Omg I've been waiting for this for so long. The songs are so catchy and I find myself coming back to listen to them. Dennis' high notes kill me. Also the fact that Charlie Day wrote these just amazes me. I know he has a lot of musical talent but man, so underrated

My brain forgets plenty of useful information.... yet I can sing along to every word of this episode. So god damn amazing.

Luckily they gave us some behind the scenes for this episode >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10s5Ynxyfas

I hate that out of all the songs in the great songs this episode, the one that ALWAYS gets stuck in my head is Frank's song under the bridge.

Justin Feldman

I love this episode, but I also love Quantum Leap. I freaked out when Scott Bakula showed up, and even more when he started singing

Quality episode. I love how this show has routinely had commentary episodes (gun control, social media, sitcoms/award shows, afro-american-centric racism, etc.) and made compelling points or presented both or multiple sides, and without letting the characters develop or learn, still put forth intelligent comments on the whole. And then in this episode, the characters ACTUALLY appear to be learning and growing... And then the creative swerve, haha. Also, my whole life I have really disliked musicals. Like every last single one. I just could never -stand- them. I don't know why. But Sunny? They have this and Nightman Cometh, and I love both!

Nikki Sonrisa

yes! I love this episode so freaking much! The Rules is probably my favorite song from the episode but all the others are just so freaking catchy and everything about the writing and the dialogue is just perfect. I love the social commentary and yes, you should definitely watch The Wiz; it will give you more context but also, it's just a great movie featuring Diana Ross and a young Michael Jackson.

Jay Willis

I don't know how they didn't win an Emmy for this

I love Scott Bakula's 'Oh boy...' right at the end there. My favorite part of this episode is watching Danny Devito half ass the choreography during some of the singing parts. In the alleyway, before they get to The Wiz? Amazing.

QUANTUM LEAP was a tv show from 1989-93 where Scott Bakula played a time traveling scientist who would "leap" from person to person, inhabiting a different life in a different time each episode, sent to fix something that went wrong the first time. Just like in this ep he looked like himself to the audience but was seen as another person in mirrors and by the other characters in the show. Ziggy (mentioned throughout this episode) was the name of the computer in the future controlling the project which monitored his progress.
