4 minutes into the video. Gonna try to answer your question. So the world building is a big deal this season. Some of it being more important than others. An example I'll give is the national politics. Its actually fairly simple, but like the Kingdom (where Gazef is from) plays a big role. So knowing a lil about it would be good. But like the stuff about the lizard people? Probably can keep that more surface level. Enough to follow the plot. While a "main thing" I wouldn't say its "THE main thing". At least not for me. For me I love this season for the characters that get introduced. People outside of our main squad really sold it for me. Kept me invested and I found myself excited and rooting for them all the time. So i'd put more effort that way, but I'm sure everyone's got a different experience. Kind of like Nephiria (the alchemist) or Enri (blonde girl from the village) from S1.

Squiddy

This season is good because of the factions themselves and not necessarily the additional facts about them. You can ignore those. Why I like this season more than the others is because It has a lot of character interaction that focuses on the factions within the world and their bonds, so hardly anyone they build up feels like a waste of time OH AND MY GOAT ENTOMA WAS INTRODUCED

Oh so one note on this series or perhaps warning (and you kind of hint at this at the end): Because our squad is so powerful they often spend a lot of time on outside characters. I think this is because it is really hard to build suspense with how OP the main squad is. And they definitely introduce some fire characters. Think about that adventuring party that got merc'd by clementine for example. It was way more impactful because they spent time on the development. It also makes its more impactful when our squad does step into the ring. We're never too far away~ But yeah. Im personally not huge into the lizard people arc but there are some good points. Next arc though...!
