Ill try explain what happened last episode. Give a little more detail but from available info. In the end, she didn't betray anyone and was just doing her job. Shalltear's mission was to find powerful people/capture someone who could use martial arts. She found someone (Brain), but he escaped. On her way out, she encountered some adventurers, who she promptly murdered except the girl with the potion. She learned the adventurers had a scout nearby to get help. She panicked, and tried to hunt them down in the forest using her like vampire pets. The vampire pets were killed by someone. She went in the direction and ran into an unknown group. They attacked her, and "Kaire" used a world item to try and mind control Shalltear. In response, shalltear threw a spear through a guard and kaire, preventing Kaire from giving her any orders. So now she is just standing there, mind controlled but with no orders.
