Zemeckis also directed Contact and I think Flight.... Two very good movies!!!

I haven’t seen this film in ages but I noticed something I never had before with the bookends with the lady in Texas. She was kind of Tom Hanks’ character’s destiny. He was in Russia when FedEx delivered the package to her cheating husband. It’s established they’re both big fans of Elvis. It was her package (along with the photo of Kelly) that kept him going. And, against all odds, when he was trying to figure out which was to go, the lady shows up and lights the way. I also noticed this viewing that it was subtly stated she’d divorced her husband during Chuck’s time on the island. At the beginning of the film, the archway at her ranch said “Dick & Bettina”. When Chuck drove up, it’s shown she’d removed the “Dick” from her sign. So I appreciate that aspect much more. If you want a personal favorite Tom Hanks film of mine that doesn’t get the love that I think it deserves, I recommend Larry Crowne. It’s such a feel good film. I throw it on whenever I’m bummed. It’s got an awesome cast and fun characters. Also, another that isn’t as lauded is The Terminal. Another feel good movie. If you haven’t seen either of those, I’m putting them on your radar. One of my favorite dramatic films of his is Apollo 13. Hanks is super into the space program as well. Apollo 13 opened up the door to his first miniseries collaboration with HBO - From the Earth to the Moon. It’s a great series if you have even a passing interest in the story of the race to the moon in the 60s. One last thing - did you have full reactions to the BTTF trilogy? I’ve only recently started going through your Patreon full version backlog and haven’t yet seen them. Or were those films done before your full Patreon version uploads?
