Better Call Saul S2E8 (Fifi) Full Length Reaction

Comments

Scott Bennici

That opening sequence is just pure art. And why do people have to either hate or either like Howard and Chuck, and just tv characters in general? There are both good and bad things to them, but watching them is always fun. Also good call on Patrick Fabian being a good actor. A really fun character Howard is.

brandonlikesmovies

I've never said I don't like watching them, in fact I enjoy having characters I dislike in a show because I'm more invested if there's someone to root against.

Great reaction as always Brandon! Super excited for the episodes to come! :)

i just noticed when jimmy and kim are talking bout are they sure they still wanna do this. jimmy says " youre there to help.. and IM THERE TO HELP YOU" but then proceeds to not even help her get up off the ground.. maybe subtle symbolism of the relationship to that point

Nikki Sonrisa

meh. just because a character has nuance, doesn't mean I can't hate them lol I hate Howard and Chuck because they're both assholes, even though neither of them are straight up evil.

Nikki Sonrisa

I don't doubt that Chuck would help Jimmy in his time of need; we've seen it before in the show. the difference, I think, is that while Jimmy does it out of true love and care for his brother I think Chuck would do it out of some sense of obligation. I've watched this show a few times and I honestly get the sense from Chuck's character that he has always seen Jimmy as a burden, rather than someone that he genuinely cares about.

Notice the program Mike was watching at the end while he was putting the nails in the hose. "Walter, you're not going to be my boss!"

A lot of work went into that opening scene. Some of the buildings and structures in that shot are cgi. And yes you were correct about the cut in that long shot. it's when the border agent walks by. http://imgur.com/a/SPE2ycN

Oh the hotdog joint I think is where jesse bought the gun when he thought Tuco was going to kill them but I am NOT certain. I know it was in BB though lol

James Park

It was in a number of shots but yes. Jesse did buy the gun from a guy there and also he's seen eating there sometimes.

Man, looking back at this show you really realise how often Jimmy was in the wrong and Chuck wasn't doing anything wrong necessarily. Chuck trying to retain and important client for HHM is something that any law firm would do and he did make some good points on why it would be silly to go with a solo practictioner when a whole team is available. Jimmy's actions at the end prove Chuck was right all along about Jimmy.

MrAlexSan

You can see the place too during Badger/Skinny P/Combo's meth selling montage in S2.

Anthony Lucido

Don’t tell me he’s gonna start whipping that around 😂😂😂

The Doghouse also appears in the final season of BB when Jesse gives a stack of money to a homeless man.

They are both flawed and are both to blame for their failed relationship. There is a large grey area.

Anthony Lucido

I’m not laughing at it like that. It actually struck me funny cuz another reactor I watched a long time ago said the exact same thing like holy shit that’s one hell of a whip and I just found it funny how Brandon said it

With all do respect, kindly just binge the rest of this show and roll it out asap cuz this is literally all I'm here for 😝 jk go at ur own pace, just know that this show only keeps getting better and I'm stoked for when ur all caught up and as hyped as I am for the final season. Dying to see who will full on break bad 🤟

420deepthroat

the fact that chuck, jimmy kim and howard all know each other and the relationships they have makes it more than just "something that any law firm would do" or makes it feel that way at least

Shadoe Price

Saying that Chuck was right about Jimmy all along is an extreme oversimplification of the series. It's no less silly than the "fuck Chuck" portion of the fanbase.

Shadoe Price

I think it has more to do with his respect for the kind of person she is. Would she want him to help her get up? "You don't save me. I save me."
