Anakin Starkiller

Quite frankly one of the best war series ever made

Xclusive

Hell yeah!! LETS DO THIS!!!

Carlos Hurtado

Im so excited for this one. I haven't seen it in 10+ yrs. Edit: Abraham from the Walking Dead. That's who you were thinking of. I didn't even notice until you mentioned it. He was great in that role.

Kingsley

Let's go. Such an incredible series

Salmonero

Oh man here we go..

The interviews at the start of episodes are the real life people portrayed in the show. They don't say who is who until the finale.

Isaac Schreiber

Woohoo, you're gonna recognize a hell of a lot of actors, many of them got early career boosts from this show.

An absolutely fantastic choice!

Many great actors got their starts in BOB. Michael fassbender and tom hardy to name a few. All characters are based of irl characters. Some scenes have shot by shot recreation from real life footage from the time. And finally. Private ryan belonged to easy company in saving private ryan. He is fictonal and obv not here but the series and the movie still ties together.

Band of Brothers is an oral history told by the men of Easy Company in World War II. Historian Stephen Ambrose interviewed the veterans, many who you saw in the beginning of this episode- those elderly men are survivors of the war. This series follows the exploits of Easy Company through WWII. The book, Band of Brothers is easily available and is a great read.

Surprised you did not name Michael Fassbender and Simon Pegg when they were on screen, Brandon. Edit: I see you caught Simon Pegg the second time. Haha

I'll never get tired of watching this series; even more when someone watches it for the first time, cheers!

Just finished this reaction. I've been looking forward to it so much. BoB is extremely important to me. I've seen it well over 30 times and it is responsible for why I majored in history and went into it as a field. I loved seeing your reactions to it, especially your love of the cinematography. - Band of Brothers was released in 2001 - As others have said, the men interviewed are the real men. They purposefully did not say who was speaking to keep the suspense for who made it to the end. - Simon Pegg was actually in the episode quite a bit before you recognized him. He was Sobel's right hand man. - Kirk Acevedo who plays Joe Toye was not in Saving Private Ryan. He was in The Walking Dead though as well as The Thin Red Line. - In the scene with the planes taking off in the end they only had 2 actual planes which were real. They used CGI to replicate the rest.

You mentioned you haven't seen Schwimmer in dramatic roles so I'd recommend the series "The People V OJ Simpson", he's fantastic in it.

Never subscribed to a Patreon before, but been lovin' Brandon's Youtube and Band of Brothers is, by far, my favorite series of all time. I'm all in for this. Curahee!!

Nice! I'll be watching these with you!

Am I the only one having sync issues ? I'm currently watching the full version on prime video (which gets it from OCS) and my version is always faster than Brandon's one : it desyncs in a matter of a few dozen of seconds.

Here's the solution someone shared: I fixed it by downloading the reaction and playing it using VLC player then setting the playspeed to x1.04

As others have told you, it's based on real events and real people. Once you finish the series, if you haven't already, definitely get a hold of the DVD or Blu-ray set. The extras are amazing. The behind the scenes of the actors in boot camp is my favorite. The actors kind of took on aspects of the people they're portraying. Like Damien Lewis displayed the innate leadership qualities of Dick Winters during training and so on. The book it's taking its information from is great. I used to reread it once a year but haven't had the time the past few.

i also love how in the scene with sobel being reassigned, he's sitting so awkwardly in the chair in mjr horton's chair- arms up, legs bent too high, clearly out of place. it was just perfect.

Are you not reacting to the rest of the series?
