12:53 Signal received very mixed reviews when it came out since it was pretty different to what they had released previously; it was the first song for TWICE produced by JYP himself. The Momo/Mina rap in the intro is what threw people off. In a later interview, the girls even shared similar concerns with fans when they first heard the song. They were confused as they didn't think it would be the title track. Sana was the only one that wasn't worried about the song's reception/success.

@TooGrown when they were saying mina is standard japanese they're talking about dialects so like sana is from osaka so she speaks in a western accent while mina knows standard so they sound a little different but obviously you can't tell unless you speak japanese

I really don't like Doni at all. He enjoys getting physical with idols way too much. Luckily he isn't working anymore so I hope that 's the last we'll see of him. His worst moments were on Idol Room, the show that hired him and Coni after they were fired from Weekly Idol.

Japanese is more complicated than Korean when it comes to informal and formal speech. Japanese has several levels of formality depending on the status of the person you're talking to. Formal speech is designed to avoid causing offense so the higher levels are so vague they're hard to understand. When the Emperor went on the radio to announce the Japanese surrender at the end of WW2, the ordinary people couldn't understand what he was saying. They'd never heard him speak before. The closest he got to declaring defeat was 'we must endure the unendurable'.

even though people hating on this mc, but as far as i know they're really close with twice, jeongyeon was inviting doni's daughter to their concert and they had each other phone number. and on feel special showcase, doni was sending a coffee truck for once and twice. so i think that "mean" personality is just his character on variety show just like youngchul being "bullied" in knowing bros.

12:20 so Mina made a joke about Japanese that makes sense if you understand the language. Sana has an Osaka dialect which is different from the Tokyo dialect. We don't have a direct comparison here in the West but maybe like American English vs. British English or in the U.S. northern vs. southern accents? Anyways, MIna was joking about Sana's Osaka accent and that Mina is in "charge of the standard Japanese"
