If your curious on why they did certain things, they made an interview on the official channel. As for the episode, perfect adaptation even better then the game, this episode is different from the game and they did it amazingly 10/10. Greythroat is a bird girl, specifically believe it or not, a Greythroat. Blaze got her moment here with her super hero landing. Loved how they added how she acts around amiya. Also if your looking for certain clarifications like this episode started chapter 6 in the game (last episode finished chapter 5) and eno killed his parents who stuffed an originum rock down his throat to stop him from singing, and became infected using his powers to kill them. Sasha joined him in being infected willingly yes. I wont say more but the interview is a nice watch, chens va is there and as a player herself promised that episode 5-8 adapted the game well. So i trust her lol and so far yea, shes not wrong.

Yeah season 2 has been a little less new viewer friendly. They're going quite quick but overall most of the important info is here. Other comment explained some things that weren't super clear quite well so ill leave this at that. They actually changed the ending of the episode from what happened in the game, and tbh this was WAY better. Got me feeling for Faust.

The way they introduced the black rain coats went hard. They showed that they were wiping out the infected well without like directly showing too much, and it worked. And the Lin Yushia name drop was SUPER well done. They hyped the hell out that, but new people probably be a little confused. Watching you jump out of your chair at the reveal got me good. She's a good character.

I feel like the main problem this season has is that it doesn't really properly show that the whole city is supposed to be erupting into rioting. Back in the first episode we see the moment when Ch'en says "Lungmen is under attack" but for the most part, the city seems fine. Lots of empty streets, sure, but there's no fire, no rubble, no actual rioting. It's like Reunion picked a couple of buildings and said "this is where we're going to attack, don't touch anywhere else." I was actually shocked when in the previous episode the LGD rolled up on their headquarters to retake it from Reunion, because at no point prior to that in the anime did they say that Reunion had attacked the LGD HQ. This works fine in the game, since it's just a visual novel they can say "there are riots" and leave it at that, but in an anime it's kind of a struggle to connect that since we don't actually see the rioting or the violence that Reunion is supposed to be causing. I mean we don't even see a single body in the mall from the start of the season or the LGD building, it's all just... empty. It's a shame because in theory this arc should be all about showing how distrust between the infected and non-infect spreads, as all of the infected are blamed by the people for the conflict and some of the infected join Reunion. It's left fairly implied in the anime, but in the game it's outright said that Reunion was able to get into the city so easily because of sympathetic infected who had been mistreated by Lungmenites - the same infected who, regardless of how they feel now, are getting culled by Lin and her Shadow Guard.
