1. So starting this month I want to try something slightly new with movies where every other week I decide on a movie myself (this would be separate from polls and would not affect any of those winners being watched). Amidst all the poll winners there's new movies that come out or other movies that I know don't stand a chance in the polls that I never get the opportunity to watch, but I would still like to watch along with you all. Even beyond that, getting to pick something out myself every few weeks would help me feel like I have a bit more control of my own schedule (you all haven't let me down yet with the choices! but outside of encouraging votes for Primer in the poll I've never really selected a movie to watch for the channel myself). Now some of the movies I pick for this will be ones that have been recommended by people that particularly peak my interest, but some may be ones that I've just learned about on my own, so there won't be a specific system and it'll likely just be what I'm feeling like watching a certain week. There may even be some rewatches along the way for ones I haven't seen in a while, or some I want to see if my opinion has changed on them. I'll be starting this week with it (and just to reiterate, it'll be every other week, so only about 2 a month), and as a heads up the movie will be Nobody (2021) (also I only know it stars Bob Odenkirk and it's from one of the writers of John Wick, so please don't tell me anything else about it).

2. The 2nd item of business is a question for those who watch along with me for the TV shows. Later this month will be the poll for what I'll be watching after BCS as next month I'll be finishing Season 5. Now so far most of the shows I've watched for the channel have been heavy character/historical dramas (Chernobyl, Breaking Bad, Band of Brothers, True Detective, Fargo, Better Call Saul, Ozark), only The Boys and Always Sunny have been poll winners outside of that realm. I know "heavy character/historical drama" is kind of a loose term and most shows can basically be considered dramas in one way or another, but hopefully I'm making sense. And obviously, these have all been amazing shows. However, I don't want to wear myself out too much with one particular genre (which is why I also like mixing up the movie genres) because I'm worried it would make the reactions feel somewhat monotonous. For example, The Boys was a nice change of pace after BoB and True Detective before jumping into Fargo. I know a lot of people would like The Sopranos or The Wire as the next show but I was just wondering what people thought about doing a show in a slightly different genre/style before bringing those back into the poll after? I haven't seen either of them of course, but as far as I know they're somewhat similar to what I've watched, in that they're "heavy character-driven dramas", but if I'm way off on that you can correct me. If people are against this idea then we'll proceed as normal, but I just was curious to get any feedback or thoughts. If you are fine with mixing it up slightly before jumping back into that realm, let me know any shows you feel would be good to check out (any 40 minute to an hour long episode show, which could be things already put on previous polls or any new ones).

Wouldn't mind seeing you react to Billions or Suits. They are heavy comedy/drama shows but there isn't constant killing and death like Breaking Bad or BCS

Longtime subscriber, first time Patreon. I'm absolutely thrilled you're considering The Wire. It's arguably the greatest show ever made. I was recently watching another reactor reacting to The Wire on Patreon he said he was amazed that the majority of his Patreons joined because of The Wire. Nearly 100! It really does have a cult following. Anyway just want to say keep up the good work, I really enjoy your insightful commentary.
