Howdy,

I hope y’all are benefiting from Bryan releasing his polite guide to sex on the show this week. Come out and see us live in Philly, Brooklyn, Queens, Portland, and Boston starting next week! Our buddy Nick Hayes, the one who did the Halloween show, and all of our best looking videos, is starting a leftist entertainment platform. You can listen to the bonus show with him and hear him explain how he got us kicked out of our hotel in NYC. You should also like, share, and spread the news about our new video with Means TV. We will be working with them extensively in the future. Here are some things I have enjoyed this week.

  • Ikiru (1952) - An incredible film about an office mummy guy who learns he is dying and decides to start living his life. This is nothing like a cliche hollywood feel good fairy tale. The vagabond and co worker who help him long this journey are perfect. The ending and the reactions to his death deepen the whole story even further. I will probably rewatch this regularly. Here is a copyright breaking mashup I made from one of the scenes in the movie.

  • Winter Wars by Wale. The song I used in that Ikiru mashup. This came up in my recommended music and I am bumping this and Old Town Road exclusively right now. One of those perfect verbal martial arts tracks with Wale riding a beat that sounds like it’s careening down a busy street. Sample from Nas makes it a certified head nodder.

  • This week in the Street Fight fitness group we were talking about feeling terrible about not going to the gym. The way I get out of a lapse in physical activity, is to just do one minute of physical activity. I will run up and down the block, do burpees, jumping jacks, and I will do it until I am beat red. That is enough to get me confident for more the next day. It also gets rid of the building misery of not doing anything at all.

  • Cribbage. I have lots of advanced level board games but cribbage has taken over our household recently. You don’t really need a board, just a deck of cards. It’s a lot of fun if you’re hanging out with 4 or 6 people because you can play as teams. Don’t sleep on it. There are always cribbage boards at the thrift store.

Peace,

Brett
