The Silence of the Lambs Full Length Reaction.mp4

Fai

Hello, new patron here! I've really been enjoying watching these full-length reactions with you. This is such a great movie. And I would definitely recommend the television series, though be forewarned, it is a very heavy watch, like, in my opinion, a lot heavier than this movie. I stopped and started watching it multiple times because it truly is disturbing at times. But it is excellent and I enjoyed it a lot. As for movies, to be honest the only other good one in my opinion is Red Dragon, which is a prequel to this movie. I enjoy that one a lot, even if it's not as good as this movie. The other movies, especially Hannibal, just aren't that good, minus Manhunter, which I haven't seen. But yeah, there's a scene in Hannibal that actually made me laugh, and not in a good way lol And Hannibal Rising, which is like a Hannibal origin story, is a mixed bag for me. It's not a horrible film, but I don't like what it did with the Hannibal character and even the book it's based on isn't that well liked either.

You better see the 2 others now that you've seen the first of the trilogy :P

Fun fact, this is NOT the first time Hannibal Lector appeared in a movie... in the mid-80s Hannibal Lector was played by Brian Cox from X2 X-Men United in a movie called MANHUNTER

Hey Fai, thanks so much for becoming a patron, I really appreciate your support and hope you continue to enjoy the reactions! And this is good to know, definitely excited to check out the movies and shows.

Wilber

If you like the cast in this one, the 2 others will def suprise you more, especially the third one :3

The prequel to The Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon is actually a remake of Manhunter - I recommend watching Red Dragon first as it's the better version (but Manhunter is definitely a decent flick) - the sequel to The Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, is so horrific, I have never been able to watch it again so LEGIT be prepared - that movie might give you NIGHTMARES so be prepared - also Julianne Moore replaced Jodie Foster so you'll have to do a little Katie Holmes/Maggie Gyllenhaal brain recalibrating. :)

Nick Parker

Have you seen "Se7en" or "L.A. Confidential" ?

Nick Parker

I thought Hannibal(the sequel movie was very very good, I've never seen the show) but Silence of the Lambs is my favorite. I never saw Manhunter though. Is it worth watching?

Nick Parker

Oh, also "Zodiac" is an impeccably made movie about the Zodiac killer directed by David Fincher(As was Se7en)

Jason Dolan

Have you seen Red Dragon? That's my second favorite one. Manhunter is definitely worth the watch.

Jason Dolan

Se7en is definitely one of the best movies ever made

Rumpus Parable

I'd strongly urge to do a reaction to the film Red Dragon. It involves Lecter's background/how he was caught and similarly but differently has him aiding the pursuit of a different killer.... it's a prequel and worth it entirely on its own - but Hopkin's Lecter... speaks for itself.

se7en would be fantastic.

What error message are you getting? If you want to message me I can help as best as I can. It may also have something to do with payment processing going through but not sure

Well that was a total con, sign up to you rpage and pay and I can't play any of your videos because you made the decision to use google drive that only allows to play each video a certain amount of times then wont play any more. So unless you are the first few people to watch the video you wont be able to. Well enjoy my money for nothing.

Why does a handshake have to have some special meaning? I enjoy your reaction and think you give some good insight but sometimes i feel like you over analyze things. I really like how you mentioned the close up camera angles where the characters are looking squarely into the camera, those are some of my favorite shots in any movie i've seen, they're all over this movie. But I didn't think they held some kind of significance, just thought it was a cool looking shot.

Also, I thought Jodie Foster was absolutely incredible in this movie. Of course Hopkins was remarkable, that goes without being said, but Foster is so so good in this.
