Jessie is born and raised in the US. She's American. That's why she had the Korean challenge with Sana.

The one you watched was their first "Grand Prize" they won. They asked for the first prize in general. That was Rookie of the year at MAMA 2015. Rookie of the year is not labeled as a grand prize.

Jessi was born in NY in the US, lived in Jersey until she was like 15, then moved to South Korea. Her music is pretty different from what you'd hear in Korea, and her whole vibe pushes against the more conservative Korean expectations. You should listen/react to her song "What Type of X" cause it's straight up fire!

I first got into watching Jessi’s Showterview as it seemed like an excuse for her to invite and get chaotic with her American/English-speaking friends. There would be mild/fun punishments for slipping into English, but once she and her guests would get loose, they wouldn’t be able to help speaking/yelling in some Konglish.

Jessi is from America. She was on a variety show talking about how tabloids were giving her flack for her implants, and she was like, "THEYRE MINE, I PAID FOR 'EM!" the guys on the show were really uncomfortable, and I laughed really hard!
