we get more Joel. Those moments where he tries to connect with Ellie is cute.

Ooh a day early! Ya spoil us! I love the writing of that Joel and Ellie scene, its one of my favorite scenes in the whole game. Ellie is questioning Joel but she isn’t like “You’re lying”, she’s just trying to make sense of everything, while still believing that Joel’s telling her at least part of the truth. Its tough to see him shut her down like that. Loving the play through!

The stalkers in this game are terrifying

There are journal entries in the flashback. The one I recall is Ellie discusses her relationship with her previous girlfriend, Cat, and how everyone in the town knows they’re dating besides Joel. (Edit: I found the video for all of the journal entries in the flashback. I’m sure you’re probably a few hours ahead in the game, but just in case, do not watch past 2:38 because there are additional entries from a little later on in the game. https://youtu.be/V0r64LIDJxE) In regards to the bloater, its death is scripted - Joel saves Ellie that way every time. It’s impossible to kill it yourself. Speaking of scripted, the WLF deserters attacking you at the workbench scares everyone. On subsequent playthroughs, I set trap mines to kill all of them before they can attack. Remember to melee glass and not waste your bricks and bottles when possible. This will prevent scenarios like you came across today where you were trying to enter the locked room and you had to waste a bullet.

I know you mentioned it in part 10, but then you continued to keep your flashlight on. I think only certain types of infected are blind, but humans definitely see it. You're gonna have a much easier time of stealthing if you turn that off.
