The only disappointment I have with NiziU is that we won't be able to see the side of Mayuka that she showed in Heartbeat until they transition from cute to mature concept. That performance made her my bias too because I prefer darker concepts like Dreamcatcher.

The reason you don't remember Mayuka in season one cause majority of her footage was unaired. Meaning not shown on broadcast. It wasn't your boomer memory this time. 😂😂

I think Mayuka didn't have any airtime up until the last performance in Season 1 because she was not showing much potential until that Dalla Dalla performance. You can really notice how the editing of Season 1 only highlighted the girls who grabbed attention since auditions. But all is good since then, Mayuka had also been my bias.
