I get the comment, I'm just nitpicking. But I don't think having a gay mom/2 brothers ensures a person isn't going to be negative towards homosexuality. That's part of one of the really tough parts about being gay and/or coming out I think still actually - the family aspect. It can be fine, but in many cases it is not fine, and it is not accepted by close blood family. I agree though, I am pretty confident they aren't racist/national socialist, etc. and the humour is from a place of love. I just assume it is from a place of love like everything in the show, because of the self-awareness/satire/commentary intentionally implying so, and if anyone ever caught wind that things like Mac being gay was supposed to be gay because hahaha gay is funny, or cricket is funny because homelessness is a funny subject, etc. The show would have been over ages ago. I've also seen nothing from the show creators to suggest they would be putting out intentionally gay bashing, or mocking television. Those are neat tidbits about Rob, though. I feel like I knew that a while ago and forgot. Hope this reply doesn't come off the wrong way. On a side note, in the last episode that was amusing. When the creampie convo was happening, Dennis saying how he wouldn't want to be involved with the same creampies Mac is involved with.
