The actress who played Kim's mom was really well-cast. Her appearance and voice are similar to Rhea Seehorn's. I almost thought it was her doing the role.

I was fascinated by Kim's last words before Jimmy calls to let her know about the judge's broken arm. She is practicing her speech and she says "A justice system that works for everyone -- what is more important than that?" I guess we find out right away: the con is more important than that. And it will be her downfall. Jimmy always knew when to fight another day. Also of note: as they leave the apartment complex on the morning of D-Day, they show a shot of Kim and Jimmy's apartment with a big metal wire X (like a gun sight) pointed right at their apartment across the way. They are in the sights of Fate or maybe just Bad Choice Road (and then she flips a U Turn back onto Bad Choice Road).
