I hope Brandon has had a chance to watch The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst before Sunny 12x5, but 12x5 I imagine would still be great even if you didn't see what it's heavily playing off of, anyway.

Anyone notice how Charlie, despite being the most different of the cast (I'm sure molestation, his mom being a prostitute, and being given glue that he sniffed as a child had a role), literally went from his scheming in the Mac Bangs Dennis' mom episode, to getting his head bashed in with a beer bottle, etc. in the Million Dollar Baby, plus heavy doses of oral anabolics... and then he was forever stupider? He still has his scheming moments or his intelligent moments, but he consistently had a noticeable change exactly before and after the episode where he gets his head beat in to toughen him up.

Ah, the Snyder version. That's a really well made take on a classic. Also has one of my favourite Canucks, Sarah Polley. Check out Atom Egoyan's The Sweet Hereafter for another great performance.
