I think your analysis at the end was spot on. I'd give the movie a solid 7/10. Not amazing but not terrible either. It has a great concept as well as overall plot, and I liked the visual style and special effects (with the budget constraints in mind). Definitely agree with what I saw as somewhat stilted/wooden acting, an uneven audience connection to the characters, and a certain lack of weight to the ending. As an aside, was it just me or did anyone else think the actress who played a teenage Brianna looked 30 years old at times? I know she was around 21 when they filmed this, but she has an older looking face (not ugly, to be clear!), and it was really distracting to me when they first introduced her character. haha
